Onelife wraps are soft, stretchy and long lasting. Onelife wraps provide a very reliable waterproof layer, which fits snugly over a reusable nappy.
The Onelife Newborn XS size wrap fastens with Velcro. It has a cut away section at the top to stop the wrap rubbing on the delicate cord area. The newborn wraps are ideal if you are planning on using cloth nappies from birth. There are fold back laundry tabs on the wrap so that the Velcro stays clean and doesn`t pick up any fluff in the wash. This is the only Velcro wrap that offers the fold back laundry tabs. The panel of Velcro at the front of the Onelife wrap is larger than other brands and this makes it easier to make the wrap tighter by fastening the tabs lower down the panel. The newborn wrap is the only Onelife wrap to have a gusset which makes it ideal for newborn skinny legs. Once fastened the wrap makes a snug fit on even the smallest of legs.
The main size Onelife nappy wraps fasten with popper closures at the waist and legs. There are two poppers on each side at the waist and three each side of the legs so there are plenty of options to get a fantastic fit. Because of the separate leg and waist fastening, the Onelife wrap has excellent adjustability for the child whose legs and waist are not in perfect proportion to each other. With a Velcro wrap, if your child has thin legs but a fat waist, the nappy wrap may have to be closed too tightly at the waist to give sufficient containment at the legs, or vice versa. This is not the case with the Onelife nappy cover.
The popper fastening is also ideal if your baby has learnt to undo their Velcro wraps, as the poppers are virtually childproof! The problem with Velcro fastening nappy wraps, as with disposable nappies, is that your child can easily undo them. I know of several parents who use disposables but actually put a popper wrap over the top to stop their child taking the disposable off!
Finally, being popper fastening, the wrap is highly suitable for anyone with sensitive skin, and will not snag or catch in the wash. Washable at 60 with the nappies, you can also tumble dry the Onelife wrap on cool, although to be honest give it a good shake and hang it over a chair, and it will be dry within a few minutes anyway
There are side vents on the wrap that allows air to circulate around the nappy, making the Onelife wrap one of the most breathable PUL wraps on the market. The Onelife wrap is perfect over a night time nappy.
The Onelife nappy cover is very similar in design to the Motherease Airflow wrap. However the Onelife wrap is a neater cut and isn’t as puffy as the Motherease Airflow wrap, which makes it more streamline underneath baby’s clothes.
There isn’t a gusset in the Onelife nappy wrap that makes this wrap unsuitable for use over pad folded prefold or pad folded terry square nappies.
