Cotton Tots nappies are one of the most reliable and easy to use nappies that we stock and are produced to a high environmental standard. Cotton Tots are highly absorbent and very popular as a night time nappy. They are sometimes referred to as the Original Totsbots nappy.

Cotton Tots come with a pop in booster, which can be removed to make the nappy slimmer for a newborn and can be removed to speed drying. The booster can be folded to the front for boys and towards the middle for girls.
This nappy is very cute and is known as the Fairy Baby nappy for a very good reason. If this nappy is never tumble-dried it can go very "crunchy" in hard water areas, but there are tips in the Practical Nappy Tips section.
The Cotton Tots comes in two sizes and two fastening options:
Size 1 8-18lbs Aplix or Nippa fastening
Size 2 18-35lbs Aplix or Nippa fastening
Although both fastenings are stated as covering the same weight range there is no doubt in my mind that a nippa-fastening nappy will offer the best fit of any nappy. This is because you have total adjustability both left and right and up and down. In fact, I would go so far as to say that this is by far the best-fitting nappy on the market for the greatest number of children.
Using a Nappi Nippa is not difficult. Nor is it necessarily any slower than using Aplix, in the hands of an experienced nappy changer. Follow the link above to the page on how to use Nappi Nippas.
Obviously, an Aplix-fastening nappy is going to be nice and easy for less confident nappy changers. However, as with any similar fastening, you are largely limited to left-right adjustability. Many parents opt for a mix of Aplix and Nippa versions, depending on their circumstances.
Cotton Tots size 2-nippa fastening can be adapted to become a birth to potty nappy. The front is folded down to reduce the crotch length and then fastened with a nappi nippa.The Tots Bots nappy is relatively narrow between the legs so although it becomes bulkier at the front, this does not affect the fit between the legs significantly. Using size 2 as a birth to potty does make the nappy bulky on a small newborn and the perception of difficulty may also restrict the number of people prepared to change your baby’s nappy.

On the Aplix version, fold back tabs on the wings prevent aplix hooks sticking to other nappies in the wash, this makes sorting your nappy washing much quicker. If you always remember to fold the tabs back the aplix will last a very long time.
