Little Lamb

Little Lamb washable breast pads in my opinion are THE BEST washable breast pads I’ve ever used and I’ve tried many brands over the years of breastfeeding my three children.

So why are they go good.....?

  • They are extremely slim making them discrete in your bra and under clothing. You’ll have no more telltale round outlines under clothes even with fitted tops.
  • They are lined with a breathable PUL coating to ensure you don’t get any leaks. Many of the washable breast pads I tried didn’t have a waterproof layer at all. Once these other pads were saturated the milk would begin to seep through to your bra and clothes.
  • They are made of incredibly soft and super absorbent bamboo which holds more liquid than traditional cotton pads.
  • Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal reducing the risks of yeast infections.
  • The diameter of the pads is 11cm or 13cm so they will not slip about or peek out of your top. 11cm are the average size however for more well endowed ladies (lucky you) 13cm offer better coverage and higher absorbency.

Simply pop these into your bra and position centrally over your nipple. They are highly absorbent and even with my strong milk let down I never needed to change them due to them being saturated. In the first few months of breastfeeding I did change them during the day purely for hygiene but over time as my milk flow began to settle down they were perfect for all day use. I also used these for managing night time leaking too.

I wash them with my normal household washing at either 30 or 40deg and dry them on an airer over night. You may find putting them into a small mesh laundry bag helps prevent them getting separated or lost in with other washing.

The breast pads come in packs of 5 pairs and are tied together with a ribbon to reduce packaging. You will need between 5-10 pairs depending on your milk let down and your washing frequency.

Washable Breat Pads

They're great. I change them once a day and they keep me feeling dry and not leaking onto my clothes! It took a good few washes to stop bits of fluff making my baby look like she had a beard after her feed!

Would recommend

I found these great especially in the early days when I was very sore. Much more comfortable and absorbent than disposables or other brands I tried. I washed a couple of times before use and haven't had too many problems with fluff as some other reviews have said. With the laundry bag it's easy to just throw them in the wash with other stuff and they don't get lost.

Fab, no leaks!
Monday, 23 February 2015  |

These are great, very soft and comfortable. I've had no leaks. The only thing to note is that occasionally my LO would get a black fuzz on her face from the residue of the pads. I'm hoping this will go away with a few more washes of the pads. Don't hsbe this problem with the natural colour.

Work well, but...
Tuesday, 17 February 2015  |

these work well, but the need A LOT of pre-washing before they're effective at all (I probably washed at least 6 times before they started really working). I bought the larger size and use them alone during the day and with Johnson's disposables at night

Better than the Boots ones
Wednesday, 4 February 2015  |

Very slim and soft, mine last all day- occasionally i need to change them if my boobs are being very leaky. A million times better than the awful Boots ones.
Shrunk a little bit after washing and tumble drying- would order the bigger size next time.

Only negative is that they leave little bits of fluff stuck to your nipple which isnt ideal but not a huge issue.

Comfortable and reliable
Wednesday, 4 February 2015  |

I bought these breast pads after finding disposable ones so uncomfortable, itchy and I have previously had thrush, I think due to disposable breast pads. I find these ones fantastic. Never itchy (even when they're wet) and I find them as absorbent and reliable as disposables. They was brilliantly and dry surprisingly quickly given how absorbent they are. Really happy with the purchase and such a relief to be out of disposables!

Good product
Monday, 2 February 2015  |

I Agree with other review that fluff from the pads sticks to your nipples so needs checking before feeding but that reduces with washing and ultimately I much prefer them to disposable pads. I bought the smaller size, as I now only leak small amounts often these are perfect for me. Fast efficient service. Ordered a mixed colour pack but only white arrived, a quick reply following my e-mail and correct pads re-sent with a returns envelope for the incorrect item, all very swift and efficient. Thank u nappy lady

Soft but stick to nipple...ouch!
Monday, 19 January 2015  |

When I first purchased the breast pads I was impressed at how lovely and soft the material felt. They were a good size too (I got the 11cm ones). BUT I found that they stuck to the nipple. So when they were removed in preparation for a feed it was slightly painful and left fluff stuck to my nipple. I really wanted to like this product but have had no choice and am using disposable pads again.

Response:

sorry to hear you're not getting on with the breast pads. In all the time i used them i never had them stick to me. Make sure you're not tumbling them as this can make them loose fluff.
