Miosolo All-In-One Nappy by Bambino Mio

The MioSolo is designed to be birth to potty and to fit from 7-35lbs. The length is adjusted by poppers on the front of the nappy and the waist can be adjusted using the velcro tabs. This nappy is especially good for tall and chubby babies as it has such a generous cut.

The MioSolo is an all in one nappy from Bambino Mio. The inside absorbent fabric is supersoft and made of microfibre which is fairly quick drying and offers good and reliable absorbency. On the inside of the pad is a tab to help you easily pull out the absorbent tongue before the soiled nappy goes into the nappy bucket. There is also a little pocket at the end of the nappy tongue to help you easily insert the pad.

The MioSolo is designed to be birth to potty and to fit from 7-35lbs. The length is adjusted by poppers on the front of the nappy and the waist can be adjusted using the velcro tabs. I do have reservations about this nappy being used on a baby from birth as it's so long the leg holes can still be too big.  I think it's much better from 12lbs+.

I find this nappy to be quite bulky in comparison to other all in ones like the Bumgenius Freetime however it is a lot longer than other all in ones so if you have a very tall child this could be a good nappy to get you to potty training. The waist fitting is also exceptionally stretchy so it's also a good choice for very chubby babies. As it is so stretchy i've found it can leave 'sock' marks on baby but it won't irritate or cause soreness.   This would be a nappy that if you need to top up your nappy system once baby is 6 month+ and you've found that they are particularly tall/chubby and you're struggling to fit them into other all in ones this would be a good choice.

Perfect for long babies

Great fit for my long son. Velcro can be angled for his smaller waist and chunky thighs. Washes well, tongue agitates out in wash, drys quickly, easy to reinsert tongue with handy pocket.

Great day nappy
Friday, 20 October 2017  |

Love these, great functionality- hardly any leaks ever and not very bulky. They also are really easy and quick to change, the velcro fastening is brilliant- just like a disposable nappy. Fit my tall 4 month old well. They take a bit longer to dry than my bum genius all in one nappys, but not by much.

We love mio solo nappies, they are super easy to use, absorb well and very fluffy, I love the extra fabric sawn into the insert, so it is easy to stuff, and you dont have to touch it in order to un-stuff it before laundry.
Will definitely order some more.

Slightly disappointed
Monday, 6 March 2017  |

I love the design of Mio nappies and also they are easy to use. Absorbency is very good, but I do have problem to get rid of yellow marks from the poo. The rest of the my nappies are nice and white after wash only Mio once is still with marks. Even I pre-washed it and washed it on 60.

Not such a great nappy for our son
Friday, 3 March 2017  |

I am disappointed with this nappy and with the recommendation. Our son is tall so we were recommended this nappy as the only option for him for an all in one nappy. We were not keen to use polyester but since it seemed to be the only one recommended by the nappy lady, we bought 15.
The velcro on the nappy is already folding back and the top of the nappy is so firm it is creating a raised red lump on our son's belly button. They don't appear so breathable either so he is getting a bit rashy too. He had lovely skin before. Also leakages out the legs too.

We tried to sell them on but no takers yet so feel like we have wasted money and resources in investing in these nappies.

The nappy seems to also restrict his movement a lot. He was rolling over easily before we bought them and now has trouble. When I change his nappy and give him some time out of the nappy he has his feet in his mouth and rolls around happily, protesting when I put the nappy back on as he can't then get his feet to his mouth anymore.

A good thing about them is they are quick to dry.

We have now bought Bumgenius and they fit him better and don't restrict his movement so much.

Response:

Sorry to hear you haven't got on well with the miosolo. They are an excellent choice for tall children as they are so much longer than other all in ones. As baby grows you may find that he outgrows the other brands you're using.

All cloth nappies are more breathable than disposables so if he's getting a rash it's important to look at other areas such as is he teething, how are you laundering the nappies.

Cloth nappies support and stabalise the hips, while baby is small this can make less movement than when they are without a nappy or in a disposable but this isn't a bad thing and as baby gets bigger and the need for hip support is less full movement will be there. The bumgenius will be slimmer but they are also smaller.

Toucan Mio solo

I love Mio solos, only recently discovered them and realise there have been some pul issues with some prints but I've avoided them.

The toucan is a gorgeous print and as ever find Mio solos last 3-4 hours with no leaks, brilliant fit, not too bulky and quick to dry. Would happily use only these all day.

My favourite nappy
Wednesday, 1 June 2016  |

Miosolos are up there with my absolute favourite nappies. They are very reliable and the middle of the road price tag, makes them affordable. Easy to use, easy to wash and dry and if used correctly are more durable than many other brands. The new geometric prints are lovely and add to the many different patterns you can get. I really highly recommend these nappies. These are the most 'reached for' nappy by everyone in the family.

We've really got on well with the solos. At home, we use Tot Bots nappies with a Motherease wrap but we have the solos for going out and when the Tot Bots haven't dried. They fit ready well, wash well and dry in about 24hrs (less on a sunny day). Excellent all in one.

Best nappies we've found
Friday, 22 April 2016  |

I have tried many different reusable nappies on my two little ones and the mio solos are by far my favourite. Very easy to use, stays super soft even in our very hard water area, absorbent enough (though needs boosting at certain times of day), great colours/prints, and dries very quickly compared to most other nappies. Highly recommended!

The nappies adjust well to my 3 month baby. They are quite absorbant for the moment and the patterns are sweet. I prefer the velcro than the poppers as it makes it easier to adjust to the baby. They dry very quickly too (we do not have a drying machine). I bought more latter on. I definetly recommend them.

Caution
Tuesday, 8 December 2015  |

Unfortunately we have only used it once. We used it overnight and the next day baby had a terrible rash on all the area covered by the nappy. We think it might be hypersensitivity or allergy to the material. Obviously this is a one off personal experience and the nappy is of an excellent quality and it has a great feel and finish, however as much as we want to like it and based on our experience can not recommend

Response:

The miosolo is ONLY a daytime nappy and shouldn't be used at night time. For night time the best option are two part nappy systems such as a bamboozle or bumble with additional booster and a Motherease airflow wrap. A miosolo even if additional boosters were used wouldn't offer enough absorbency for nights so you'd get leaks and baby would be kept too wet.

Miosolo nappy
Thursday, 29 October 2015  |

Is my first experience with any nappy. I also had some "cheapies" to compare with. The seem fine, leaks rarely, however once my baby got a horrible wounds near the hips, don't know wheather I tied the nappy too much or it was too loose, any advice? Otherwise I think they are too expensive in comparison with the e-bay cheap substitute which to me do the same trick. The have nice design though.

Response:

Yes you definitely had the nappy on too tight. Miosolos have strong elastic so you don't need to pull the nappies nearly as tight as you have to with "cheapy" nappies as the elastic is far superior quality. Ease it off and you'll find they are fine and last a really long time.

Excellent Nappy
Friday, 24 July 2015  |

I used these with my chunky older boy who is now potty trained, and now with my 14 week old who is fairly skinny. The fit has been excellent for both. I didn't think they would suit my little baby, but have been suprised how well they think. Being velcro they can be adjusted perfectly, and the velcro is good quality.

Use this as a night time nappy with a cotton booster and it works really well for our little boy, who wears it for about 12 hours. it is much more bulky than the BG nappies we have but still works well. Dries quickly. The un-stuffing is a smelly job in the morning thou'!!!

A bit fiddly, quite reliable
Sunday, 7 June 2015  |

We bought the Miosolo to try them out on a very tall baby. They fit beautifully, are easy to use, but fiddly to get the liners in. Baby is 1, so I need two liners, otherwise nappy leaks fairly soon. With two liners it feels quite bulky and is not so easy to get on. Also the velcro does not give as tight a fit as poppers do. All in all, it is a good, reliable nappy, but a bit complicated to fit on baby.

Its one of the best brand name nappies I have used. We could get over 6 hours with this nappy with no leaks with our 6 month old. However, i get the same time using cheapies for a fraction of the price. Still fab nappies nonetheless with super cute patterns. Would recommend.

Nice print, fits well
Monday, 18 May 2015  |

Insert is fixed what makes this nappy less flexible. Saying that, there's less hassle while sorting laundry and assembling nappy. I also prefer poppers over velcro what gives me better fit but so far this one works on my long 2 months old baby. Fabric is quite soft and print very cute.

Excellent for big babies
Thursday, 23 April 2015  |

I have a variety of nappies. I bought this one when Poppy was 7 months old as her other btp nappies are only just meeting at the sides. I doesn't leak, dries quickly and is easy to put together. The nappy has been well designed to pull apart for washing. It is quite a bulky nappy making it quite hard to find clothes to fit round it. My only reservation would be whether it will last till she is potty trained but all in all i would highly recommend this nappy.

My go-to nappy yet again!
Tuesday, 10 March 2015  |

I've had 2 babies in cloth and have found with each of them that miosolo's are the only btp that fits right up to potty training. Both my boys are tall & solidly built & these lasted is right up until 2 1/2 with my reluctant potty trainer. My youngest is 18 months & very tall & I still have one rise snap poppered down on these but not on my other brands. I do need to boost but with hemp I got 4 hours out of them for my heavy wetter & 1 bamboo booster is enough to get 4 hours for my average wetter.
The new designs look so cute. I'll be back to stock up after pay day!

Good quick drying nappy for tall children
Thursday, 26 February 2015  |

For my toddler who is long and slim this nappy is great. I was hesitant about ordering after the nappy lady described them as "clunky", however I am a convert. I do need to boost it, but the containment is great both ways and once boosted it can easily last 4 hours for my heavy wetter. It is significantly slimmer than my teddies with a wrap. It dries as quickly as the microfibre teddies. I feel the teddies are not long enough and my little boy isn't yet 18 months. The mio solos are longer and I think will see us through to potty. The laundry tabs stay closed in the wash. Ordering more of these.

Too long and bulky
Wednesday, 17 September 2014  |

Bought as part of the all in one trial. This nappy looks good, the prints are fab, however I only use this nappy as the ' morning' one, when he's just woke up and we're not going anywhere. It's far too bulky for my 7 month old. There seems to be too much material at the back. The elastic always leaves a mark on his back/bum and he can easily undo the velcro! Postitve points are that it is very absorbant, no leaks, and it is always the first one to dry.

I have tried several nappy brands, both well know more expensive nappies and cheapies and i have to say these are one of the best brands in my opinion. My 19 month old is quite tall and a very heavy wetter, so although i have to boost these nappies i dont have any problems with fit or leaks. Very reliable and highly recommend. Just wish they came in more funkier colours and patterns like some of the other nappy brands.

This is the one of the few all in one / pocket nappies that keeps my little boy dry. Most other ones I have tried leak around the legs in less than an hour. They are really easy to use and quick to dry and economical. The colours are nice but my only complaint is they don't come in as many pretty patterns as soem of the others! Probably a good thing for my back balance though!

Most absorbent All-in-One I've ever tried
Friday, 25 January 2013  |

I purchased little lamb microfibre nappies in size 1 and 2 from the nappy lady last year, my daughter is 20 weeks now and they're still incredibly soft despite living in a hard water area and dry almost instantly, they have never ever leaked and last much longer than disposable nappies ever did! I absolutely adore these nappies and have recommended them to many other mums!

MioSolo by Bambino Mio
Friday, 25 January 2013  |

Good point of MioSolos are: at full size they are long, so are good for tall toddlers; they have lovely soft PUL covers; they dry quickly (a few hours on an airer and overnight in the airing cupboard); they are quick, easy to use and easy to stuff. The main negative point is that they are not very absorbent. I boost mine with a Little Lambs bamboo booster and to avoid leaks I still have to change my 18 month old after a maximum of 2 hours. I tried two boosters but it was very bulky. I think that given this, they are a bit expensive for what they are. I get the same amount of time/absorbency from a cheap pocket nappy that cost 5!
