This was the first time I bought a nappy from this brand. I wanted to try the Minky outside and loved the print. This nappy is great! The trifold booster it come with is super absorbant and it easy to add in another booster inside the trifold if needed. I have a 1 year old boy so it’s handy I can stuff extra at the front. Most of my other nappies are double gusset so I was a bit apprehensive but like I said this nappy is great and the outside is so soft against my babies skin! The poppers are different to most other nappies as there are none at the front but they are at the side and it’s worked well with my boy. Will be getting more from this brand!
And as always, love service and communication from the nappy lady. Definitely recommend!

Love these! The side snaps give a really good fit for my chunky-thighed one. The trifold is very absorbent and dries quickly. And such good value!

The downsides are: both PUL and minky have a minky interior which is not wipe-clean, so I can rarely get more than 1 use before it starts to smell. The crotch is very narrow so they can only be used with narrow inserts. Single gusseted - had a few small wet leaks and not sure how it would cope with a poonami. Patterns could be better - there are some great Aussie textile designers out there!

The PUL covers seem smaller than the minky - at 8 months I already have to use the final thigh popper.

Despite the negatives, still 5* as one of my favourite nappies.

I've been trying lots of different all in two nappies with my 5 month old and these are by far my favourite. They're very slim fitting, easy to fit and easy to change. The trifold booster alone seems to have great capacity and air dries really quickly. I love the feel of the minky cover and they don't leave deep elastic marks. I've been adding an extra fleece liner, but the trifold booster already has one built it so the extra layer is probably not necessary. Also works out as quite a reasonably priced system when compared to other similar products.

I used to use Terry towels and a cover for Boo overnight, but she would still wake up damp and irritated in the morning, regardless of what I did. Bought three of these on a whim (the minky fabric), with the overnight booster, and had no problems at all. They contain really well, don't irritate, and the minky is SUPER soft. The designs are also gorgeous. It's been about 2/3 weeks since I ordered the first ones, and I've come back today, to buy two more. Cannot recommend enough!

My daughter is tall and chunky and these are a good option for her. They are very soft and have an elasticated piece at the front. They don’t leave any sock marks. I use them with the Bubblebubs trifold which is also nice and soft and holds a fair amount of wee. These are also good for toddlers because they are super stretchy and could be used as pull ups.

I absolutely LOVE my Candies. The shell is so ingeniously designed (no front poppers) so I like that there is no faffing. The side poppers make it very easy to fit them over a wriggly standing toddler and I must say the elastics are so stretchy that I can get away with using them like pull ons. I have a little preference for the minky ones rather than PUL but that’s purely because they are soooo soft. The PUL is still amazing quality though

Over the past few weeks I have been using the beautiful mermaid print bubblebubs candie all in two nappy. 

I prewashed it twice before using it and have used it four times since, washing it in between uses. 

What I have loved 

So far my favourite element of the bubblebubs candies have been the design (yes I’m a sucker for pretty nappy prints!), the absorbency, the all in two method and the ease of folding and popping in the insert. I also love that it is amazing value as well in terms of finances. 

All of the prints are pretty impressive. Style wise bubblebubs looks amazing: I love the look of the side poppers too from both the front and back of the nappy.

Fit wise round the thighs the side poppers get a really good seal in the knicker line which is great for preventing leaks. I like that the side poppers will come in useful when we begin toilet training as they look similar to a pull up and will be easy to snap on when she is independently standing up and using the toilet - I can see the benefits of only undoing one side of poppers, pulling the nappy down then pulling back up and doing only one side of poppers up when we reach that stage. 

The inserts are made of bamboo and I have found the nappy very absorbent. I’ve only used the booster once to try it out. Unboosted we managed four hours without any leaks which is great - it’s slightly less absorbent than a wizard uno but about the same absorbency as a blueberry simplex or smart bottoms.

With the trifold in this nappy is about the same thickness of a baba and boo nappy so it’s fairly bulky, not as skinny as a little lambs pocket, blueberry or wizard uno. With the booster in we got just under six hours out of the nappy with no leaks which was fantastic but I did find the nappy too bulky for us with the booster in. It could potentially be used at night if you have a baby that doesn’t wake for feeds overnight and is a light wetter overnight as an option.

Value for money wise this is a brilliant system. You would most likely need 6-8 shells for an average baby rotating 1/2 a day and changing the inserts each nappy change (as long as there aren’t any poos). Then you buy more trifold snap in inserts. Because the trifold already has great absorbency you wouldn’t need many boosters unless you were planning on using overnight or you have a ‘heavy wetter’ of a baby.

What I have not found so great 

So firstly for me was the side poppers at this moment in time. We have just exited the wriggly, wrestle your child to change them stage so for me personally I find front poppers much more convenient and easy. I am aware that many people find side poppers are better for wriggly babies so it’s something to consider and it looks great from the front. I also love that the side poppers are a unique design and that it will be a nappy I reach for more frequently when we hit the toilet training stage. 

For me I like front birth to potty adjusters. They get a much better fit around my daughters legs and tummy. And this is something the bubblebubs lacks. Whilst she is 14 months old she is only on the 25th centile weight wise and 50th height wise so she is pretty small. Again because of the side poppers I found the fit wasn’t as good on her and the top of the nappy would fold over on itself at the top. This wasn’t a problem and didn’t cause leaks but I didn’t like the look of the folded over nappy. This would suit taller or longer babies. 

Overall this is a great nappy system of choice and really good value for money. It’s easy to use, looks great and has brilliant absorbency. 

Good quality wrap. On the smaller side so gives a good trim fit. I only ordered with the smaller booster but this does not have poppers so you should order the tri fold option instead if you want to use this as a system. The wrap fits over other nappies as long as they are narrow though.
