Why are Moltex disposables "eco" disposables?
Moltex "eco"disposables are eco due to using renewable raw materials and because they contain no chlorine, latex or fragrances.  As with all "eco" disposables, biodegradable disposables are a myth if they are sent to traditional landfill. Renewable Raw Materials
Moltex use cellulose derived from wood and guarantee that the cellulose processed in their products comes from sustainable forestry operations involving continual reforestation.  Their renewable raw materials are certified by the FSC seal.
What is FSC?
FSC is an international forest management certification system which guarantees that wood and paper products come from responsibly managed forests. Certified forest management systems must conform to environmental and social standards.
How does a forest managed in accordance with FSC standards look?
In a forest managed in accordance with FSC standards, trees to be used in the production of wood and paper products are harvested in such a way that the negative impact on forest flora and fauna – and thus the entire ecosystem – is minimized to the extent possible. FSC-certified forest management is devoted to protecting the people, plants and animals that live in the forest.

Chlorine, Latex, Fragrances
No chlorine
The cellulose in MOLTEX is not bleached with aggressive chlorine, but instead with oxygen as well as oxygen compounds (peroxide and ozone).
No latex
Because natural latex contains proteins which are suspected of causing allergies, MOLTEX contains absolutely no natural latex, which means that there is no risk of allergic reactions.
No fragrances
MOLTEX contains no perfumes or lotions. The absorbent surface is merely treated with a natural tealeaf extract, which serves as an effective odour binder.
