Nappies Little Lamb nappies - microfibre are very soft and absorbent; microfibre will also always remain soft even in hard water areas. Microfibre nappies dry superfast and are ideal if you have limited drying facilities or don’t want to use a tumble dryer. The Little Lamb Microfibre will come out of the washing machine almost dry and will need a quick dry on a line or 10mins in a tumble drier. Little Lambs are also a fantastic price for a sized nappy system.

The microfibre fabric is knitted onto the nappy base rather than weaved to ensure it doesn’t shrink. I personally have some microfibre nappies that have been used by all three of my children, lent to friends, used for nappy fittings and demos and they are still going strong. I find microfibre nappies the longest lasting nappy fabric of all nappy fabrics available.

All Little Lamb nappies fasten with Velcro making them extremely simple to use. The tabs on all the Little Lambs have a crossover tab at the waist so the nappy can be made a tighter fit for a smaller baby. There are laundry tabs inside each nappy which are designed to secure the tabs before the nappy goes into the bucket or washing machine. This prevents the Velcro picking up fluff in the washing machine and makes the Velcro long lasting.

The fit of the Little Lambs has been altered and offers a fantastic fitting nappy. The leg is tight enough to prevent leaks but not too tight to create any chaffing. They use the softest elastic that is gentle on baby’s skin but is robust enough to last. The waist is also elasticated to help contain any explosions.

Little Lamb Microfibre come in two sizes. Size 1 fits 7-18lbs and Size 2 fits 18-35lbs.

Each nappy comes with a double layer microfibre booster to increase absorbency further. This is loose in the size 1 nappy so the nappy can be made slimmer for a newborn but the booster is sewn into the size 2. This booster is an integral part of the nappy and you will need an additional booster for night time. You can use the Little Lamb Microfibre for night time however the Little Lamb Bamboo or Little Lamb Cotton are more absorbent and would be my preference as a night time nappy.

All Little Lamb nappies come with a fleece liner so you don’t need to buy fleece liners separately. You can of course use disposables paper liners instead if you prefer. The Little Lamb nappy is a short length nappy and if your baby is tall, or has the potential to be tall, this might not be the nappy for you.

Microfibre makes a bulkier nappy due to the fluffy fabric. Many people have a mix of Little Lamb nappies so that they have some bulkier but superfast drying Microfibre and slimmer but slower drying Bamboo or Cotton nappies.

These are working for us. They are bulky but they are soft and dry soooo quickly, almost dry out of the wash. With a motherease wrap it is bomb proof... so far! We have wanted the all in one nappies to work but even the expensive ones have leaked. I prefer the two part nappies.

The microfleece nappies are great. Very soft and dry quickly. We used them on our camper Southwest road trip where there quick turn around was essential. They are not as absorbent as the cotton or the bamboo.

Quick drying, great containment

These fitted my newborn well from birth, although as a two parter they are bulky, and I did have to use smaller wraps initially. They have great containment, even for the newborn poonamis! They do take a bit of getting used to, initially we got a few wee leaks but now we've got the hang of it they're great. They dry very quickly, which is needed as we don't have a dryer in our house. Would definitely recommend for the price.

Little Lamb microfibre nappy
Thursday, 26 December 2019  |

The microfibre nappy soaks urine nicely; although not as large amount as the bamboo one. It dries very quickly, maybe a half a day on an airer. It is also nice and soft. Fits well with the blueberry capri wrap and so far we had no leaks.
The velcro straps are strong and hold the nappy in place. Our little one is 18 months old and size 2 fits perfectly.

Super soft and comfy day nappy
Wednesday, 13 November 2019  |

As a newbie to cloth nappies these were recommended by TNL off the back of a completed questionnaire. At first I was dissapointed as I was looking forward to all the pretty prints available in other nappies but once I put these in to use and tested them against the 'pretty type' I soon saw that the others were style over substance...
The Little Lamb was a brilliant fit. My LO was in size 1 from 4 weeks until approx 6m and although she is under the weight guidelines for moving to size 2 she has a long body and the time is near...

If you follow TNL washing recommendation then these wash fantastically and eliminate any nappy rash etc. Absolutely fab nappy for the day. I love them. They dry in no time without heat.

Well I was so surprised by these nappies. I was introduced to them by my sister when she had her little boy. Not sure I got right version but these are great so soft to the skin and so so quick to dry after washing. Your not really waiting a few days for them to dry like some towelling ones I bought which take so long

We're big fans of LL. The microfiber is great if you neer quick drying and very soft daytime nappies. The LL wraps work great on top. Only cons are they're quite bulky and don't have as much absorbancy as a bamboo. That said we've had no leaks and she can wear one for 3-4 hours no probs.

Microfibre nappies
Thursday, 8 February 2018  |

Great nappies however i find they smell like burnt hair when baby is wearing them and they donít contain nearly as much as the bamboo! We use them overnight when my bamboo are still drying and have a heavy wetter so we use 2 boosters to help contain (which it does!) but I donít like using them just because of the smell which I donít get from bamboo.

Are they worth the price, yes! They stay nice and fluffy without tumble drying and come out the machine nearly dry, stick them over the radiator for 15/20 minutes amd youíre good to go! I would recommend them even with the smell issue and if your baby isnít up every 2 hours like mine for a feed Iím sure they would contain a lot more and not smell as strongly!

I ordered these by accident, I intended to buy some extra cotton ones, but they are very usefull as they are dry so quickly after a wash. they air dry long before the others are out of the tumble dryer. However they dont stay on baby's bum very long before he complains and the stitching on the velcro pads broke almost straight away.

Soft, quick drying and no leaks, but rubbish Velcro
Wednesday, 29 November 2017  |

I have been using these nappies occasionally for about a year. I have had both size 1 and 2.
They are lovely and soft against babyís skin even after washing in hard water. I donít think I have ever had any leaks even after 4 hours plus. They are also super quick to dry, dry within 12 hours even inside in winter.
However they are bulkier than an all in one, on baby and to carry around, this is probably the Main reason I donít use them more.
I have also found that on my chunky boy the size 1 didnít last long (up to 6 months maybe) and the size two was becoming very difficult to fit although he has now thinned out a bit so is better.
However my main complaint is that the Velcro is just not sticky enough. In fact it is rubbish. Both in terms of holding the Nappy on and on the laundry tabs which often come unstuck in the wash. One of my nappies has actually pretty much fallen apart where the Velcro has almost fallen off.
So a good Nappy in many ways particularly for the price, but I wish the Velcro was stickier.
The Nappy lady service is always excellent. Quality products, Speedy delivery and helpful advice.

These are so soft, fairly easy to put on, and wash really well. Just remember to double over the Velcro tabs when you take off after each change, so that they don't stick to each other in the wash they are a little bulky once covered with a firmer waterproof wrap which is a little restrictive with movement I feel

Velcro laundry tabs do NOT stay fastened!
Tuesday, 14 November 2017  |

I purchased these nappies for my first child in 2015. I like that they are soft and come out of the wash nearly dry. They have not stained either. However, the laundry tabs do NOT stay fastened in the wash resulting in the tabs being stuck to the other nappies when you take them out. This happens even with a lower spin speed. I have to unstick them before hanging them to try the rest of the way. If I decide to pop them in the dryer then they come unfastened again and I have to unstick them again. I purchased MotherEase Sandy's in the same size and the next size up (those fasten with snaps) because the laundry tabs coming undone was driving me batty. I'm now using the Little Lambs again with my second child since I have them but I get irritated by the Velcro every time. I would not buy these again.

So far so good

My little boy is nearly 8 weeks and I started using these when he was about 3 weeks (before then they looked too huge on him!). So far they've been great. No leaks during day or night when paired with a Mother-ease Airflow wrap, and they dry really quickly compared to the bamboo version (which I'm also getting on well with). No complaints, especially for the price.

These are a great nappy for people (like me) who live in a hard water area and/or don't have a tumble dryer. They dry in a few hours on the line, contain poo really well (never had it escape to the wrap), and stay soft. While I prefer natural fibers, these are definitely a great nappy to have in rotation.

Fantastic nappies for the price
Saturday, 22 July 2017  |

I really love these - they fit brilliantly, contain even massive newborn liquid poos, wash really well (no stains or smells), and last a good three hours (or 4-5 hours if you add a bamboo booster between the nappy and the wrap). I never bothered with the microfibre booster, I think if you need a booster you might as well use an absorbent one.

The waistband did get a bit stiff over time, and the Velcro tabs often come open in the wash. But the Velcro seems to stay sticky regardless, it's just a pain to separate the nappies. They dry within a couple of hours on the airer, and are very soft.

We started off using a far more expensive all-in-two system, and the Little Lambs are just so much more reliable. We used size 1 from birth (2.73kg) to four months (7kg, 65cm). The nappies are a bit short, and I can imagine my son will grow out of the size 2s before we potty train, but at £25 for 5 I don't really mind that.

It would be nice if the boosters were detachable in the size 2s like they are in the size 1s (I prefer the booster to be between the nappy and the wrap not inside the nappy because the fit around the legs is better that way, and I'd rather use a bamboo booster). But that's a minor quibble.

Pros and Cons, and alternatives!
Tuesday, 11 July 2017  |

Pros:
Microfibre nappies are great for us as we live in a very hard water area and don't use a dryer. They stay soft and dry really quick.
Very neat looking, the liners included are good for swapping about and using in other nappies.

Cons:
Despite my boy being small for his age (0.4th centile in both length and weight), we didn't get past 10lbs before the small size nappies were too tight on his thighs. We still use them but have had to doctor the leg elastics to loosen them enough - as far as I'm aware his legs are no chunkier than any other baby. So perhaps the 18lb maximum is a bit optimistic.
Also found that the laundry tabs unfasten themselves in the wash, unlike other nappies.

I also use Bambinex Teddies, which are more costly but absolutely worth the money. They seem better quality, fit better, and the top is less bulky when fastened. The Little Lambs are great but if you have the funds the Bambinex will last longer and fit better.

serve a purpose alongside other nappies
Monday, 22 May 2017  |

I probably wouldn't rely on just this nappy as I don't think it would be absorbent enough to see us through the night but I really enjoy using these and they certainly have their place within a nappy collection. They are super soft, they wash really well and come out practically dry so great to have a few nappies almost ready to wear whilst the others are drying.
The nappy lady advised us that they come up a bit shorter than other nappies which is definitely true but they are still fitting us at 4 months and I have a pretty ginormous baby! We use with the motherease rikki wrap and no leaks as of yet! Such a great price too I will definitely get a couple in the next size up when the time comes.

Little lamb micro fleece nappy
Sunday, 21 May 2017  |

So far these have been wonderful for our baby - 3 weeks old but plenty room for growth but not swamping her even though arrived early and was relatively small 7 lbs 4 oz. We have not been using a combo of these micro fleece for rapid drying and bamboo nappies and perhaps as our little one grows and wees more we will use the higher absorbabcy bamboos more but so far all excellent with the micro fleece and thrilled with haw fast they dry. Used with the little lamb nappy wraps they have been fab. Like the extra Velcro tabs for stopping things all sticking together in the wash (sometimes these work themselves undone but mostly have helped keep the nappies from forming a washing machine bashing mega knot of fabric).

Great But Can Get Stinky
Tuesday, 7 March 2017  |

We used these pretty much from birth to potty trained with my eldest, and they're generally very good - they were our go-to nappy for daytime.

Pros:
- Always stayed soft, even after years of use. Cotton and bamboo always got crunchy when dry, and really solid when wet, irritating my eldest's skin.
- Comfortable, never caused any skin irritation.
- Contains everything - never leaked in that sense.

Cons:
- Once my eldest was weaned these started to smell, and we've never been able to get the ammonia stink out, despite trying all sorts of methods. Will most likely have to buy new ones for the new baby. I guess microfibre just holds on to smells.
- The elastic in some of them has given up after a few years of use - it's perished and broken. Given the cost of new ones (and the smell issue), not worth repairing (although I did add new elastic to a few as an experiment).
- They get very wet all over very quickly with a heavy wetter so are fine with something like Motherease Airflow, but anything with cotton gussets (e.g. Blueberry wraps) will wick the wetness onto clothes (even with waterproofing spray). This was a constant issue for us towards the end of my eldest's time in nappies (at 2.5 years old).

Great, although manufacturing quality a little disappointing
Tuesday, 31 January 2017  |

I love my little lambs nappies. They are easy to fit and very absorbent. I got these microfibre ones as a quick drying complement to my slow drying bamboo ones. I was anxious they would not be absorbent enough for my heavy wetter, but I need not have worried. They absorb brilliantly, and I can use a bamboo booster if necessary (for example for peace of mind on a long car journey).
They dry incredibly quickly - great for when we visit the grandparents, who don't have the drying space we do at home.

The only negative thing I have noticed is that the sewing on these was not the quality I'd hoped for. The velcro on the front has come a bit loose on two of the five nappies, and the little lamb label has come off one of those. It's a simple thing to fix, but it's a bit annoying to have to do so soon after buying them.

A general note about little lambs: The notes from the nappy lady say that little lambs aren't great for tall babies - I suspect this will turn out to be true for us. My little one is only six months old, but big. He only lasted to 3 months in the size ones, and to be honest there is not a huge amount of room in the size twos, so I can see us needing size threes or to use a different nappy brand before he is potty trained.

Too bulky and absorbency not great
Monday, 17 October 2016  |

Unfortunately this nappy did not work for us. The nappy is too bulky to fit under regular clothes, and absorbency not great. I have tried microfibre before (Wizard Uno) so had hoped for better especially given the quick drying time, baby was very quick to complain about wetness.

However- I now use them to mop up change table messes and they are great for that purpose, especially since they come with a detachable liner and booster

Night nappy
Friday, 29 July 2016  |

I have a couple of these along with the bamboo version and use them as night nappies with the motherease airflow wrap. They work well and I haven't noticed much absorbancy difference, but occasionally my babies bum is a little red after the microfiber night nappy. I don't know if it's the material being less breathable or what, also an unnatural fibre? It clears up within hours and isn't major nappy rash or anything. But they are a great alternative to the bamboo version if you're concerned about drying times as they are very quick drying compared to the bamboo. Have stayed nice and white and soft

Fab!

Bought these as additions to our Little Lamb bamboo stash and am so happy with them. They wash really well (don't seem to stain like the bamboo ones do) and hold more liquid than I thought (our girl is a heavy wetter). Dry very quickly. The only tiny thing is the velcro tabs sometimes come undone in the wash (I think due to the bulk of the fabric) and can get caught on each other. We use with the Motherease Airflow Wrap and haven't had a leak since!

Great for short wear and emergencies
Tuesday, 28 April 2015  |

We got these as we have limited drying facilities and kept running out of nappies. They are remarkably thick with the included boosters and liners and, even after several washes in very hard water, very fluffy which gives baby a big soft bottom. But don't be deceived, a microfiber nappy is not going to last long on - two hours maximum on our four-month old girl. I reckon it's because the liquid is held between rather than in the fibres.
The upsides are that they do come out of a spin cycle practically dry (show them a radiator and they're done) and poo rinses off very easily without staining.
Size-wise they're not the most generous so our longish, skinnyish baby looks like she might not fit in size one for much longer. They fit securely, with big aplix patches that can be overlapped, though they do make the waistband feel quite wide and stiff. Laundry tabs are very effective too, and they're really good value.
So I'd say they're great for a newborn, or as part of a mixed system for an older baby, but unless you're really short of drying facilities I wouldn't recommend them for sole use.

Opted for these for better containment when out & about. Compared to the flip system nappies we have, they are a lot more expensive, but it's worth it not to have to worry about mess leaking out of the nappy!

These microfibre ones stay so soft & fluffy and dry pretty quickly, even without a drier, which is great!

Only downside is that adding a thicker type of insert to boost absorbency means that the nappy isn't so tight around the legs, and runny poo can escape - not usually beyond the nappy cover tho Because of this, the bamboo inserts with a stay-dry liner work better than flip inserts.
We use motherease wraps and also totsbots. Our econobum wrap also works.

I love love love Little Lambs. They are so super soft and dry incredibly quickly. No leaks even after a poo explosion! I'll certainly be buying the size 2 when needed.
