Motherease Bedwetters are the nearest thing to a disposable pull on pant, these washable pull up pants have a 100% polyester waterproof outer barrier in the same fabric as the Motherease wraps. The dense 85% cotton inner is very absorbent (approx 600 ml), but quite slow to dry - to speed drying, part of the inside is a soaker panel attached at the ends only. Machine washable at 60 and can be tumble dried.

These pants, sadly, have a most unattractive name. They are designed for children approx 3 years plus who still require a night nappy, but want the personal control of a pull on.

They are very expensive, especially if you need more than one, but bear in mind that two Bedwetter Pants equates to the approximate cost of just three month`s night-time supply of disposable pull ons. Also, since there is a definite market demand for them, but many people baulk at the new cost, there is a very high second hand demand for them.

Our experience is that these pants either work extremely well, or not at all. They do seem to be quite shape-dependent. So always prewash and use only one, until you are happy that it is right for you, before washing any others.  It should also be noted that they really do need two or three pre-washes before they get really absorbent.

POP POP Charity Print
The Nappy Lady website is 20 years old on the 30th November 2019 and to celebrate we have worked with Motherease to create this beautiful special edition print.  There is a very personal story behind this nappy which I'd like to share with you.
Wendy & Pop Pop
The Pop Pop Motherease print has been named in memory of my Dad, affectionately known as “Pop Pop” to his three Grandchildren.  When I was a young child I heard my Dad call his Dad Pop so I repeated it as Pop Pop and it stuck forever more.  When I had my own children children my Dad of course wanted to be a Pop Pop too!   Even when my eldest got older Dad told him you call me Grandad now if you want but nope it was Pop Pop forever!

Dad was a generous and hardworking man who had a lifelong passion for motorbikes. When he wasn’t at work, he was always found in his shed tinkering about with his beloved classic bikes. What Dad didn’t know about a motorbike wasn’t worth knowing. Growing up there were always people stopping by for his expert help. I had no interest in motorbikes so other than knowing what BSA stands for, I’m no help with your motorbike problems, nappy questions on the other hand I’m your lady! Dad always dreamed of running his own motorbike shop but unfortunately this never happened, so he was delighted in my development of The Nappy Lady.

Dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2014 and underwent aggressive and life changing treatment. He bravely faced each stage and he never gave up hope of a recovery. In 2017 the cancer was back and had spread. After a critical infection he was referred to his local hospice St Raphael’s and was given 48 hours to live. The care St Raphael’s gave him was faultless and for the first time in years his pain was kept under control. Those 48 hours came and went and three weeks later he was discharged. Dad remained under St Raphael’s community care for another six months until he finally lost his battle in early 2018.

Throughout his life Dad loved supporting a variety of charities and arranged fundraising events with his motorbike club.  November 2019 was The Nappy Lady’s 20th Anniversary and to celebrate we worked with Motherease to create our Pop Pop charity print.  £3 from every Pop Pop Bedwetter is donated to St Raphaels Hospice and we are working towards reaching £30,000 fund raising. Current in April 2021 we are just over halfway at £17,000. You can follow our fundraising journey at Just Giving here.

Comes up big
Sunday, 23 May 2021  |

I can’t comment on the effectiveness of these but only on the sizing. Definitely go smaller if you are unsure. The size small was far too big for my slim 3yo. I just couldn’t believe that at that age she would be xs in anything and was borderline between the two weight categories. As others have said, they are bulky but I wouldn’t say it looked too much more bulky than our normal nighttime nappy. I returned and will try a smaller size

These are designed for post potty training so most babies won't need them before age 3.

Great for autonomy, bit less secure on, and need bigger PJs
Wednesday, 19 May 2021  |

For my slender just 3 year old who's not dry at night yet, the colour rainbow print was a big hit, and he really likes that he can pop to the potty and pull them down himself. However, they're definitely puffier than the Toddlease or Bamboozle size 3 + XL wrap alternatives - no chance of getting away with slender fit M&S PJs or any of his old age 2-3 stuff. They're a little looser on him too - but no leaks so far. Keeping in the stash as and option for him, but found myself buying a couple of extra nappies (as above) instead of more of these...

Excellent solution for older children
Sunday, 2 May 2021  |

I have a nearly five year old who infrequently wets at night. These allow her to pull the nappy up and down for night-time/first thing in the morning wees so she feels in control. The patterns and design are like regular pants, so she doesn't feel babyish. I love the absorbency (older kids, bigger wees) and the softness of the lining. The one thing to bear in mind is that the extra layers are sewn in and do take a long time to dry, so have enough for your needs if you don't own/want to to tumble dry.

A useful night time nappy

A very bulky nappy as others have described. Looks nice but when my daughter wesrs it she doesnt bother with trousers due to its size. Keeps her dry if she does do a wee in the night. Shes 4 and so is often dry but sometimes still wets. She doesn't find it as comfortable as the disposables but is happy to wear it now and again.

Trust Mother Ease
Wednesday, 31 March 2021  |

These work. I initially baulked at the cost of these and was put off by how huge they are, but after trying two other night pant options that didn’t work, we’ve had no leaks with these. I should have known and trusted Mother Ease in the first place.

The small comfortably fits my 17kilo 3.5year old and I expect he won’t grow out of them before he no longer needs them. He likes the balloons and dinosaurs on them and says they’re comfy. They take a long time to dry but we have three in rotation which seems to work.

They absorb brilliantly, but room for improvement
Friday, 19 March 2021  |

In the immortal words of Regina George, these are the ugliest effing nappies I have ever seen. Absolutely enormous, hideous prints (didn't want to get plain white as our regular cloth nappies are plain white), take nine million years to dry...

However... they work. Our nearly-three-year-old is a champion pee-er at naptime (mainly because 60% of his daily fluid intake happens directly before it) and oh boy, these nappies can hold it. Astounding. I have such confidence in them that we might even use them at nighttime, and I truly never thought I'd use cloth at night!

We ordered XS and S to try on and XS fits him. He says they are very comfortable (and likes the barfalicious unicorn print he chose) and they certainly seem very soft to him. It's not like he's walking around in them anyway, and he can just about push them down by himself. However, I have found that you do need to be careful about tucking all the fluffy absorbent layers inside so I wouldn't trust him to pull them up properly.

I dearly wish that the manufacturer would do these in just some plain colours. They also have two layers of absorbent material: one which is attached to the outside all the way round, and one which is attached just at the front and back. I wish they would unravel a bit more for drying, like our Totsbots all in ones. I am thinking of unpicking one end of the inner layer and putting poppers on it so it's easier to hang and dries quicker.

These are super duper expensive. Given that we are using Aldi disposables before, I reckon we'll just about break even on them (as I expect to be using them for a while). However, we plan to use them for our second (and any subsequent!) child too, so cost-wise it should work out in the long run. People are selling these second hand for almost as much as they cost new.

Excellent nappy
Sunday, 7 March 2021  |

Having used cloth nappies until my boy turned three i was so disappointed to think he may have to continue with overnight disposables. A friend suggested these. They are fantastic. He isn’t showing any signs yet of holding it overnight and there was no leaking. Expensive initially but I would imagine I will save a lot of money in the long run.

Perfect for bedtime
Tuesday, 2 March 2021  |

My two year old is potty trained during the day but still quite wet at night tho he started requesting to use the toilet after his night time nappy had been put on. This was becoming a faff to take on and off as it was a two part system. I needed an alternative that pulled up and down easily but was still absorbant enough for over night. Bedwetters have been amazing and we haven't had a single leak!

A fuss-free nighttime nappy
Monday, 30 November 2020  |

Even though these are sold as toddler nighttime training pants, I have found them to be an excellent option for a nighttime nappy! They are super absorbent and so easy to put on. I love them as it means I can still cloth my daughter at night but without the hassle of trying to put a night nappy and wrap on her. It works out a similar price too when you factor in how much you would pay for a fitted nappy and wrap! I bought the XS for my 13 month old (who is 75th centile) and it fits perfectly. No leaks and that was after only one pre-wash, absolutely amazing! The only thing I would caution for is checking the nappy in the morning and being careful when pulling it down if there are any deposits, otherwise you might get a shock and a baby that has pooey legs!! But otherwise, would highly recommend these nappies, will be purchasing more as soon as I can!

Using this on our asd 5 year old who produces a huge amount of pee at night. After washing a couple of times as suggested the absorbancy is brilliant, one of the only things like this I've tried that doesn't leak.
My only issue with it is the seams rub on his hips and under his legs so trying to solve that currently with some fleece under it.

Toddler night pants
Thursday, 23 July 2020  |

I’d read a lot about these and had been waiting for stock to come in, worth the wait! I measured my daughter and ordered according to the measurements, when I first tried on the small (she’s 3, average build and quite tall) they seemed huge but as I had a pair of used pants in small which did fit I figured they must shrink a bit when washed. After 3-4 washes to prep them the fit is good. We have had no leaks even though they aren’t tight. She can pull them up and down if she wants to use the potty in the night although when they are full of wee come morning they are a bit more of a challenge! Wash and tumble-dry easily, highly rate these

I bought these for my 7 year old after hoping for years she would become dry at night. She is slim and tall and these fit her well. She loves the dinosaur design. They absorb very well but of course the thickness of the liner and the absorption level mean cleaning and drying them to use again takes a long time, as expected.
These are perfect for my needs and I would definitely buy again and recommend.

Use these on my 15 month old boy who apparently pees like a racehorse, he has out-peed everything else we've put him including double boosted Sandy's. Pretty good.
Thursday, 9 May 2019  |

These catch most of what they need to catch. The PJs do seem a bit damp near the nappy seams, so I'm needing to wash those daily, but the bedding is OK. They fit pretty nicely but broader elastic might be more comfortable. They definitely need soaking before washing to ensure the thick layers of fabric get properly clean. But reported to feel nicer than a disposable night time pull-up.

Bedtime Nappy
Saturday, 4 May 2019  |

These are brilliant and do exactly what I need them to do. The fact they look ridiculous (imagine a balloon around your child's bottom!) is irrelevant because they're only for bed time anyway so it doesn't matter. My 5 year old has never been dry day or night and I was hoping to get a bit of daytime wear out of these too, but no chance of that because of their sheer size! However, they are really comfy for him overnight and we've not had a leak yet. I bought size small and they fit well with plenty of growing room. One downside is they take ages to dry.

Good for our 4 year old
Friday, 3 May 2019  |

As my son is not yet dry in a night, I looked for a cloth alternative and found bedwetter pants. I let my son choose the design, and he chose the very colourful ‘rainbow’ design (prism).
The fit appears to be about right as they are quite snug in my son who is at the upper end of the recommended weight range for the size we got and has quite a small waist.
The pants contain really well and we’ve had no leaks at all.
They are bulky pants and make my son look like he’s got a big cloth bum, which may put some children off.
I bought two pairs and wash every day as the pants take a while to dry. I turn them inside out for quicker drying.
Overall, they are great, but would be better if they were a lot slimmer in fit.

Pros:
-They have great absorbancy.
-My son loved the dinosaur design.

Cons:
-They are a bulky fit and my son would have preferred a slimmer fit - but he is ok with them now. Perhaps a slimmer fit with the option for an insert would be better?

Great night nappy for my chunky toddler
Saturday, 1 December 2018  |

Purchased these for my both chunky and tall 2.5 year old who’s only just making the transition to cloth at night as he’s dry during the day. We’ve used a couple of times now and he thinks his ‘sumo pants’ (?!) are great. They’re super bulky compared to a disposable pull up but that hasn’t deterred him, and the fact that he can pull them up like pants has made the trasition seamless. The fit is true to size for us (he’s roughly 18kg and in a size small) and we’ve had no issues with containment or leaking so far (I’d estimate he’s a relatively heavy wetter at night). Pricey but well worth it, we’d certainly look at getting another pair!

An absorbent pull up
Wednesday, 26 September 2018  |

It’s rare to find a pull up cloth nappy that’s absorbent enough to deal with a toddlers full night time wee. This nappy is, however we’ve found that you need to be really careful to make sure that there isn’t any of the absorbent material sticking out the sides. This is pretty tricky when your toddler pulls them up and down when using the toilet. I’d also have preferred it if it had a fleece lining as adding an additional one isn’t really feasible if you’re expecting to pull it up and down. The small was a good fit in our 3 year boy.

Brilliant for bedtime wetters who are out of day nappies
Monday, 13 August 2018  |

My 2.5 year old has been nappy free for 8 months through the day, but sometimes they still pee at night despite a pre bed pee & dream pee when I go to bed. They tend to pee a large volume, other brands such as grovia pull ups (had to buy the 3-5yr extender plus side tabs) & close xl night (way too small) leaked despite boosting and she was not able to pull these up and down herself for the pre-bedtime pee and I also struggled at the dream pee!
Hurray for mother ease bedwetters, they fit well, super soft, very absobent & easy to pull up and down allowing us to switch from cloth night nappies to cloth pull ups. No additional booster needed and she can feel herself when wet so wakes up. Love the new prints, a few more gender neutral ones would be great! You only really need 2 pairs and they sell on well so a great investment, initial cost may seem alot but they are worth it if you need that extra night protection that they can pull up thenselves without lots of bedding changes. #clothrocks

These nappies looked very bulky, but good quality. HOwever I used them only one night as the morning afterwards my child's legs were very badly marked by the elastics. I had bought the S size for my daughter who is 18kgs, but her legs were apparently too squeezed by the elastics. She is a bit chubby but not fat at all. Absorbency was very satisfying. Excellent for toddler!
Monday, 6 November 2017  |

Perfect for my three year old who mostly goes dry all night now but on occasions she still has an accident. Holds a LOT, so no leaks at all if she does wet in the night. She’s quite petite so the smallest size is perfect for her (she’s about 26lbs). She doesn’t like nappies on at all now but I can sneak this one on her once she’s asleep and she will only take it off if she is wet so it must feel comfortable then.
It’s quite costly but definitely worth the money as you can buy one or two if you have an occasional bed wetter. It does take some time to dry though even if you tumble dry, so I will be purchasing a second one shortly.

We bought these pants for our tall, slim 5.5 year old who has long been dry by day but needs some extra help at night. The pants hold a full wee with no leaks and have given him more confidence to get up and use the toilet than when we were using disposables at night.

Effective but not pretty...
Monday, 15 August 2016  |

These did the job, we had no leaks, but they are quite simply huge! My little boy is very slightly built, I imagine that these would be much better for a larger or chunkier child as he said the were "uncomfortable" and "too huge" especially when he tried to get up to walk to the loo/potty. He also found them far to hot to wear during the summer. If we still need them we might try again in the winter when he's grown a bit and it's cooler, though I imagine it would be difficult to find pyjamas to fit over the top.

Quality nappies, great service

First of all, these bedwetter pants really work. My son is 5 and a half, and used to wet himself almost every night. We had many leaks with disposables and much laundry! Ever since we have the sturdily made bedwetter pants, there are no more leaks and my son is a lot drier at night. He still wets himself about every other night but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The service provided by the nappy lady is excellent. A quick phone call ensured we ordered the right size and our three pants arrived very quickly. A big 'recommend' from two hardworking parents who were tired of stinky, plasticky disposable nappies every morning!

Have used these pants for a while at night after my son grew out of little lamb size 3s. I absolutely love them, he's a really heavy wetter and they absorb really well and never leak! Have 5 in circulation washing every 2-3 days but think may need more because they take 4-6 days to dry!
