The Bumgenius Stay Dry Liners can be used over the top of any nappy to help pull wetness away from baby's bottom. The super soft microfleece will help keep baby comfy.

Bumgenius Stay Dry Liners are made of white fleece with white stitching.

Being quite large, it covers the whole nappy area, and so poo is far less likely to even hit the nappy in the first place (with paper liners, they can tend to move out of the firing line once baby is old enough to wriggle).

Being quite thick, no staining goes through to the nappy once your baby is weaned.  This means that if your child poos in a fresh nappy, you can just replace the fleece. You couldn’t really do this with a flushable liner.  Also, this protects the nappy somewhat from the curry stains a pre-weaning breastfed baby is so fond of producing.

Being 100% polyester, the liner is completely non-absorbent, and so provides an effective stay-dry layer. Not essential by any means, but parents seem to like it, and it is certainly nice to keep a very wet night nappy at bay.  It also cleans easily and dries immediately.

Once you have bought them, there are no ongoing liner costs or the hassle of making sure you don’t run out.  Poo drops off a fleece liner very easily into the toilet for the most part.  Even relatively squidgy ones will usually drop off if you turn the liner over into an upside down rainbow shape and wiggle your hands a bit.  If the worst comes to the worst, “picking” at one end of the poo with a piece of toilet paper is usually enough to start it peeling itself off (how much detail do you really want on “poo management”?!).  Actually, the easiest thing to do is just to drop the fleece into the loo and leave it for a few minutes.  When you lift it out, most of the poo will have come off anyway - the only risk is, you might forget it’s there and flush it away.

Stay dry nappy liners...lovely!

Really lovely and soft on my baby's bottom. They rinse really well after being soiled, then wash with nappies. So pleased with them, having used disposable for 3 months. Wish I'd got these sooner!

Super liner

I find these stay in place better than disposable ones and wash fine. Had them for a few months now and no staining yet. Disposable ones seem to scrunch up in the middle of the nappy and get tangled up around my son's bits. They don't really catch much but these Bumgenius ones are much better.

Useful and wffective

The stay dry liners have been really useful as the do keep my boys bottom more dry which was an issue when I started using reusables. I also love that I can rinse them easily to clean them off, and they don't stick to him like paper liners can.

Baby's bottom much happier!

I haven't tried any other fleece liners for comparison but I have been really pleased with these. We bought them as little one's bottom was getting sore and they've really helped keep it drier and happier!

The liners are great value for money. They take moisture away from baby really well. Only downside is they lose some of their softness after a number of washes and you can't use fabric softener it your was with real nappies.

Great liners, very soft.
Tuesday, 29 December 2015  |

Lovely, soft liners which dry very fast. My only complaint is that they are a little bit smaller than other fleece liners & have a label on one end which obviously isn't very comfy if it's against baby's skin. Obviously I can cut these out but you never quite get rid of it all!

Absolute genius

We started off using paper liners, based on what we'd read and rattled through a roll within a few weeks even re-using some of them :o - we had purchased the fleece liners with the intention of moving to them after the first few week but in hindsight should have used them from the off - they provide a much better surface for anything baby can generate and containment was much improved over the slippery paper liners which inevitably moved around or crinkled up. After using them for a few weeks we bought another pack to match the wash cycle with the other bits and pieces - they have paid for themselves several times over compared to paper liners. They wash and dry easily and and any stains will bleach out in the sun. As noted by others when it comes to solids these really come into their own as any deposits can just be chucked into the loo and then the liner washed as normal Best value purchase out of the entire kit!

These are a good size for the totsbots and BumGenius nappies and my baby's skin is always perfectly dry.
The label on these is annoying though and I have to always make sure I tuck it under or it scratches his skin.

Keep bums dry but a bit icky for poo
Wednesday, 1 July 2015  |

These are well made, and work very well to keep bums dry when it's just wee in the nappy. However, because they are stretchy fleece material they are very difficult to manage when your child does a poo. The poo sticks to the liner, so you need to use 2 hands on the liner over the loo to stretch and pull till the poo (mostly) falls off. In that time, my son has rolled off the dirty nappy, soiled the mat underneath as a result, stood up, got poo from his bum onto his vest, and started to walk across the room! I guess they're not the best for use with energetic mobile toddlers. The disposable liners I used before were excellent for dropping the poo quickly into the toilet in one piece, so I will continue searching for a reusable version that works as well as the disposable ones. These liners do stain a bit, maybe because the poo is hard to clean off, although I'm told hanging them in the sun should bleach them white again.

Not big enough
Tuesday, 19 May 2015  |

I'd intended to buy some more of the rectangular Junior Joy liners, which I get on really well with, but they were out of stock. I use Bumgenius Elementals so thought these would be perfect, only they don't cover as much of the nappy. They also have a scratchy label that's a pain to try to tuck in away from baby's skin every time. The stictching around the edge is a nice touch but possibly unnecessary, and a few of the liners haven't been finished properly so there are tickly loose threads hanging off. One's bad enough for me to have to stitch it in to avoid it irritating my baby. It's not all negative though as they're nice and soft and do wick the wee away while keeping most of the poo off the nappy itself, those bits that it covers, at least.

Does what it says

Helps my baby feel dryer for longer and feels soft against his skin even after washing in hard water. Some of the nappies I have feel a little rougher after washing so I love having this as a barrier between him and the nappy. They also stay in place unlike the disposable liners.

Nice and soft, virtually dry when they come out of the washing machine so can nearly be used immediately. Fit the BG elementals very well (unsurprisingly given they are made by the same company I suppose!).

Really happy with switch from paper to these fleece liners. Still sometimes use the paper ones if expecting poos as good to throw away though happier that fleece keeps baby dry.

Poo easily drops off these liners- except a teething, runny poo. My baby's Bum is always dry and comfortable with these. I have had to cut the labels out as they have stained and can be itchy/ annoying on the skin.

Work well but could be bigger
Monday, 8 September 2014  |

These are fairly good value for money and work well at keeping wetness away from baby's skin but I'd prefer them to be a bit bigger so they cover more of the nappy - I use them in elementals but unless you position them exactly right it can still leave the cotton layers exposed thus getting baby wet.
