Bright Bots muslins come in packs of 6 in fabulous bright unisex colours. No need for standard plain white ones have some amazingly cheerful colours to brighten up your day.
Muslins are used so regularly as mop up cloths and burp cloths these days (for which they are excellent), people forget that they used to be known as "muslin nappies".
Bright Bots muslins are 70cm and great value for general use or for nappies only in the first few weeks. Muslins have a surprising degree of absorbency and are also extremely slim line. That';s why we often recommend them in either the Jo fold or pad folded as a newborn nappy. You can even fasten them with Nappi Nippas, for better containment. View the video above to see the Jo fold.
Muslins also go well into pouched "pocket" wraps for a fast drying nappy. For an older child, of course, the lower absorbency means more frequent changing than some other nappies, but the speed of drying or the convenience of the pouched wrap for daycare etc may well be a determining factor.
If you layer two muslins together before folding in a traditional terry shape, you actually have absorbency comparable to most birth to toddler nappies, but are still quite compact. Again, both the drying speed and the cheapness of this option are attractive.
In recent years the general quality of muslins on the high street has really fallen in line with the astronomical rise in the price of cotton. Muslinz are a new brand which is lovely thickness and also at a very reasonable price, I am very pleased to have found these!
