Bambinex Bamboo nappies are very soft and super absorbent.   Bambinex bamboo nappies have elastic at the waist and legs to give a great fit and excellent containment.  They are a very generous length nappy so especially good for tall children.  They also cover a slightly larger weight range than other brands which helps for the chunkier baby.

They come in two sizes.
size 1 8lbs to 20lbs
size 2 20lbs to 44lbs

Each nappy comes with a booster that pops inside. You detach and remove the booster while baby is at the lower weight range of the nappy and add it back in as they get older and wet more.  Bambinex Bamboo is also suitable for night times when used with additional high absorbency boosters such as the little weeds or basic boosters.

You also need to use a wrap over this nappy. Bambinex make their own economical birth to potty wraps or if your budget can stretch to them the Motherease Rikki or Airflow are our favourite and excellent choice.

Fabulous

These nappies are super absorbent, they last our 8month old a good 7/8 hours and I'm sure they'd go longer if needed. They are really soft and well fitting, I like the velcro, makes it easier to get a good fit on a baby with really chunky legs. They seem to take 24 hours to dry inside, I have 6 so haven't needed to try to dry them quicker.

Useful night nappies, but otherwise disappointing
Saturday, 27 July 2019  |

There are things I like and dislike about these nappies.

Good points:
1) They are both absorbent and slender, which means that you can add extra padding for an effective night nappy without making them too bulky
2) The poppers which make them adjustable by height, meaning you get a better fit height-wise
3) The removable booster that comes with the nappy helps it to dry quicker. This still isn't a quick drying nappy, but they do pretty well considering they are bamboo (they actually dry faster than my Motherease Sandys cotton nappy).

Things I dislike about these nappies:
1) The quality of the velcro makes the laundry tabs ineffective. The material that the velcro hooks attach to bobbled fairly quickly, meaning it doesn't matter how many times I extract fluff from the velcro hooks, they still don't stay attached in the wash. It could be that I've done something wrong in terms of washing to make the material bobble, but whatever it is has not affected the velcro on my Little Lamb nappies, which are performing very well.
2) The elastic doesn't seem 'clingy' enough. My daughter has quite slender legs that just don't seem to fill out the nappy. As the elastic does not cling to her legs, this means they leak far more often than my other shaped nappies. This might not be an issue if she were a chunkier baby, but I couldn't say for sure. They are still fine as a night-time nappy since my daughter reached the stage where she no longer poos at night, but as a daytime nappy they are disappointing.

Very happy with these
Wednesday, 24 July 2019  |

Bought these after they were recommended to me by the nappy lady for my very tall and pretty chunky baby. Started using at 4 months, before he'd reached the weight minimum, but they already fitted well (size 2).
I haven't had a single leak of wee or poo since we started using them, which compares very favourably to both disposables and other types of reusable nappy. I think I have heavy wetters as no other nappies have held the wee - these even work overnight which I'm delighted about! I wish I'd used them with my older children.

Good nappy, not so good velcro
Thursday, 11 July 2019  |

I consider the nappy a very good one. Containment is excellent. They take long to dry (normal in bamboo nappies) but what I've found disappointing is the velcro, bambinex should try to improve it, because apart from this the nappy is an excellent one.

This is the best night time nappy ever! Have never had a leak with this. Super soft and wonderful fit. Very slim fitting too. Doesn’t take forever to dry. Love them

Good nappy but disappointing velcro
Tuesday, 4 June 2019  |

Good value, slim fitting, absorbent nappy. Good size with room to grow for chunky little ones. However the laundry tabs are hopeless and just come undone which is damaging the Velcro so I wouldn’t buy again for that reason alone. Frustrating as other than the Velcro these are excellent nappies.

Great nappies
Tuesday, 4 June 2019  |

These are a great fit on my chubby baby with plenty of growing room. They are also slim fitting too. The Velcro is not too near to the edge like I have found it to be with some other nappies. Very pleased with these, they were a recommendation from the nappy lady based on the questionnaire. Would have given 5 stars but the laundry tabs are not great and come undone easily.

These are a lovely slim fit for the day, but with the pop in, last a full night. I absolutely love the design and fit of these nappies and wish I'd used them sooner.

Brilliant night nappy

Super super slim compared to other nappies that can be a night nappy. Use it with motherease airflow and LG is yet to wet the whole nappy is so absorbent. Don't know why there isn't more hype, especially with the price. Also it really is super long on biggest extension but great it can be smaller

Excellent for a chunky baby
Friday, 12 April 2019  |

I was recommended these by the Nappy Lady's questionnaire (my daughter is 99th centile for weight and height and containment was a big deal for me). We use under a Motherease wrap.

These last very well (haven't tried overnight yet), and we've never had a leak. They proved their awesomeness to my husband on a particular day when the baby started in a disposable - hadn't go my full stash then - and managed a proper outfit-ruining poo that went everywhere. Later that day, she produced another horror show that my husband changed, but because she was in the reusable at this point, all was perfectly contained. Husband now totally on board resuable nappies!

These work very like the Totsbots stretchy ones, but are bigger, so great for enormous babies like mine. We went straight to the size 2 at 3.5months when she was about 18lbs, and we still didn't need the smallest setting. Downside is that they take a while to dry, so you need quite a few but I am happy to do this. as they work so well.

The service from the Nappy Lady was also excellent - have been recommending to my friends.

Great nappy but don't last 😔
Wednesday, 10 April 2019  |

I'm gutted with these! They are the best nappy for fit and absorbency but the quality is just so rubbish that they're not even going to last my son until potty training, let alone for use by baby number 2.

Ive had these for just one year, washed as per instructions and only rarely put in drier on low. The velcro went within weeks and all the binding along the edges has disintegrated to shreds. A real shame as they are great in terms of performance.

We're happy with these nappies for the nights, and haven't had any problems with leaking. They are quite a big step up from the number 1 night nappies but it's not a problem as they are adjustable.

Working well for a big baby!
Monday, 5 November 2018  |

Started in these as first cloth nappies at 5months after NL questionnaire recommended them, they're working really well for us. Used with Motherease Airflow wraps and disposable liners, they've been washing well at 40 degrees. They fit comfortably and haven't leaked up the back like disposables did, we've had a small leak at the leg hole but absolutely tiny compared to disposables (didn't even change clothes as the wrap caught what escaped.)

I’m not such a huge fan of these. I bought some of these plus the wizard duo system and much prefer the others, which are slimmer and also seem more absorbent. These also take ages to dry.

So soft
Monday, 30 July 2018  |

I have been using this nappy in rotation with a couple of others as a night nappy for nearly 6 months now. It is still really soft and easy to fit. I boost with double bamboo inserts as it is needed to last 12 hours, but always does no problem with a mother ease airflow. My son is 2.25 and 87cm tall, yet he is still on the second setting. I am reassured that this still has room to grow, and will be purchasing some more. There is also lots of scope for the width as the tabs still meet in the middle. The fabric is pretty stretchy. The only negative is that one of the velcro patches started to come a little loose after only a few uses, but I think this is just one that snuck through quality control! It was easy to sew back on.

Very absorbent!
Tuesday, 19 June 2018  |

Love the size 2 version of this nappy as it's great with a chunky baby. Even without the booster it is so absorbent. I use it with a motherease airflow and it makes a fab nappy combination when you need something reliable.
I would love a popper option though as the velcro tabs are becoming less 'sticky.

I didn't get on with totsbots stretchies so gave these a try. The fit was really good on my boy and they contain poo really well! No leaks at all with the motherease rikki/airflow wrap on top.
Only 4 stars because they take FOREVER to dry on an agree or even oon the washing line and secondly whoever decided to put the rubber logo label in front of the laundry tab needs a good talking to! As a result it's tricky to keep the Velcro stuck down in the wash.

Brilliant value and quality
Sunday, 29 April 2018  |

I've just purchased my 3rd bundle of 5 of the size 2 of these nappies to replace size 2 bamboozles and other btp nappies that my son has outgrown. They are very similar to the bamboozle with a pop in booster and stretch fabric but are a much more economical option without, in my opinion, any significant reduction in quality. The rise in the size 2 nappies is the same length as a size 3 bamboozle but they are trimmer making them really good for the day. We use blueberry coveralls and motherease airflow wraps with them and have never had a leak.

Great for newbies
Monday, 18 December 2017  |

I am new to cloth nappies and bought these following a recommendation from the nappy lady. I have been really pleased with them after making the leap from disposables with my 6 week old, their containment is excellent, and we have had no 'explosions' even with runny breastfed poop! They do take longer to dry than the fluffy teddy nappies, but I use a tumble dryer and feel it is worth it for the extra absorbancy and the slimmer fit under clothes for during the day. I do use additional inserts (bamboo or hemp).
The only drawback to these is that the placement of the thick rubber 'bambinex' tag under one side of the velcro fastener means that it is more likely to come undone in the wash and get stuck to things - a thinner fabric tag would be better.

Better to spend more on tots bots bamboozle
Monday, 18 December 2017  |

I really liked these nappies (size 1) when we first started using them, when my son was only 8lb. Great fit, great absorbency. But my son is only 15lb and I can no longer do them up, so they have been very poor value for money. He is quite tall, but I bought them because they were meant to be good for tall babies and the nappy lady correctly predicted he would be tall! If the Velcro didn't have so much material round the edge and was more like the tots bots design they might have still managed it.
All in all I just wish I had bought some tots bots bamboozle with the money as I would have got a lot more use out of them. But you don't know until you try these things. And 5 for £40 seemed like a very good price.

Fave night nappy
Friday, 20 October 2017  |

I love these nappies- they are the most streamlined night nappies in my collection of bumble and totsbots. Use them with a motherease stay dry booster next to the skin and the airflow wrap.
They fit my tall child well. Only issue is drying time, 1 day on radiator and aprox 2 days air drying. That is to be expected from a bamboo nappy though.

Too snug for our baby
Thursday, 24 August 2017  |

My son is on the larger side (around 3 months) and I found the smaller size to be too small even with him in the weight range. I think they could be wonderful and are well made but I didn't think they worked for his baby shape

Good absorbency but they do take a long time to dry, even on the line in full sun for the day, they still need a bit of airing once inside. But otherwise, a good fit and not too bulky.

Good nappy but shame about the velcro
Monday, 22 May 2017  |

I like the fit of this nappy and how slim it is however the velcro tabs are awful. After just a handful of wears and washes the velcro has curled and lost a lot of its stick. I fold the tabs carefully whenever I wash them but often the come undone in the wash so I end up with the nappys all stuck to things. Sometimes when I take the wrap off the nappy has come undone beneath the wrap. We use other velcro nappies- tots bots and little lambs which don't have this issue. Other than the velcro issue these are a good fit for us, we have never had any leaks though I imagine that is largely thanks to the Motherease wrap which keeps them on! The fit seems slightly more generous than the other nappies we use so providing the velcro lasts I imagine we will get a slightly longer use out of these.

Can't comment on product quality
Thursday, 18 May 2017  |

I bought one of these to try after filling out the questionnaire and was recommended to give these a go. Despite my daughter being within the weight range for size 1, it seems to run small...at least for the chunky, tall baby. So, it was useless for us. I'd try a size 2 at some point as the material felt nice and absorbent but for now we'll stick with our Stretchies.

Poor containment
Monday, 8 May 2017  |

Why did Bambinex have to go and redesign their Bamboo nappy? I have three children, all of whom have been in reusable nappies, and we have never had a problem until now. The original Bambinex Bamboo was perfect. But with the new design, and despite using a booster pad/fleece liner along with a disposable liner and wrap too ( all at great expense), the containment is absolutely terrible. The tip of the iceberg was when, in a restaurant, the poo in my child's nappy spilled out onto the highchair. Constantly having my hands covered in poo whilst trying to sleuth the soiled nappy in the loo is no fun. Really unimpressed.

Fantastic nighttime nappy
Monday, 17 April 2017  |

I was having trouble getting a nighttime nappy for my 10 month old baby who is on the bigger side. The Nappy Lady recommended these for a tall, heavy wetter and it has worked out perfectly when combined with a booster. We have had no leaks and a very comfortable baby. Thank you!

My son is 18 months and was wetting through his other nappies regularly despite boosters and getting poo come through as his bumgenius nappies just seemed to be getting too small. No leaks with these so far and a much better fit for his height. Just gave 4 stars instead of 5 as the laundry tabs often don't stay stuck down easily, so they keep catching
