Nappy Overview

Petit Lulu Snap in One (SIO) Complete is an "all in" nappy system. Buying the "Complete" sets on this page saves you money compared to buying the components individually.

Petit Lulu SIO Complete = Petit Lulu Classic Cover + Petit Lulu Classic Insert Set.

The outer cover is made of PUL which means it is waterproof but also breathable. Unlike other wraps we stock Petit Lulu covers come with a fleece hem/binding. The fleece binding is really soft against the skin so no marks on baby and is a great insulator so limiting leaks. These wraps are popular with families with very sensitive skin who want the softest of nappy bindings.

The outer fastens with poppers. The poppers are underlaid by suedecloth and second PUL layer which makes the product long lasting and gives you better performance.

Sizing

Fits 5-16kgs (10-35lbs).

The nappy gives you 3 length settings: Small, Medium and Large. The length is altered using the poppers on the front of the nappy.

The waist is altered using the double row of poppers along the top. This is my favourite popper fastening positioning as it holds the nappy firmly in place and minimises wing droop.

How do I use it?

The Petit Lulu SIO is highly adjustable with poppers at the waist and poppers to adjust the length. This gives you small, medium and full length settings so that the nappy gets longer as baby gets taller.

Each set comprises of a waterproof outer cover and a popper in absorbent bamboo basic start insert. The insert poppers into the outer waterproof cover to keep it secure and prevents it moving around. At change time you simply unpopper the soiled insert and pop a fresh one inside. We recommend changing the outer waterproof wrap after two nappy changes to ensure the outer wrap is kept clean and fresh. This means you will need half the waterproof outers to how many inserts you have eg 10 covers and 20 inserts. This all in two snap in system makes for a more economical nappy system compared to all in ones.

Due to the bamboo content of the booster they are fairly slow drying but laying them flat will help speed up drying.

Petit Lulu Care Guide

Prewash nappy twice before first use. It can take 6-10 washes to reach full absorbency
Dry pail do not soak nappies or covers
Wash every 2-3 days
Do not overload your washing machine or nappies will not get washed sufficiently
Wash with standard baby washing detergent. Not eco-friendly soap as often does not sufficiently wash nappies
No harsh stain removers or bleach.
No fabric softeners. They will reduce absorbency.
Wash no lower than 60 degrees.
Waterproof covers should not be spin-dried at more than 1000RPM
Line dry or tumble dry inserts on cool only if necessary as it will shorten the life of the product
Never tumble dry the waterproof covers
If using a nappy cream always use a nappy liner - ideally a disposable paper liner.

Petit Lulu offer a 24 month warranty from date of purchase not date of first use. Petit Lulu don’t accept claims due to stains, improper care or when simply worn out. Read their washing recommendations carefully as from our experience claims are frequently rejected and at The Nappy Lady we have really had to fight on behalf of our customers but we are not always successful.

Your warranty will be VOID if:

You washed BELOW 60°C
if you use Bleach
If you use Softener
If you use Eco-detergent as they aren't strong enough
If you overload your machine
If you use too much detergent
If covers or waterproof layers are spun greater than 1000rpm
If frequently tumbled dried or tumbled dried on high
If covers/waterproof layers are dried on a direct heat source such as a radiator
If you soaked your nappies
If left for more than 2-3 days before washing

Petit Lulu's decision on any warranty claim is final.

Love this nappy

This was my first petit lulu as I needed some emergency spares as my daughter goes through more nappies now she is in nursery. This one is so beautiful and feels so soft, it seems like it must be really comfy to wear, particularly the edges. It washes really well and does take a while to dry (two days at the moment but should be quicker when I can hang outside again) but no longer than my bamboozles. I’ve promised my husband I won’t buy any more nappies but if I do need any I would happily buy more of these.

Great for night time

Another purchase for prints here! I couldn’t resist the gorgeous colours and I’m not disappointed! The rest of my stash is Bumgenius Elementals and Smartbottoms 3.1, so the fit of this nappy is bulky by comparison, however the absorbency difference is clear.
I managed an overnight in Bumgenius with a hemp booster just about, but this nappy was a brilliant contender. 12hours and a big morning poo all contained.
I’m not too sure about the fit currently, and have a very wiggly (average build, I think) 6 month old, so am finding it difficult to get the correct fit, especially as the waistband is not elasticated, however, once I’ve wrestled my son In, it does look pretty comfy.
The inserts take a good day to dry, I like the fact that you can get extra inserts for this and they popper in to turn it into essentially an AIO.

If you’re drawn to a print, I’d say give it a go, I don’t think you’ll regret it!

Great nappies!

I'll admit, I bought these because they're so pretty! I'm really happy with how they function too though. Great containment and holds plenty of wee even without the booster. The soft fleece cuffs are lovely and they are pretty easy to use with the two snaps to hold the insert in place.

Brilliant for heavy wetters

Quite bulky with both inserts in, however these are the most absorbent nappies we own.
They are the only nappies (other than huge and heavily boosted 2 part systems) which work for my older toddler with kidney issues.
The fleece leg cuffs are lovely and soft, and don’t pinch, and the fit is quite good.
Containment has been fine for us, but they lack a gusset so I’m not sure how they would cope with very lose stools.
They come up quite large, even in the smallest setting.
Great for heavy wetting toddlers.
