Baba and Boo newborn nappies are pocket nappies and are designed to fit from 5-18lbs  This is a weight range generally classed as size 1 rather than the usual newborn size (upto 12lbs) so they are bigger than average.   There’s a pocket/pouch at the back of the waterproof nappy, where you stuff the absorbent inserts. Each nappy come with two bamboo /microfibre mix inserts.   When your baby is small, you will normally only need to use one insert, which should last up to four hours. Once your baby starts to grow you will find the nappy is not lasting as long, it's time to add the second insert.

These are only daytime nappies and for night time you should aim to use a two part system such as BamBam and separate cover.

Cute but terrible quality

This was our favourite and as quick drying we thought wed be buying more B&B nappies. However we are only 5 weeks in and the Velcro is completely useless. We can no longer fasten the nappy and we cared for it as instructed. Really poor quality and Weve now got leaks. Unless I see new fasteners on it is useless and if I see on it probably wont be leak proof.

Would not recommend unfortunately as poor value for money and not got the life required, which is a shame as we loved the ease of putting on and designs.

Very cute

These nappies look and feel gorgeous. They are easy to put on (very much like a disposable) and great for when our and about. We found the boosters they come with need a lot of washes to reach full absorbency but when they do they last a couple of hours. We do tend to stuff the pocket with a LL bamboo trifold instead as this gives us great absorbency with the convenience of the B&B nappy.

Cute...but leaky and poor quality

These look great and dry quickly but beyond that I couldn't recommend them. My biggest issue with them is that the Velcro fastening has already lost it's hold after only a month which makes them pretty useless unless I sew on new fasteners. Might be handy if you just want something in your changing bag that's quick to use on the odd occasion, but definitely don't recommend these for everyday use.

The best nappy for newborns!
Wednesday, 16 October 2019  |

I was really put off buying newborn nappies from most brands as they only went up to 12lb which seemed like a pretty pointless investment. These nappies were absolutely amazing. My baby was only 6.5lb when he was born and these fit from the start! They're so easy to use and the double gusset means that poo containment is second to none. I've used several different brands and I've never had a poo leak from a baba and boo.
They lasted us up until 3.5 months/15lb approx and I was sooo sad when he outgrew them!

The pocket dried really fast, within a day on an airer inside or a couple of hours out on the line in the sun. The inserts were absolutely fine in the tumble drier. Using both inserts tends to make the nappy quite bulky and a bit trickier to fit so I usually used one insert with a folded little lamb bamboo booster at the front. This meant I had double the amount of boosters that I needed and therefore a really quick turnaround and drying time.
Highly recommend! The prints are just the best too.

Love them!

The generous weight limit alone makes this a great newborn nappy.
Add to that the double gusset, fleece lining, x2 bamboo inserts you get, quick drying speed, good resale value and a great choice of patterns.
Youd have to be crazy not to choose this as your go to newborn nappy!
Still using these 11 weeks in and plenty of room to go!
