Good product but pricey

These are really practical pocket nappies. But they don't come with a booster, so that means the cost per nappy is high compared to similar (eg. applecheeks), hence the 4 stars. The adjustment options are good (plenty of snaps). Delivered promptly.

Excellent. At last a reusable nappy that fits my 6 year old. Really pleased with the 2 I bought to test, not buying more.

So relieved thereís finally a nappy on the market thatís big enough for my big three year old
Tuesday, 18 December 2018  |

My three year old is dry in the day but not there yet at night time. Weíve always used reusable nappies but the largest I could find were starting to leave marks on his legs because they were too tight. Even wool wraps were getting uncomfortable for him in the largest size I could find. Our problems are now over with this nappy. It fits him comfortably with plenty of room for terry towels and boosters in the pocket (we use one and a half terry towels and two boosters for my extremely heavy wetter). He can even manage to pull them down to go to the potty when he gets up in the morning, although canít pull them back up again by himself. If I thought he was going to be a lot longer in nappies, Iíd invest in the bamboo terry towels to make them a bit less bulky but theyíre fine as they are and Iím fairly sure heíll only need them for a few more months. Thank you for helping us to complete our nappy journey in cloth.

Great fit, good absorbency

I bought these for my almost four year old who is not dry at night. He no longer fitted in our Bamboozle stretches. These have been amazing - I have used a Terry square folded and a booster to fill them and that has been enough for overnight. We've hardly had any leaks, at least on par with a disposable. I put the inserts in to a full nappy wash, but these covers I just wash on a fast wash (15 min) at 30oC or cooler just to freshen them up. They dry fast, so I only have two and this is enough for use every night. My son doesn't object to having them on and they look pretty comfy. Plenty of growing room for him, we're poppering in the middle and have it one setting down, so he will be able to use them for a few more years if necessary.

big enough!

At last, a night-time nappy that fits my 2-year old comfortably, with room for growth. He has been wearing size 3 stretchies with a little lamb bamboo insert as a booster but the biggest size mother-ease wrap is really struggling to contain it all, leaving him with red marks round his thighs, and he frequently wakes up soaked through to the mattress protector. The Bumgenius Big fits him well, with no gapping and no red marks. We stuff it with a cotton terry and a muslin, to hold the 500ml he usually wees at night. There is a little leakage onto his pyjama bottoms sometimes, but it hasn't yet gone through to the bedding.
And there's room for growth, which is brilliant, as I was beginning to worry what we would do for night-time nappies as he grows.

Great option for larger toddlers. Great absorbancy, fit and comfort. Expensive upfront.
Tuesday, 12 December 2017  |

We have tried a wide variety of nappies for night time over the last year for our large 2 year old. She has been in 3-4 clothing since about 18 months and drinks a lot at night, we were unable to find a night time nappy that fitted and provided enough space for sufficient boosting. We tried pretty much everything before resorting to disposables at night time. I had seen the bumgenius big but at the time they were not available in the UK.

A couple of weeks ago I spotted them here after seeing wendy's video on facebook and thought it was worth a try. I'm really pleased. They are very large, we're using them on the smallest rise and 2nd smallest waist for our (now in 4-5 clothing) 2.5 year old so there is loads of room. They are evidently very comfortable as she is asking for them over the disposables and is sad when they are not clean (we will be buying more!). We are using them stuffed with a hemp babies bigger weeds and a flip night time insert, there is plenty of room for both in the pocket, and it does not make the legs gape.

They are not really suitable for use as a pull up (as I was hoping) as the action of pulling them up causes the rise poppers to undo and it is then difficult to redo and get a good fit. I was worried about how little one would be with this but she is very happy to put them on and tells me how she loves her green nappy so I think comfort is definitely winning.

They are very expensive. Even with the great discount currently offered it is a lot of money for a single nappy, particularly given it is only a shell. However, I do think it is worth it. They are good quality nappies and I am really pleased to be finally ditching the disposables (which will of course save us money monthly). I am confident that there will be a good resale value for them preloved as I know from group discussions that lots of people struggle to find night time solutions for large toddlers so all in all I think the cost will work out in the end.
