We love our bananas!
Friday, 16 September 2016  |

These are a great pocket nappy and we are really happy with them. Currently using them on a 6 week old and the fit is good. He is a slender but tall baby and these have been ideal.

We have started using two pads at night and haven't had a leak.

I also love the patterns and the feel of the outer fabric.
Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic!
Tuesday, 2 August 2016  |

I have used tots bots classic and terry flats, and both were unsuitable for my 14 week old little girl. She got very frustrated with these others as they restricted her movement (she is very wriggly and looked very bulky.
Charlie banana nappies are perfect for her. Allow plenty of movement and look good.
Absorption is fantastic too. The box recommends using both boosters for children over 3 months, but I decided to try using just one (small) and aftet 3 hours there were still no leaks.
Definitely worth the money!

My favorite

Charlie Bananas are my absolute favorite nappies. I keep coming back for more, and now that I'm pregnant and thinking about the nappies needing to last through another kid I decided to get another pack to rotate through the stash. Just cannot be faulted - great for trimness, absorbency and being leak and bomp-proof.

Great nappy
Wednesday, 9 December 2015  |

We have been using Charlie bananas for a couple of years now so it was a no brainer for us to increase our stock for child no.2. Not disappointed (although haven't used any other brands so nothing to compare them to!) they wash well, dry quickly and so far keep our little girl happy. My only comment is their bulk when on, you need to be mindful of the clothes you put on your little one! I have one pair of jeans which don't fit my 7 month old when wearing her Charlie bananas but do fit when in a disposable.

Fab nappies!
Monday, 19 October 2015  |

They're great nappies for my little heavy wetter and very easy to use at the nursery too. However, as most pocket nappies tend to come with microfibre which makes them bulky, I have decided to change the bulkiness by stuffing them with little lamb bamboo inserts and they easily last my little heavy wetter 4 hours with a dry bum still. This costs me more but works even better than my bg elementals which i have to boost to achieve the same level of absorbency. What's more, the fleece lining is super soft and stay soft even after several washes. And no leaks even when my little one had a bad tummy. All in all, fantastic nappies! Couldn't rate them more.

So far so good...
Monday, 22 June 2015  |

Have been using these since birth. They fit well on my skinny baby boy & minimal leaks so far (6 weeks in). We have just moved up to the larger insert and this seems to be more reliable for nap time!

They are more fiddly to stuff than some of the other nappies we own, but the fit is far slimmer.

Frustrating
Monday, 23 March 2015  |

I had trialled Charlie Banana One Size Pocket nappies before deciding to buy these, but then found out that the fit and sizing had been changed and the new version didn't fit my baby as well as the old one. Am persevering and using extra bamboo boosters to increase absorbency, but am getting lots of leaks and find that the elastic leaves deeper marks on legs than I'd like.

nice nappy
Thursday, 23 October 2014  |

really love how soft this nappy feels against skin. dries really quickly and the padded inserts come out fully for easier laundering. slightly baffling button system, and not the best fit out of all the fitted nappies i've tried - has leaked a few times, with and without boosters. i think this nappy will really come into its own when my baby is a bit bigger.

Love these nappies wish I had started using cloth nappies long before great colours and patterns. When using disposable nappies my little girl kept getting really bad nappy rash n since changing to these she has been much happier and no rash my little one also loves picking out what nappy to wear.

v Good bit of a faff
Sunday, 1 June 2014  |

I chose CB because they are quick drying, they are indeed that, as well as nice colors and overall a good nappy - no leaks. however i find the stuffing a bit of a bore, both to take them out when dirty and then put them back together and the inserts seem to be a bit bunchy, I much prefer Bum Genius - which dry just as quick and are a lot more straightforward, smoother and easier to put the nappy liner in. I liked the idea of the CB bra-strap style leg adjuster, however i found it quite tough to alter. Still merits 4 stars as it is a really good nappy, fast drying, colorful and most importantly no explosions!

Leaks every time
Sunday, 27 April 2014  |

These nappies leak every single time I use them, and that's even using Little Lamb boosters with them. The only way I can get around it is by changing every hour at the most, preferably every 30-45 minutes, which is completely unrealistic. I've had to stop using them, and wasted my money buying them. Bumgenius are much better.

Response:

Sorry to hear you've had problems with your Charlie Bananas. It depends on the age of the child but pocket nappies do need boosting for older children. The little lambs boosters are actually quite low absorbency and not the best booster to be boosting them with. Have you tried both Charlie Banana boosters together or with a higher absorbency booster such as little weeds?

Happy babies, happy Mummy
Sunday, 2 March 2014  |

I've been using CBs with my twins since they were 3 months (now 8 months). They girls have very different builds - one is slim with a tiny bum and small legs, the other a lot bigger with chubby legs & bum. The CBs fit both girls really well, are very easy to wash and dry (either overnight on the drying rack, or in the tumble dryer). They are easy to adjust when needed and a lot less bulky having the elastic adjuster. Dad is happy too, as they are just as easy to put on as a disposable. They can leak slightly at the leg, but this is not an issue if changed regularly (we get through 3-4 a day per baby). Still lovely and soft too after heavy use. Now the girls are on solids I like the Miosolo liners, as they fit the nappy better. I've been singing the praises of this nappy to all our friends!

My (current) favorite
Monday, 23 December 2013  |

I have about 6 different types of nappies and at the moment these CB are my favourite. My little one is 7 weeks and I find the CB go more naturally to a small/medium setting than those that use snapps on the front. It may take a little more effort to go from one setting to another with the elastic system, but thats not something you do often so I like it. The CBs also are quite narrow between the legs which my little one likes. I also like the front opening pocket style, but I think I might feel differently if I had a boy.

seeps around legs

Easy to fit & fun designs. Comfy & adjustable. But fleecy inner comes into contact with clothes around legs & causes dampness even after just 1 hour. Can only be washed at 40 degrees. OK for lightweight out-and-about use.

Charlie Banana vs Little lamb
Monday, 30 September 2013  |

I bought Charlie Banana and Little Lamb Onesize (OSFA) V2 at the same time, and I don't see the big difference in the two nappies. Charlie Banana has bigger boosters, but I don't find them more absorbent then the little lamb boosters, and it's easier to but an extra booster in little lambs then in Charlie Bananas as they are so large.
With that being said, I do like the colours of Charlie Banana more and they are a little bit softer.

Fab nappy
Wednesday, 28 August 2013  |

My 3 month old is now in Charlie B's full time in the day and have found them to be great. I wanted fast drying, easy for grandparents and daddy, a good fit and not too bulky as dd has a little bottom and hips. Other nappies (we tried many!) just didn't deliver on fit and some took soooo long to dry which is not ideal with no outside space or tumble dryer. CBs nappy bit dry in about 2 hours on a clothes horse & inserts overnight ( it is summer, but we use a dehumidifier in winter). They are really easy to use (and grandma can't even manage disposables!). The fit is amazing on my dd due to the leg elastic and she is really comfy in them, unlike others. They have fitted her well since we tried them about 4 weeks ago (shes a bit to tiny) but they would have fitted her earlier i think. Added bonus is the colour choice. Only minor niggle is sometimes the elastic moves slightly after a wash but I check it when stuffing. Should also say that Nappy Lady service was excellent as always. CBs are my nappy of choice and haven't used anything else for weeks now.

Fiddly
Saturday, 10 August 2013  |

Good for when out and about as they can be assembled at home and dirty ones can simply be rolled up and taken home without too much mess as they are waterproof on the outside (useful if you forget a plastic bag as I often do!). I find the poppers quite fiddly (compared to Velcro) and often have to redo them at a different setting which is frustrating (although I have heard that Velcro doesn't last as long but I haven't had my nappies for long enough to comment on that). So I don't actually find them any quicker to change than the two-piece, Velcro fastening Teddy nappies that I also have.

Response:

For the poppers always do the lowest hip popper first, then the higher waist popper and then the one in the middle is just popped down to hold the tab in place rather than for fit. That should stop the fiddling around with it. Wendy

Easy nappies
Sunday, 19 May 2013  |

Been using Charlie Bananas for about a year now and still find them so easy to use. The outer nappies are almost dry straight from the washing machine. The inserts are more damp but do dry quickly. They are easy and quick to reassemble and the fit is great - the adjustable leg holes and lots of popper options mean they've fitted my daughter from about 3 months til now - 15 months. And no sign of them becoming too small anytime soon. As clearly advertised, they won't do overnight. But that's been fine for us (and in any case we use most of them then do a big overnight wash). Highly recommended.

Yipeeeee
Wednesday, 15 May 2013  |

At last! A cloth nappy I can feel confident in. The insert stays put because of the fitted pocket shape and you can remove it so easily... No poo on hands (hurrah for front loading). The fleece top is soooo soft and snuggly, is dry to the touch even when the inserts are saturated and cleans up to new in each wash... No scrubbing. The nappies hold loads of liquid, no leaks so far despite lots of leaks in other very well known brands. The fit is great, hangs over a bit on the top of the legs (over thigh) but despite this does
Not bother my little one and...at last... No red marking when the nappy comes off! No reusable has been able to leave my baby without red marking so Yipeeeeee! So soft, so adjustable, simple and easy for the lazy mummy who wants to be more Eco and save some pennies. Could not be more pleased. Won't work for everyone, nothing does, but i am so pleased. Thank you!!

2.5 stars if that was an option
Wednesday, 15 May 2013  |

We went with these nappies as they were the slim design and average absorbency. Within 1.5hrs of wearing my daughter has leaked through them even after being washesd more than 5 times. The nappy lady was helpful in offering advice when I emailed and now I have to use 2 inserts which make the nappies very bulky. They still arent absorbant enough to use when going out for a few hours and on occasions I have to use disposable. I did not know my daughter was such a big wetter!!
