Nappy Overview

Bamboozle Stretch or Stretchies are made from circular knitted bamboo Rayon with a hidden microfibre core. Bamboozle stretch is a soft, absorbent nappy that fits beautifully even on tiny newborns without compromising on performance. Bamboozle stretch has extra stretchiness in comparison to other nappies and fits the upper weight ranges much better.

Sizing

Bamboozle stretchies come in 3 sizes however many people only use the size 2 as a birth to potty system. The size 1 fits from 5lbs to 18lbs and is perfect for even low birth weight babies and twins. Size 1 offers excellent absorbency and containment with minimal bulk. If you're planning on using the nappies on more than one child it is worth considering buying the size 1 as this spreads the wear and your older child will be in the size 2 while the new baby is in the size 1. The size 2 fits from 9-35lbs which is ideal for many full term babies. To make the size 2 into a birth to potty nappy you remove the booster to make it slimmer and use the poppers to reduce the length of the nappy. There is always more compromise on fit with a birth to potty system and the size 2 nappy is bulkier and much wider in the lower weight range but will still work perfectly. Size 3 fits from 35lbs+ and is for the chunky monkey babies.  It is not common to need size 3 and most people never need to consider or budget for using this size.

How do I use it?

Bamboozle Stretch fastens with Aplix (Velcro) and the tabs can be crossed over to fit slimmer babies. One the size 1 there are one row of length adaptor poppers so that the nappy can be shortened for a newborn until they grow and need the full length. On the size 2 nappy there are two rows of length adaptor poppers so you can use it birth to potty. This gives you great flexibility on fit with small, medium and standard length fittings. Size 3 also has 2 rows of poppers and when poppered down into it's smallest setting it's the equivalent of size 2 in it's longest setting.

Nappy Fabric

The knitted bamboo Rayon fabric stays soft longer than the traditional bamboo terry. The nappy is great for babies with sensitive skin and for customers who live in hard water areas. Bamboo and the microfibre core are both antibacterial fabrics.

Bamboo generally takes a long time to dry but with the super fast drying microfibre core, this nappy dries on an airer in approx 18 hours in a warm environment. It can also be tumble dried but this must be on low/cool. The nappy comes with a detachable bamboo booster to speed drying. The booster can also be removed to make the nappy slimmer while in the smaller length settings.

As with all Tots Bots nappies wash at 40/60degrees, cool tumble only, no bleach, sodium bicarb, vinegar or harsh stain removers should be used. More information can be found on the washing of all cloth nappies in our Nappy Advice section - using and washing cloth nappies.

What else do I need?

Bamboozle Stretchies are also suitable for night time but will need additional boosters. Mother-ease staydry boosters, Ellas house bum boosters or Bamboozle Pads are perfect. You will also need to use a liner either paper or fleece inside the nappy and an outer waterproof wrap over the top.

Tots Bots Care Guide

  • Prewash nappy twice before first use. Nappy will reach full absorency after approximately 10 washes.
  • Wash dark colours separately
  • Wash with non-bio powder or TotsBots Potion
  • No harsh stain removers or bleach. They may cause irritation and can damage the waterproof membrane
  • Don't use pastes of nappy powder directly applied to nappies as this is too concentrated.
  • No fabric softeners. They will reduce absorbency.
  • Max wash temperature 60 degrees.
  • Ideally line dry or tumble dry on cool.
  • If using a nappy cream always use a nappy liner - ideally a disposable paper liner.

Full Tots Bots Washing Instructions can be found on the manufactures website here.

If you believe you have an item with a manufacturing fault, you will need to contact us with details and photos of the fault. We will confirm your purchase date from our records. TotsBots may require the items to be inspected before a warranty decision is made, we will inform you if this is required in your case.  TotsBots warranty decision is final.

Tots Bots Warranty is VOID when:

  • Using harsh stain removers, biological detergents or bleaching
  • Boil washing
  • Continually tumble drying on a warm or hot heat, or directly on radiators or similar
  • Adding vinegar or sodium bicarbonate to the wash

Excessive laundering can destroy elastic, destroy the water repellency, make the fabric go bald, reduce the performance of your nappies, drastically reduce the lifespan and will render your guarantee void.

The use of Tots Bots Potion detergent is recommended but not required for warranty coverage.

Highly absorbent, but slow drying
Monday, 15 November 2021  |

We are really pleased with the effectiveness of these nappies, but starting using them in November, in a cold house we've just moved to and haven't got around to putting up a washing line, means they are very slow drying. Our daughter already usually sleeps through the night, and still feels fairly dry in the morning, despite sometimes sleeping for almost 10 hours! The nappies are taking longer to dry though, and can still be slightly damp around the elastic after 48 hours!
They fit really nicely, and aren't as bulky as the microfibre day nappies. I'd use them all the time if they dried quicker!

Fantastic containment for nights
Monday, 15 November 2021  |

These are great nappies for nights. They are super soft and comfy for the baby and can really hold in a night's worth of wee. I'm only knocking a star off because they take ages to dry so you'll need to buy extras while you have them drying.

The BEST night nappy!
Wednesday, 10 November 2021  |

I was very slow to buying these, even if they were recommended to me, and Iím SO glad we went ahead with them. They are fantastic! Our daughter is a big wetter at night time and was leaking through every night, even with disposables! When finally enough was enough, and I couldnít cope with doing a full outfit change at 3am and invested in buying these nappies, and I can honestly say they have been amazing. Not one single leak and can go 12 hours comfortably. Super absorbent, easy to put on with the Velcro, as well as just being a nice comfortable nappy for my daughter to wear. I would highly recommend to anyone considering them, and I totally wish Iíd be these sooner!

Splendid product
Thursday, 28 October 2021  |

We bought one to trial for our granddaughter aged 9 months, whose regular washable nappies no longer coped with heavy wetting ever since she started to sleep through the night. Research via The Nappy Lady website led us to choose the Tots Bots Bamboozle nappy. Itís been a great success. It has its own matching popper in liner pad, which detaches for laundering. At last we have found a product that keeps baby dry and cuts down on washing. We have ordered a weekís supply. You need to allow two days to get this thicker night nappy dry, on a line or rack.. They are expensive, but worth it.

Great nappy
Wednesday, 6 October 2021  |

Bought a couple of these to try as the pocket nappies are now always leaking. They are really good both for day and night time. They seem less bulky than other brands too, especially because they won't really need additional boosting. I leave them on for 3 to 4 hours with a fleece liner and baby is happy. No incidents ever. I wish I had tried them before! The velcro seems really strong too and they remain soft even after washing a few times. Will buy more!

Sustainable, doesn't leak, bit slow to dry.
Sunday, 3 October 2021  |

I've used these nappies for a few weeks now. They are comfy for my baby, do not leak and are made of environmentally friendly material. The only downside I have discovered is that they are a bit slow to dry. So I need to be mindful about doing the laundry on time. But apart from that, very satisfied.

Excellent absorbent nappy
Tuesday, 28 September 2021  |

Bought these after they were recommended by TNL and have loved them - we've just bought the next size up as we love them so much. We used them from newborn and they were slightly bulky at first but not an issue for baby and they've felt much slimmer as my baby has grown. Really easy to use and get a great fit even for complete nappy changing novices. Extremely absorbent. Never had a leak apart from nights when baby has slept 7-8 hours and we didn't change before the big morning wee. We use with a fleece liner (littlw Lamb or Bear Bott) to keep baby's skin dry. We've used the Tots Bots wraps which are OK but prefer Thirsties Duo Wraps or Motherease Airflows for best fit. They wash well, stay nice and soft and I don't find they take too long to dry on an airer indoors - maybe 24 hours. They're quick to pop in the dryer if needed too. Highly recommended.

It's amazing for absorption but takes sooooo long to dry. Also, I wouldn't use next to baby's skin as it remains so damp to touch. We wrap around a disposable at night to stop leaks and it's amazing for that as it has coverage all around, not just in a pad at the front

My favourite print in Tots Bots Stretch
Sunday, 15 August 2021  |

This print it gorgeous! The nappy itself is easy to use, includes a detachable booster (I also add a LL double thickness booster for night) and dries quicker than standard bamboo nappies. Baby is so comfortable in it! The Velcro used is really high quality so fits securely and no issues with snagging when using laundry tabs.

Fabulous!
Sunday, 15 August 2021  |

Bought the Hedgehug tots bots bamboozle stretch for my 2 part night time nappy system on the basis of reading great reviews. I was not disappointed! Print is much better in real life, nappy very easy to use and we have no leaks overnight despite 10 hour sleeps (I add a LL double thickness booster with Motherease airflow wrap). I did toy with the idea of using nippa nappies initially as I was worried about longevity of Velcro and snagging issues in the wash but the Tots Bots laundry tabs are so secure and stick so tightly that Iím glad I went fo these in the end. They obviously use high quality Velcro.

Fantastic as a night nappy
Monday, 19 July 2021  |

This is our go to as a night nappy for a great fit and trouble free night. I also love a bamboo Terry, but my husband can't get to grips with the nappy nipped so I've just added some extra bamboozles to our stash. We add a single hemp booster and it easily sees our 17 month old through for 12 hours plus.

Absolutely amazing
Sunday, 18 July 2021  |

Love this one. Fits great on my long and thin 14 month old. Will be good until potty training most likely and would fit on a much smaller baby. Very absorbant and feels like it would be comfortable for baby, certainly more so than other nappies of the same type that we have tried. I use this with a bamboo insert and a microfibre liner for comfort. Like the colourful designs, they help with rotating nappies to spread wear on out collection.

brilliant night nappy
Monday, 28 June 2021  |

I use these on my 3 month old boy and 26 month old girl and no leaks so far. they hold a full 12 hour night's worth of wee for both children, and along with either bamboozle wraps or little lamb wraps i have had no problems whatsoever. size wise, I am not sure they will last until potty training for my boy as we already use it on full size, but for now it is working and we will worry about the rest later! Drying time is quite long unless you put it in the tumble dryer but I don't like to do that too often. So I need to invest in another 2 to get through the washing and drying cycle (we currently have 6).

Great fit for long baby
Tuesday, 25 May 2021  |

This is one of my favourite fitted nappies: the fit is really snug around the legs, and the front part extends further to the sides than some others which means the smaller size lasts longer before it has to be retired because the rough side of the Velcro would be against the skin (like the bambinex, which our long slim baby grew out of the size one around 3.5months, but size one of this still fits at nearly 5 months, as well as size two on the adjusted rise). Also, the Velcro is great - they really stay stuck on the laundry tabs in the wash, whereas I find on others at least one seems to come open in the wash and comes out with a reusable wipe or liner stuck to it! They do take a long time to dry if hung inside (2days), especially if you have the rise adjusted (Iím too lazy to undo and redo it for quicker drying!), but that makes sense since they are super absorbent. I also like that the booster poppers in, as you can just leave it attached while it dries so it makes stacking/prepping clean nappies a bit quicker when you just have to put a liner in and itís done.

Tots Bot Bamboozle stretch
Wednesday, 3 March 2021  |

I bought the Tots Bot bamboozle stretch nappies after filling out the Nappy Ladyís questionnaire. I got very comprehensive advise and bought these as part of this. The nappies are great quality. Easy to use and work very well at night for my daughter who is a heavy wetter. Postage was also extremely quick. I will definitely buy from the nappy lady again and more Tots Bot bamboozles for when she outgrows these.

Favourite nappy
Tuesday, 16 February 2021  |

I turned to these to try and get baby as far through the night with minimal changes. He wees A LOT and I was having to use disposables but then they kept leaking. These came to the rescue, they are such a lovely easy to use nappy. The bamboo makes them more absorbent and the stretchy-ness makes them a great fit. The other reusables I use become quite tight as they get wetter, but the stretch on these mitigates that problem. They are slower drying but not so much itís an inconvenience. Theyíre well priced as well. The peenut wraps and patterns are gorgeous.

Great choice for 2-part system
Friday, 5 February 2021  |

We decided to go with these as our day nappy (with motherease wraps) instead of Little Lambs mainly because they are much less bulky than LLs (especially if you don't use the booster) and because we will probably only ever need the one size (we started on these at about 8lb) so more economical than buying a size 1 nappy where we would definitely need the size 2. They do take longer to dry being bamboo but they will still dry in 24hrs on an airer in the bathroom with the dehumidifier on for the daytime. Haven't had any leaks so far, and the containment is great (we had so many poo leaks onto the wraps when using Muslins, but haven't had a single dirty wrap since we switched to the bamboozles.) The laundry tabs are also more reliable at staying closed in the wash than the LLs. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a less bulky 2-part system!

While these are thick and absorbant we tend to avoid using them in our batch as they take so long to dry (2+ days near our radiator). We donít feel that makes it last any longer than some of the others we have bought (ie we canít leave on all night) but we have a heavy wetter.

Totsbots were the first nappy brand I ever used and theyíve never disappointed me. I love all of their products but the bamboozle is amazing. Our girl is a heavy wetter but weíve never had a single leak from this nappy (up to 12 hours) I honestly canít rave enough. We started using Totsbots peenut wraps but I had read a lot about the motherease airflows. Although the peenut wrap did the job and we had no leaks, I liked the idea of my daughter getting some airflow during the night so switched over. I guess itís personal preference but either worked for us. Iíve never read a bad thing about this nappy, you wonít be disappointed.

Iím no stranger to Totsbots bamboozle stretch, having used them since I had my first child 8 years ago. I bought more this time around for my 4th baby, just to update my stash with the new cute animal prints. The quality is still amazing, and itís a staple in this household for daytime use. It contains breastfeed poo and we never ever had a leak in them. One thing I must say about Totsbots nappies is that their Velcro is THE BEST. Iíve bought so many nappies in the last 8 years, and Iím still using the old onesóI never had a problem with them when other brands may give way after a while (no matter how much I clean or de-fluff the velcro)

So dissappointed
Thursday, 20 August 2020  |

Brought these from The Nappy Lady (whose advice and service was excellent). According to the Tots Bots website the size two, which I brought, should hold up to 715ml and it is advertised as a night nappy, keeping baby dry all night. Iím not entirely sure how this amount is calculated but it seems wrong. In my experience the nappy holds much less. My baby is 6 months and an average size. The bamboozles donít fit well on the tummy and leave a gap when she lies on her back. We use the bamboozle booster and a double peanut booster inside and in the morning (10hrs) she is lying in a puddle. The peanut wraps donít seem to fit well over the top either, even when not used with any boosters. They leave gaps too (where the nappy is outside of the wrap). Goodness knows how these would work on a bigger baby when they canít seem to do what is advertised on a 6 month old. Quality wise the nappy is lovely and soft and if tumble dried even for 10 mins it comes out nice and fluffy. Although itís cream to begin with it ends up white after a few washes. The velcro is robust and the back and legs are quite stretchy, just not the tummy part. Itís easy to put on and take off. I honestly donít think I would recommend these to anyone as a night tine nappy at all. So itís back to the search for a night time nappy that fits well and doesnít leak......

Very bulky
Thursday, 20 August 2020  |

Got these for nighttime use as recommended on the questionnaire (baba and boo for daytime). We find this one very bulky and more difficult to use than B&B due to outer wrap. Iím sure that the extra nighttime absorbency is a worthwhile trade off but currently we are still changing our little girlís nappy during the nighttime so not yet necessary for us. If I was starting again I would buy these to try them when our daughter was slightly older and we werenít doing the nighttime changes.

We have used these as night nappies from 5/6 months onwards. We use the inserts and fleece liner and use a Motherease Airflow wrap on the outside. They have been very good and we rarely have leakages. Even when it does leak it's very minor. They do take a day or so to dry and the velcro gets a bit stuck together, but it's not a deal breaker.

Good but not great
Saturday, 15 August 2020  |

I was recommended these by the nappy lady for nighttime use but they're not the best for us. I bought 3 x size 2 nappies new and 4 x size 1 nappies second hand. Size 1 we outgrew around 3 months. Size 2 we are still using (8 months) but find they don't fit well around chunky thighs while getting a bit gappy around the waist. They take about 2 days to dry inside or one day if it's hot and sunny outside.
Bambinex size 2s are a bit bigger and would have been better. I've recently got a Bubblebubs bamboo delights which are side-fastening, a much better fit and quicker to dry. Wish I'd got these first!

Good nappy
Sunday, 26 July 2020  |

I use this mainly as a night nappy and as a day one every so often. It contains and absorbs well. I have the red and blue coloured ones & the colour does not run out at all so it can be washed with other nappies from the first time. I also have the Ďnaturalí colour which feels much softer than the coloured ones however the coloured options dry slightly faster. If used as a night nappy you want Mother-ease stay dry booster as well other wise itís too wet on babyís skin.
Dries out for about two days inside or outside (I donít have tumble dryer).

Excellent all rounder
Friday, 24 July 2020  |

Excellent all rounder. I use with a motherease wrap. Best fit on my baby when he was 8lbs with skinny thighs and fits really well now that he is 14lb and chunky. This is the perfect night nappy when used with a motherease stay dry booster. They dry in about 6-8hours on a lakeland heated airer and within 24 hours on a non heated airer in warm weather.
I use bambinex nappies too but find these retain their softness better in a hard water area.
My husband prefers the all in one nappies, however these are my joint favourite with the Teddy nappies (not as absorbant but so soft and they dry quickly after washing)

Saturday, 23 May 2020  |

These are super absorbent and fit really nicely. They are great for a night time nappy!

For us we couldn't use these in the day because they take too long to dry so we would need loads of them. They also aren't super soft like our teddy's which we use in the day.

Reliable overnight and versatile for both children

These are truly birth to potty with both my newborn and my 2 1/2 year old wearing them at night. We love bamboozles and they are foolproof to fit as well.

Awesome!

I genuinely could not be more impressed with these nappies (& the help from the nappy last and team). As a total rookie to cloth nappies, I expected a bit of leakage perhaps and extra hassle with washing, but I am blown away with how good and easy they are to use. Happy Mummy & happy baby. No leaks at all so far in our 6m old and only one nappy with stay dry booster all night! They are far far better than disposables in terms of performance and I simply wasnít expecting that. Can not recommend highly enough.

great nappy, is a cheaper version
Wednesday, 1 April 2020  |

I have bought a range of nappies to try on my just 2 year old. This is great; slim fitting, absorbent, it washes well and stays soft. The drying time can be over 24hrs. This nappy is just like a Bambinex, which is cheaper. So if I was to buy any more, I would go for a Baminex.

Comfy

I was so relieved to find these for my big 2 year old to wear as night nappies. We'd been using prefolds, but struggling recently to get anything to fit properly. She's around 14.5kg and these look so comfy with growing room to spare. Tha is for the recommendation!

Great for Heavy Wetters!
Thursday, 27 February 2020  |

I use this nappy with a Motherease Airflow wrap on my heavy wetter 8 week old and so far no leaks. I have to use the insert or it gets wet through but itís still relatively slim with a fleece liner to keep the pee away from his skin.

Have nothing to compare to but these have made transition to cloth so easy. Wash well.
