Bamboozle Stretch or Stretchies are made from circular knitted bamboo Rayon with a hidden microfibre core. Bamboozle stretch is a soft, absorbent nappy that fits beautifully even on tiny newborns without compromising on performance. Bamboozle stretch has extra stretchiness in comparison to other nappies and fits the upper weight ranges much better.

Bamboozle stretchies come in 3 sizes however many people only use the size 2 as a birth to potty system. The size 1 fits from 5lbs to 18lbs and is perfect for even low birth weight babies and twins. Size 1 offers excellent absorbency and containment with minimal bulk. If you're planning on using the nappies on more than one child it is worth considering buying the size 1 as this spreads the wear and your older child will be in the size 2 while the new baby is in the size 1. The size 2 fits from 9-40lbs which is ideal for many full term babies. To make the size 2 into a birth to potty nappy you remove the booster to make it slimmer and use the poppers to reduce the length of the nappy. There is always more compromise on fit with a birth to potty system and the size 2 nappy is bulkier and much wider in the lower weight range but will still work perfectly. Size 3 fits from 35lbs+ and is for the chunky monkey babies.  It is not common to need size 3 and most people never need to consider or budget for using this size.

Bamboozle Stretch fastens with Aplix (Velcro) and the tabs can be crossed over to fit slimmer babies. One the size 1 there are one row of length adaptor poppers so that the nappy can be shortened for a newborn until they grow and need the full length. On the size 2 nappy there are two rows of length adaptor poppers so you can use it birth to potty. This gives you great flexibility on fit with small, medium and standard length fittings. Size 3 also has 2 rows of poppers and when poppered down into it's smallest setting it's the equivalent of size 2 in it's longest setting.

The knitted bamboo Rayon fabric stays soft longer than the traditional bamboo terry. The nappy is great for babies with sensitive skin and for customers who live in hard water areas. Bamboo and the microfibre core are both antibacterial fabrics.

Bamboo generally takes a long time to dry but with the super fast drying microfibre core, this nappy dries on an airer in approx 18 hours in a warm environment. It can also be tumble dried but this must be on low/cool. The nappy comes with a detachable bamboo booster to speed drying. The booster can also be removed to make the nappy slimmer while in the smaller length settings.

As with all Totsbots nappies wash at 40/60degrees, cool tumble only, no bleach, sodium bicarb, vinegar or harsh stain removers should be used. More information can be found on the washing of all cloth nappies in our Nappy Info/Tips section.

Bamboozle Stretchies are also suitable for night time but will need additional boosters. Our Little Weeds, PeeNut inserts or basic boosters are perfect. You will also need to use a liner either paper or fleece inside the nappy and an outer waterproof wrap over the top.

The patterned nappies are available in a Triple pack (1 of each).

our go to night nappy
Monday, 22 May 2017  |

Really happy with these nappies. We use them with Motherease Rikki wraps as suggested by the nappy lady. 4 months in and no leaks and we have had some night wears of near 12 hours! Occassionaly add another booster between wrap and nappy at night but to be honest not convinced this is actually necessary. I chose these nappies for night time and any other time when I really can't afford leaks!

These are great overnight nappies. I combine them with a bamboo booster and fleece liner plus a wrap. No leaks at all (unlike with disposables I've used), although they are saturated by morning, probably due to multiple night feeds!

Super absorbent

With a thin hemp booster and disana woollen pants it can take 10 hours. I hold her out before going to sleep to reduce the chance of nighttime poo. Dries long but when i put it near the radiator it takes maybe 16 hours. I like that it's made in the UK. It's easy to change at night because of the hook and loop, so far nice fit. My life is much easier now!

Great night nappy!

After having ordered this nappy I really understood what all the fuss is about. It is a great nappy for the night, soft and reliable. I use it with a disana wool soaker and it lasts all night on my heavy wetting 14months old, just with one additional Booster (and I am not sure that's even totally necessary). Highly recommended!

Really effective nappies
Tuesday, 3 January 2017  |

These nappies are brilliant, genuinely very absorbent, and being stretchy they fit well. We are using them for a tall special-needs four year old, so slimness is essential. We have not had a single leak yet, though have not tried them overnight yet as we use the easy peasy bumper nappy for that. But for daytime use I can't fault them. Washing is easy and I am lucky enough to have an airing cupboard so they dry in 24 hours.

These replaced another brand for me, which I had found to harden and which had their velcro curl quickly. These have been great so far, a few weeks in and are still pretty soft (although I do tumble dry most of the time), have contained brilliantly (I was fitting them a little poorly at first which meant a leak or two). The adjustment is good, a little bulky, but I would expect that anyway. Just need more people making clothes for real nappy wearing babies now!

Tuesday, 11 October 2016  |

Never leaks, is super soft and comfy. I use a milovia wrap over the top which does a great job on our little one (5.3kg / 60cm, so fairly skinny).
We don't need to change during the night, meaning the bamboozle often stays on for 12 hours. Amazingly, it doesn't even smell bad, as long as there's only urine in it, obviously.

Lovely and soft, takes ages to dry
Wednesday, 21 September 2016  |

These nappies are the most lovely and soft ones ever! Equally though they take a long time to dry, forget air drying they need a radiator or dryer. They work really well but are quite bulky on a newborn so their bottom is more elevated than their head when they sleep. They fit brilliant for a newborn but just bulky. I look forward to using these more when my baby is a little bigger.

Bomb proof!
Wednesday, 7 September 2016  |

Brilliant nappy- lovely and soft, gives a great fit even on smaller less chubby babies, has so far stayed nice and soft after washing and doesn't take too long to dry considering its absorbency. Marginally prefer the Sandy's over the Stretchie because I prefer poppers and the front over back configuration, which on my particular baby allows me to get a better fit and avoids the bulbous Velcro section lying against her waist and potentially rubbing (although I haven't actually experienced any rubbing or soreness with the Stretchies). Have found that the White Velcro on the cream nappy turns a bit of a "dirty white" colour after washing, but obviously doesn't show once a wrap's over the top and doesn't affect performance. Have only been using for a couple of months, so can't comment on longevity.

Fantastic nighttime nappy
Monday, 15 August 2016  |

These nappies are great for nighttime, my ten week old can last ten hours+ in them overnight despite overnight feeds and still has a dry bottom in the morning. At present we're only using the snap on booster which came with the nappy (+a fleece liner and wrap). They also contain her large, liquid breastfeeding poos which have defeated all disposables! They are very bulky but for nighttime this doesn't bother me and I'm actually reassured that they will last as she grows. I use the motherease airflow wraps as with the Rikki there always seemed to me some Velcro scratching her. The nappies do take a while to dry- just over 24 hours on an airer inside next to a sunny south facing window- but the five recommended by Wendy is plenty if you wash every other day.

Wednesday, 3 August 2016  |

We use the PeeNut inserts during the day and the Bamboozle stretch during the night, with a PeeNut wrap and a PeeNut insert as a booster. This works really well for us. The nappy does take long to dry, so you do need some extra to make sure you have a dry one after washing.

Great nappies for a first timer
Thursday, 16 June 2016  |

I bought these for my daughter after reading loads of reviews and advice carefully, I find them excellent and am a total convert - although I admit I haven't tried many others but then I don't need to! The shape and fit is excellent, Felicity was an average size newborn (7lbs8) and these were good from the off although obviously looked enormous on her as a newborn. She is now 4 and a half weeks old and these are starting to feel a little snug, not on width, but on length, to pull up high enough when they have a thick booster in there too. I think I will soon be moving up to the size 2, but these have been excellent for this first month at least. I didn't use the poppers to make them smaller for more than about the first week, but then she is a fairly long baby and I needed the extra length to fit my boosters in as well, which she wears all the time. The nappy by itself has good absorbency though, it's just that I only change her every 3 or 4 hours usually so I like the extra absorbency at all times, and she is comfortable in these. When used with a wrap obviously (we used Motherease Rikki as recommended) there have been no leaks. On the odd occasion when poo has got round the liner and onto the edge of the nappy, it's come off fine with no staining at 40 degrees after wet-pailing. Obviously the absorbency means that these take a long time to dry, we've been able to use outside line-drying mainly which has helped, but these have needed at least 20 minutes tumble drying as well after a day on the line. So it is worth getting an extra 5 of these so you can wash every other day, otherwise it can be frustrating having to use the tumbledryer all the time. They will dry on a clothes-horse as well but obviously this takes much longer. Overall this is a great buy, the stripe pattern is attractive, and they are so easy to use. I find the Velcro fastening a great feature as its so much quicker than a popper

I brought 2 of these to try with my 2 month old at night and they are great. She is a heavy wetter but easily see her through 9 hours of sleep (I know im lucky!) still with some absorbency left and no discomfort. With a fleece liner her bottom is dry in the morning and no rash or redness. I use these with the Motherease airflow wrap and have zero leaks!

Brilliant but so slow to dry
Wednesday, 8 June 2016  |

I love these nappies. They look so cute (we have one of each of the stripy ones), they are very easy to adjust sizing and very very easy to put on - easier than disposables. The containment is excellent; never had a leak. They are also quite a slimline fit for a 2 part nappy.

However they are so slow to dry. Our house is not warm but they can take up to 48 hours. The Bumbles, by contrast, have usually dried on the same rack in 8-10 hours. So we've not been able to have only Bamboozles as our full nappy system. If we had a warmer house (or maybe a heated drying rack) then I'd go full time on these.

Fantastic Night Nappy
Monday, 23 May 2016  |

We used to use PopIn Bamboo nappies at night but with baby number two we have switched over to these fabulously absorbant bamboozles.
The main reason was to give baby a break from plastic and use Wool Wraps at night instead.
The Popins used to be so sodden so I was so surprised that the wool wraps with these Bamboozles stopped leaks all together, and we have zero nappy rash as air is now circulating for the 12 hours at night. I couldn't recommend this method more highly.

We were looking for something to replace terry squares for ease of use during the day and thought this would be a good option. It's a great nappy, not too bulky, and now we've worked out the best way of putting them on, fairly leak free. I feel that the elastic at the back digs in quite a bit into his back and I couldn't initially get the front to lie flat. Also the manufacture quality seems less than I expected. The booster seams are starting to unravel a little (striped bamboozles). A good nappy but with some niggles

Lovely soft nappy in cool colours! We have been using it as a night nappy for 3 weeks now. Together with the Motherweave cover we've had no leaks so far. Our 5-month old is a heavy wetter so we do change the nappy once in the middle of the night, it's usually completely wet and his skin clammy. However, no rashes or leaks and our baby isn't complaining which he definitely would do if it didn't feel comfortable for him.

We air dry our nappies and it takes about 24hrs in a warm room to get the nappy dry.

Super absorbent nappy
Saturday, 23 January 2016  |

We've used these since 4 months now during the night with an additional booster and a motherease wrap. Not a single leak, even when leaving them on around 12 hours! They are super absorbent and well, simply work great at night!

We've also had no skin issues despite leaving them on so long.

They are easy to hang up with the attached booster and because they absorb so well, we don't have to wash the wrap very often.

And also like the colors.

What I am wondering a bit is: My son is now 6 months and on the 25th percentile. I already use them on the most extended setting to fit them well around his waist as they are quite bulky. Will I be able to use them until he is dry at night?

We got 5 nappies, as per recommendation by the nappy lady. However, I think I will get at least one more as they do take a long time to dry. And sometimes I forget to put them on the heater and when I want to put one on, I find they're still sightly moist. So when washing on alternate days, they need at least 3-4 days to dry in the winter without anything to help them dry.

So great nappy for the night. Would definitely buy again and recommend.

Friday, 22 January 2016  |

Our little boy was initially in disposables as we were nervous of the cord being knocked but we encountered several leaks. He's been in the bamboozle stretch for a few days now since losing his cord and not a single leak. We're using them with motherease rikki wraps. Even at night time there are no leaks and we're not yet using boosters.
He's 7lb and so the size 1 nappies are on the smallest poppers - vest extenders necessary but sleepsuits fit fine.
They are slow to dry but are ready to use again after 24 hours on the airer next to the radiator.
Very pleased with this nappy!

Only had leaks with these twice in the 3 months we've had them and that was easily rectified with an extra booster.

They last throughout the night and even go on to contain his early morning present.
Glad i bought the pack of three and will be going on to buy more of these as budget allowing.

The Bamboozles were recommended as an overnight nappy by Wendy. They fit well, my son seems happy (although due to the size/bulk they seem to stop him rolling over, the poor thing) and he can go overnight with this and a booster. The nappy is pretty heavy come the morning but combined with a wrap work well so no complaints.

Having had many wet nights until now I'm so happy to finally finda nappy that is absorbant enough for overnight. I'm not even needing to boost at the moment so plenty of scope to increase too. It is pretty bulky but no more so than my mega-boosted previous nappies, although not sure they would be great for a day nappy. They fit well and are soft too. Only other downside is they take quite a long time to dry, but that's the payoff for the absorbancy I guess

We have found that these make great night time nappies for our twin boys and use Motherease Airflow wraps with them. Although they are bulky nappies this hasn't been an issue for them, especially as used at night. We have never had a leak from them and as yet we haven't needed to use a booster, the nappies have lasted a good 12
hours without any problems. They always feel nice & soft after washing although they take a couple of days to fully dry. We have eight of these for our boys which is more than enough when washed every couple of days.

We use these for night-time and they are great; so absorbent, easy to use and fit perfectly with the velcro. They have tabs to fold back the velcro when they're in the wash so that they don't stick to anything else. I particularly love the buzz black and yellow colour; when our little one wears it we call it the "bumble-bee bottom"

I use these nappies for night time as i find they are a bit bulky in the day compared to the bumgenius elementals i use. I was using disposables at night and often found they had leaked whereas i've had no leaks with these and the motherease airflow wrap. I've got the hemp boosters to use though haven't put them in yet - little boy nearly one. I used terries for the first six months and would consider using these next time instead as so easy to use with great containment/absorbancy. They do take a bit longer to dry but are worth it.

Comfy but still quite big
Tuesday, 14 July 2015  |

I would definitely recommend these nappies for night time, they are really absorbent and we've not had any leaks yet even when on for 8-10 hours! Because they are birth to potty they are still pretty bulky (especially with a booster insert) for our 7 month old (quite a difference from disposables) so we put it on right before bed so that she's not crawling around with it on for any length of time. She still manages to roll easily from her back to her tummy at night, so they don't limit her movement in any way, but she doesn't lay on her side in them to sleep as she does with her bumgenius in the day. They take about 1-2 days to dry on the maiden when we have it in the lounge but only a few hours on the line when it's warm. We don't have a dryer but I think it would be useful for these nappies when winter comes around.
