Bamboozle Stretch or Stretchies are made from circular knitted bamboo Rayon with a hidden microfibre core. Bamboozle stretch is a soft, absorbent nappy that fits beautifully even on tiny newborns without compromising on performance. Bamboozle stretch has extra stretchiness in comparison to other nappies and fits the upper weight ranges much better.

Bamboozle stretchies come in 3 sizes however many people only use the size 2 as a birth to potty system. The size 1 fits from 5lbs to 18lbs and is perfect for even low birth weight babies and twins. Size 1 offers excellent absorbency and containment with minimal bulk. If you're planning on using the nappies on more than one child it is worth considering buying the size 1 as this spreads the wear and your older child will be in the size 2 while the new baby is in the size 1. The size 2 fits from 9-40lbs which is ideal for many full term babies. To make the size 2 into a birth to potty nappy you remove the booster to make it slimmer and use the poppers to reduce the length of the nappy. There is always more compromise on fit with a birth to potty system and the size 2 nappy is bulkier and much wider in the lower weight range but will still work perfectly. Size 3 fits from 35lbs+ and is for the chunky monkey babies.  It is not common to need size 3 and most people never need to consider or budget for using this size.

Bamboozle Stretch fastens with Aplix (Velcro) and the tabs can be crossed over to fit slimmer babies. One the size 1 there are one row of length adaptor poppers so that the nappy can be shortened for a newborn until they grow and need the full length. On the size 2 nappy there are two rows of length adaptor poppers so you can use it birth to potty. This gives you great flexibility on fit with small, medium and standard length fittings. Size 3 also has 2 rows of poppers and when poppered down into it's smallest setting it's the equivalent of size 2 in it's longest setting.

The knitted bamboo Rayon fabric stays soft longer than the traditional bamboo terry. The nappy is great for babies with sensitive skin and for customers who live in hard water areas. Bamboo and the microfibre core are both antibacterial fabrics.

Bamboo generally takes a long time to dry but with the super fast drying microfibre core, this nappy dries on an airer in approx 18 hours in a warm environment. It can also be tumble dried but this must be on low/cool. The nappy comes with a detachable bamboo booster to speed drying. The booster can also be removed to make the nappy slimmer while in the smaller length settings.

As with all Totsbots nappies wash at 40/60degrees, cool tumble only, no bleach, sodium bicarb, vinegar or harsh stain removers should be used. More information can be found on the washing of all cloth nappies in our Nappy Advice section - using and washing cloth nappies.

Bamboozle Stretchies are also suitable for night time but will need additional boosters. Our Little Weeds, PeeNut inserts or basic boosters are perfect. You will also need to use a liner either paper or fleece inside the nappy and an outer waterproof wrap over the top.

Lovely, soft, leak free nappy
Tuesday, 2 July 2019  |

I love this nappy! It's wonderfully soft and as the title suggests, stretchy! It means that it's really flexible around little hips, bums and thighs. It's really slim fitting find too. I use them with the peenut wrap and it's a great combo.
As ever, first class service from the nappy lady. Quick response time to any questions and the nappies arrive so quickly after ordering it's amazing!

Been using these nappies at night for my 5 week old boy. He's a really heavy wetter but the bamboozles have contained everything! Never had a leak, super easy to use and cute designs. Paired with an airflow wrap they are absolutely brilliant.
Size 1 fit my baby from birth and he was a small 6.5lb baby. They do look bulky on tiny babies and I could never get the fit right with the poppers done up at the front so I've just left them open which works fine.

Great night nappy
Wednesday, 12 June 2019  |

Really good night nappy, so far we haven't had any leaks and we are only using the booster that comes with the nappy (no need of an additional one). It's also great for local economy because they are made in Scotland. The only downside is that they take quite long to dry, but that is something common to all bamboo nappies.

My daughter can wet through a disposable in less than an hour but we've been using these overnight since she was 4 months old and they've been brilliant. Never had a leak! She's now almost 2 and they still look new. We've had to boost with a little weeds booster ( because of the inevitable toddler 'floods') but that's to be expected with her. Excellent nappy.

This nappy is easy to use and absorbancy is quite good but I have found it has shrunk quite alot in the first few washes and i cant see it being very long before my 16lb 5month old grows out of it. It was more expensive then other similar brands and in my opinion not worth the extra money.

Absolutely my favourite nappy so far! Great fit and the poppers allow scope to alter as he grows!
Find the waist really comfortable with plenty of space and not too hard or bulky to cause discomfort! Great containment and absorption allowing day or night use.

Highly recommend these as both daytime and nighttime nappies. I use with Peenut wraps and they too are great. Less bulky than I had anticipated, so my little one wears them during the day too! Take a while to dry, but definitely worth it

These fit great, even a slimmer legged baby. The absorbency is really good considering it is not bulky. I have only given it 4 stars because I prefer other brands. My baby is a heavier wetter and from the previous reviews I was expecting this to be super amazing.

Previously used Charlie bananas and had frequent heavy wee leaks. Now use totsbots and motherease in day for second child. Compared to the Charlie bananas with boosters in to make them barely fit for purpose, the totsbots are not bulky. They are very reliable, easy to use in the day and overnight with addition of a booster. Also half the price of the Charlie bananas. Would highly recommend totsbots and motherease.

These nappies really are bomb proof, handling my 4 month old's (a heavy wetter!) long afternoon naps with no leaks even without the booster attached, and also dealing amazingly well with dirty nappies too. I have never had any leaks when using these with a waterproof cover.

An excellent sized nappy
Tuesday, 12 March 2019  |

I am steadily building my collection of reusables and purchased three types of shaped sized nappies. This is by far my favourite and the best performing of the three. It is so soft against my 4 week old baby's skin and fits her brilliantly. It is incredibly absorbent and washes really well too.

We use these as a nighttime nappy, they are easy to put on with the Velcro tabs and perform very well. The elastic waist and legs form a good fit and have managed to contain a couple of potential poo-namis.
No booster needed for nighttime use so far but might need one as baby gets older.
Washes well but they do take a long time to dry, Iíd get a few so as not to be caught short.

I followed the advice of the Nappy lady and bought the Bamboozles with Motherease Rikkis wraps. These are great nappies. They are extremely reliable and easy to use. I find that the naturals are softer and therefore easier to fit around the legs, but of course they stain more easily. For night time I use them with their booster, for daytime without. I've used them for 4 months and so far there haven't been any leaks. They work great with a number of wraps - Motherease, Totsbots, Milovia, Pop ins...

Great nappy, easy to fit and I love the cute design. I use under motheresae airflow wrap. Haven't tried it for the full night as I usually change my son at least once a night but can easily get 6 hours out of it. Only problem is drying but I haven't used it in dryer just on clothes horse due to awful winter weather.

The bamboozles are great nappies. Really reliable and we have never had a leak. The prints are super cute but I have found the prints donít seem to stay as soft as the natural ones and are getting quite rough. I donít have a dryer so thatís not an option to soften them. However it hasnít affected how the nappy works. My top choice for overnight and during the day if we need a super reliable option for car journeys. I would use them full time if they didnít take so long to dry - a solid 24hours!!!

Brilliant night time nappy. We bought these on the nappy ladys recommendation, along with the motherease rikki wrap and sandy stay dry boosters for use overnight. Works brilliantly, the Bamboozle is soaked through at the front (Our ten month old sleeps on her front) by the morning but no leaks, even on the nights she has woken to feed multiple times. These look a little bulky on her but it's doesn't hinder her movement or bother her at all.

Wednesday, 4 July 2018  |

This was our first time trying cloth overnight and I'm pleased to say we've had no leaks and no nappy rashes. They take a little time to dry but worth it for their absorbency. We have the poppers fully open on our 5month old but he is a big baby with a long back/bottom. There's plenty of room on the waist still so I'm hopeful that they will continue to fit well as he grows.

Wednesday, 20 June 2018  |

A wonderful night nappy, very absorbent, I have to boost it a bit as my boy is a big wetter and use a motherease stay dry against his skin which keeps him lovely and dry. The bamboozle is soft, moulds to his skin and dries in a day on the airer in the conservatory or on the line. My boy is quite tall and I think this nappy will last him as he grows. I've had no leaks with these in the night!

Bamboozle stretchies
Wednesday, 30 May 2018  |

We've been using the bamboozle stretchies on my 12 week old baby since she was 3 weeks old and they are fabulous. She was 9lb 15oz at birth and quite long so went straight into the middle popper setting and now needs the full length. She is a heavy wetter and didn't tolerate being in a disposable nappy the moment she had wet it. She will last all night in a bamboozle. Only one poo leak so far which was user error when fitting round the legs. They wash well and line dry in a day, inside drying took up to 3 days in cold weather (in an airing cupboard in a poorly heated house). The prints are lovely and colour fast. The only negative point is the stitching on the applix band on one nappy has come loose but that's 1 out of 15 nappies.

Size 2 won't last until 35lb!
Monday, 21 May 2018  |

I use these at night on my 5 month old with a motherease airflow wrap and have done so since he was a month old. They're absorbent, comfortable and wash well (long drying time noted but not a problem).

I initially loved them and would have given 5 stars, but have developed a few reservations as my son has grown. I'm using size 2 which should see him up to 35lb; I've followed the washing instructions to the letter, but find that at 20lb they are already becoming tight and the velcro tabs are at the very ends of the tummy velcro strip. I appreciate this is a stretchy nappy, but the velcro is not - and it's very unlikely that this will fit him up to 35lb. I'm disappointed because I wanted a birth to potty nappy, particularly for this price.

Friday, 18 May 2018  |

After much deliberation and negativity from other mums I decided to give washable nappies a go (I figured I knew no different as a first time Mum!) The nappy lady reccomended bamboozle stretches for my situation and theyíve been fantastic! On the rare occasion Iíve used disposable nappies, they havenít been as absorbent as the stretchies. Ok, they take some to dry, but over winter I used the radiators and now in spring they dry well outside on the line. They are so soft and my baby has had hardy any nappy rash. Only slight downside is the size of the nappies, you definitely need the clothes extenders and some clothes just wonít fit over them. BUT to know Iím helping the environment and thereís no chemicals on my babies skin certainly outways the tiny niggle about drying and size.

Bamboozled stretchies
Saturday, 21 April 2018  |

We bought the size 2 for our fast growing 10lb daughter. The popper options make the nappy nice and adaptable. I'm not always sure if I have the velcro tight/loose enough though. Elastic nice and strong for good containment-we have explosive poo and do hit the elastic regularly. As nappy lady recommends it's helpful to give the nappies a stretch when putting put to airdry. Even with a microfiber core these nappies can take over 24 hours to dry, but it's usually just in time for our alternate day washing schedule!

Well it is as it says in the description. The best nappy to use overnight. My 3 month old wore it through the night followed by an explosive poo at 6 am and everything was contained. It does however take very long to dry so although I would love to only use these throughout the day I feel that it is impractical for the English climate (where you have to dry indoors most of the year), unless of course you have a drying machine - in which case I question the ecological value of the whole affair.
Using them only as a nighttime nappy and watching them dry for 3 days is a good compromise for me.

I have been using these as a night Nappy for about a year.
Very absorbant. No leaks. (I use with mother ease wrap) Excellent Velcro and laundry tabs. Washes well. Seem comfortable for baby.
Takes a while to dry in winter - 48hours indoor on an airer. Quite bulky, particularly when baby was smaller but as I only use at night not an issue for me.
I am also slightly worried I will have to buy a second size eventually as my boy is bigger than average but we will see.
The Nappy lady service is always excellent. Quality products, Speedy delivery and helpful advice.

Great fit, even on a newborn and seem to be good quality. My son was 7lb7oz and they fit almost immediately with the poppers done up. They take a while to dry but not a problem if you have a mixture of nappies/enough nappies. Not too bulky and are comfortable for baby. Excellent absorbency and fantastic containment. I used with a fleece liner. I was recommended the motherease rikki xs for a cover but actually find I preferred the tots bots covers because they are softer and the Velcro is thinner.

I called The Nappy Lady and explained that we still used a disposable liner for nighttime and could she recommend a washable. She asked about the size of my baby (the length mainly) and very simply said 'get the Bamboozle stretch and the Motherease airflow'. I did what she said and we've never looked back! Now we just need to order more to last us the whole week as we don't have a tumble dryer and they do take about 48 hours to dry. Thank you for the great recommendation!

Friday, 20 October 2017  |

I really like this nappy for night wear. It is very absorbent, soft and fits my baby really well (he is 98th% for height). They do take a while to dry but you expect that from bamboo nappies (about a day on the radiator, two if air drying). I would also say that they are not as bulky as other night time nappies.
Never had a leak. Because of the bamboo layer next to the skin I use the motherease stay dry boosters next to the skin to prevent nappy rash. I also use these with the motherease airflow popper wraps.

Perfect night nappy!
Thursday, 14 September 2017  |

I bought these just for comparisons sake to the Little Lamb Bamboo nappies for night use. I was assuming that these probably would be better (they are, after all, nearly twice the price) but not noticeably so. I have to say, I do think they are much better! Absorbency wise, they are similar, with the stretchies just nosing in front (they don't seem quite as sodden after 12 hours), but they definitely seem to be higher quality and less bulky. I also prefer these velcro tabs to the little lamb ones, they are easier to put on quickly. They also are softer and dry a bit faster (though still a quite slow, but think that's par for the course with bamboo) And the patterns are adorable, not that that really matters! I use them under the Disana wool wrap and it's an amazing combination. No nappy rash, no leaks, poo well contained, a very happy customer here.
