Little Lamb bamboo nappies are incredibly soft and extremely absorbent. They are also a fantastic price for a sized nappy system. The Little Lamb Bamboo is the best selling Little Lamb nappy, however Little Lambs are also available in Microfibre or Organic Cotton. Bamboo viscose is extremely absorbent however it does have a tendency to shrink when woven into nappies. Little Lamb bamboo nappies now have their bamboo viscose knitted into a fine microfibre fabric therefore creating a non- shrinking non- pull bamboo nappy.

All Little Lamb nappies fasten with Velcro making them extremely simple to use. The tabs on all the Little Lambs have a crossover tab at the waist so the nappy can be made a tighter fit for a smaller baby.

There are laundry tabs inside each nappy which are designed to secure the tabs before the nappy goes into the bucket or washing machine. This prevents the Velcro picking up fluff in the washing machine and makes the Velcro long lasting.

The fit of the Little Lambs has been altered and offers a fantastic fitting nappy. The leg is tight enough to prevent leaks but not too tight to create any chaffing. They use the softest elastic that is gentle on baby’s skin but is robust enough to last. The waist is also elasticated to help contain any explosions. Little Lamb bamboo come in three sizes but the vast majority of children will only need the first 2 sizes.

  • Size 1 fits 7-18lbs
  • Size 2 18-35lbs
  • Size 3 35lbs+

Each nappy comes with a double layer bamboo viscose booster to increase absorbency further. This is loose in the size 1 nappy so the nappy can be made slimmer for a newborn but the booster is sewn into the size 2. This booster is an integral part of the nappy and you will need an additional booster for night time. The Little Lamb bamboo is perfect as a night time nappy when used with an additional booster.

The Little Lamb nappy is a short length nappy and if your baby is tall or has the potential to be tall this might not be the nappy for you unless you’re happy you might have to buy all three sizes.

The Little Lamb bamboo is incredibly absorbent however it is also an extremely SLOW drying nappy. If you do not have a tumble drier as backup it would be a very good idea to have a mix of Little Lamb nappies so that you have some of the faster drying Little Lamb Organic Cotton or the superfast drying Little Lamb Microfibre.

Very absorbant, good for night time
Monday, 22 May 2017  |

These nappies come with a removable bamboo and fleece insert. Combined with a 'mother Ease airflow cover' they last a full night without any leaks used on my child so far between the ages of 2-4 months. He must weigh about 14 pounds now and although there is plenty of extra adjustment space on the waist the length from front to back is getting a bit short so will soon have to buy the next size up. As written they take a very long time to dry, we bought 5 so we haven't been without.

These are great nappies. Have been using these alongside the faster drying micro fleece version for 3 weeks. So far so good! Slow drying as warned but otherwise great (use with the little lamb wraps).

Amazing nappies!!!

These nappies are amazing, very absorbant and great for night time, I also like that the liner is attached.
I know the size there for is only a guide, as my daughter needed them when she was about 17 pound.

The softest nappies!
Thursday, 18 May 2017  |

These are the most beautiful, soft nappies! They looked huge compared to the size 1 nappies but they fit really well on the tightest tab and absorb so much more! My baby is now 8 months old, 18lbs and 50th centile for some idea of fit. They do take FOREVER to dry, but they are worth the wait! I will be buying a few more.

Little lamb nappy
Monday, 20 March 2017  |

I decided to try useable nappies as my son had extremely sensitive skin and disposables were leaving his skin raw, not to mention every pooy nappy went straight up his back! I bought 5 of these to trial alongside another make when he was 3 months old. I bought the smaller ones as he was on 20th percentile as I didn't want them to be too bulky or too big that they leak! In hindsight I think the 2nd size would have been fine as I think they are fairly slim fitting. I like these nappies they are fairly absorbent, I've used them with the peenut wrap and I've had no leaks, of any kind! I find they are quite solid on his bottom as they get wet though! The only downside with these is the drying time; they take a whole cycle on my tumble dryer and will still be slightly damp! Overall if you buy them I don't think you'd be disappointed, but ypu will need to consider drying times when calculating the number you will need.

Great overnight nappy
Wednesday, 22 February 2017  |

Great nappy for the price. Size 2 gets a bit bulky (not a fan of sewn in booster), but does the job well without any leaks for at least 12 hours. If price wouldnt be an issue- would choose bamboozle stretch though (now using a mix of both brands).

My go to night nappy
Thursday, 26 January 2017  |

Wish I had taken the Nappy Lady's advice and got these from the start. They are a great design, easy to use, wash and dry well. Work great with a bamboo booster for my tummy sleeper at night. The fleece liner is great too, poo just rolls off, much preferable to a paper liner and very comfortable too. Recommended!

I bought these for night time use, which they are great for. They are so cute and soft. The only downside with this type of nappy is taking them off in the night or morning you have to touch the wet material.

Saturday, 7 January 2017  |

These are great nappies, great containment and leakproof. However, after less than a year of use on our daughter, the velcro has degraded and is completely useless! We followed all washing instructions as per the manufacturer and nappy lady advice. Little Lambs were great at replacing our first lot, but same thing happened with second lot. We're now changing brands.

Response:

Sorry to hear you've had a problem with your nappies. It's very unusual to have such problems especially on two different sizes as they'd be from different batches. It does sound like something in your situation is degrading the nappies as if it was batch faults we'd expect to be receiving hundreds of complaints with the same issue and we haven't.

Best Nappy We Own
Thursday, 29 December 2016  |

A 5 star nappy. I bought 10 size 1 nappies and they are the very best in our nappy stash, I wish we had 20. When used with the little lamb 'bomb-proof' wraps are amazing for containment and absorbency. I find them far superior to the bamboozle stretch fitted nappy or any of our tots bots nappies that we have purchased.

Good but
Sunday, 4 December 2016  |

I've used little lamb nappies from birth until 9months (I only had size one) and they were really good with explosive poos from meconium to breastfed faeces. I have microfibre, cotton and bamboo, they're slow drying, except the microfibre ones and I find the velcro doesn't last very long : I had brand new microfibre and bamboo and after 9months of use the velcro is not really doing it's job anymore, and yet I always secured the tabs before a wash and never tumble dried. I had a lot of second hand cotton ones with completely worn out elastic and velcro, I can sew so I changed those and my old nappies are like new but it's a long job !
So great fit for my 9.6lbs newborn, great absorcency, I love that it comes with a fleece insert but poor quality velcro from what I experienced.

The best at containment
Wednesday, 23 November 2016  |

These nappies are poo-splosion proof. We have been using Little Lamb shaped nappies since our little girl was 2 months old. She is exclusively breastfed and poo's every few days....this is messy...as u can imagine. These and their cotton counter parts keep it all in and I rarely have to change the wraps.
The bamboo nappies are great for overnight use as our little one sleeps through for 8 - 9 hours. They are super absorbent and we don't experience leaks. Have the boosters at the ready for when we need them.
Our little one is quite short and very chunky so Little Lambs fit her perfectly. She is over 16lbs now so we are starting to move onto size 2's despite the fact size 1's are up to 18lbs as they are just beginning to get a little short and tight on her thighs.
The bamboo nappies take a while to dry. I tend to dry them on an airer and then hang them in the airing cupboard. Combining these with fast drying cotton nappies means I don't need to wash every day and have enough to last whilst others are drying.

It's very soft and fluffy nappy. I haven't got a chance to put it to the test yet, but have preped it and the only flaw that I see so far is drying time, which can take up to 48h line drying. but I think it is well worth having a bunch of these as a part of the stash, as they look like they are very absorbent.

Bamboo Nappies
Monday, 5 September 2016  |

I purchased 5 of these, great price!! They have been washed and used a few times now probably about 4/5 each and still very fluffy so I'm guessing that they have not reached their full absorbency yet. I have used with a mother ease wrap during day and it lasted 2.5 hours, but I use mainly at night with a triple booster plus a pop in night booster then a wool soaker on top, the nappy is soaked right through in the morning definitely not as absorbent as bamboozle stretch, but the price is also a lot less

In terms of efficiency this nappy is great. My son is a heavy wetter so I use the bamboo insert provided plus another between the nappy and the waterproof wrap. It lasts overnight no problem.
My only reserve with this nappy is that it's a slightly smaller size than I expected. It says up to 18lbs but my son is only 12lbs and I don't see him wearing the size 1 much longer, hence the 4 stars review.
I'll definitely be getting the size 2 soon though!

After using terry nappies for my first two, a few months into my third, I decided to treat myself so I changed to these. Wow, how easy my life has become! Simple quick changing, essential when little one becomes more mobile. Storing and washing is easy. Drying takes a little longer as they are bamboo but the absorption capacity is excellent. Use these nappies on my 4 months old boy who is breastfed and has very wet nappies. They last all night and no leaks. The wraps also fit perfectly to prevent leaks. The nappies do take a long time to dry because they're bamboo, but that's also what makes them super absorbent

These are very absorbent (never had a leak) and feel lovely and fluffy. They are a fair bit bulkier than my favourites (Bamboozles) so not really suitable for some baby clothes but they are very reliable and definitely excellent value for a third of the price. They also dry a bit quicker than the bamboozles (though they are still long-drying bamboo compared to other fabric options). I use them with Motherease, Tots Bots and homemade wraps - all good!

I use these nappies as a night time nappy and they are brilliant. Super soft, very absorbent and they fit great. They are very bulky so I personally wouldn't use them during the day. My little boy wears one for a full 12-13 hours at night (unless he has a cheeky night time poo!) and even though it is soaking in the morning his bum looks and feels fresh. Works great with motherease air flow wraps. Love them!

Fabulous nappies!
Tuesday, 3 November 2015  |

I bought 5 of these to use as night nappies. They are beautiful quality, wash really well, and the fit is great too. We've not had any leaks so far (4 weeks in!) using these plus the Mother-Ease Airflow wrap, even when she has worn it all night long. The fleece lining is lovely and soft and keeps her dry, and the booster is nicely absorbent (although I suspect we may need to add a second when she gets towards the upper end of the size range). The nappies have stayed soft in our extermely hard water. Excellent value for money on the multibuy too. I've only given it 4 stars not 5 because they do take a while to dry, and come out of the tumbler damp when everything else in the load is dry, but provided you have enough this isn't a major problem - we finish drying them in the airing cupboard.

Excellent nappies. My 17 month old son is a very heavy night time wetter and these nappies are practically bulletproof (we use 2 extra bamboo liners in them overnight). Fairly bulky, but very absorbent and soft and a good fit. Take ages to dry, but that's the price you pay for absorbency. If you can hang them outside they dry much quicker.

Our favourite by far
Wednesday, 10 June 2015  |

I ended up with a big bundle of little lamb microfibre and bamboo nappies along with a load of tots bots easyfit. As much as I loved the convenience of the tots bots they leaked from the word go, and I quickly gave up on them. The little lambs when used with little lambs wrapped also seemed to leak but once I started using them with airflow and Rikki wraps as recommended by the nappy lady I really can't complain. My little boy is a heavy wetter and poos 8-10 times a day, I have not had a single leak due to wetness and only twice has a particularly explosive poo made it past the nappy but never past the wrap. My only mistake was waiting for him to 'grow into' the motherease wraps as I hadn't realised the we're supposed to be loose around the legs. Back to the nappies themselves I have 12 microfibre and 5 bamboo (only use bamboo at night) and wash daily for now as we go through 10-12 nappies a day at nearly a month old, but it seems to be slowing down a bit which is good news! The bamboo ones do take a while to dry but as I only use them at night that's not an issue.

In summary these nappies are bomb proof, but definitely use with motherease wraps not the little lambs own ones.

This one is good for absorbancy at night & stays soft & comfy without a tumble drier. It does take ages to dry tho, so our heater needs to stay on longer than we would like!

I have some microfibre and bamboo little lambs. Personally I feel the quick drying nature of the microfibre such a bonus and so I prefer these; however I use the bamboo ones overnight sometimes. Both are v soft. These are v absorbant which is good but I like to change my babies nappy at least every few hrs anyway so I don't need the extra absorbancy in the day. Are bulkier than some but I don't mind this. Work well with motherease airflow. No leak as yet.

Great economical nappy
Monday, 3 November 2014  |

If you want to use fitted nappies, but can't afford the expensive ones, these are the ones to go for. They're noticeable more absorbent than the cotton (which quickly get soaked at the back on my little girl), and they haven't matted like my totsbots - must be the clever way they've knitted the fibers - stays really soft and silky,

Like others said, they don't fit to the advertised weight because they're too short, which is a bit of a pity. However, I've never found a size one nappy that does fit to the advertised weight, and this one lasts longer than the others because of the pop in booster (other nappies will still fit, but have such low absorbency that they're not much use after the first couple of months).

The other draw back is the drying time. Even if I had a tumble dryer, I would be too stingy to use up that much electricity just to dry a few nappies (not to mention cost to the environment). However, as long as you have a mix of cotton and bamboo (I also have some flats), you should always have a dry nappy. I think they're still worth 5 stars for the silkiness and absorbency.
