Our Nappy Lady wipes are fantastic quality and value. The washable wipes, or reusable wipes, have terry cotton on one side and a smooth fleece layer on the other. This fabric combination make for a very versatile wipe, offering a suitable surface whatever clean up is needed.

For a pooey nappy the terry side is ideal, as the fabric loops grip the poo for a quick and thorough clean up. The fleece side is ideal for finishing up or wet only nappies as it's so smooth and soft. The fleece side is also perfect to use during teething when skin can become more sensitive. The edges are fully bound making them long lasting.

The wipes are approx 15cm x 20cm, which is a perfect size for clean ups and fully covers your hands. The Nappy Lady wipes are bigger than other best selling brands making them better for Dad's larger hands too!  Each packs contains 10 wipes and full full time use we recommend you have 40 wipes in total.

How To Use Washable Wipes:

You can store the washable wipes in a tupperware box so they are wet and ready to go. As they are used you can put them in the nappy bucket and wash with the nappies (up to 60 degrees). There is no need to dry them when they come out of the wash. Just put them back in the tupperware box, add some more water to make them damp and they're ready again. They won't go stale or stagnant as you'll go through them too quickly. A full time set of 40 wipes will last approx 15-20 nappy changes.

Many people who do not use cloth nappies still use washable wipes, as they are so much kinder on the skin and the pocket.

I have 40 of these to use full time bar out and about and holidays.
I love them, they are thick so you don't feel you're so close to the action if you will, as I have found with disposable wipes. The fleece side stays soft. They're just great.

Much better than disposable wipes that seem to aggravate nappy rash. Quick drying. I tend to leave them dry and just use water then use another one to dry baby's bottom. Fleecy side much kinder on skin and has saved me a lot in using cotton balls on newborn.

I have had 3 children and use the same washable wipes for all of them, only ever had to replace about 5. So I had no hesitation in purchasing for my sister as mine are still in use at 8 years old. When they were very small I used to leave them in camomile tea in a reusable wipe box ready for each nappy change. a great product.

Nice to use but pricey
Monday, 22 May 2017  |

I like using reusable wipes with warm water as it is gentle on my baby. These are the only wipes I have used and are fine though I do think you could make your own for a lot less money. They are quite thick which in certain circumstances is good but sometime I still use cotton wool instead for a little more precision! We used these wipes with water from birth but took a little break as they were a bit rough on newborn skin and baby got a rash (I'm sure not just because of these wipes), we used cotton wool for a while which seemed gentler but now are back to these wipes with no problem.

Excellent all arounders
Friday, 7 April 2017  |

I bought some cheaper wipes elsewhere, but didn't find them fit for purpose for poo, so they were relegated to face wipes after meals. These are the only wipes you'll need to buy. Fluffy, sturdy, soft, and they do the job to get rid of the most stubborn poo very well or to wipe little hands or faces. So far they've washed and dried very well and the stitching seems to be holding up well.

I bought a pack of ten to boost my existing wipes (cheeky wipes) but they don't match up to them. They are larger, but I don't find that much of a help. I find the fleece side doesn't dry well as suggested. I tend to go straight for my cheeky wipes instead.

We love these wipes
Sunday, 3 July 2016  |

We didn't get these initially because washable wipes seemed a step too far, but the first time I changed a nappy out of the house I realised how weird it felt to be keeping the nappy but throwing away the wipes. We got these and have never looked back. They are so much easier to use than commercial wet wipes - I always ended up pulling several out each time but with these wipes it's easy just to take one and they are so large and sturdy you only need one for a wet nappy. For a dirty nappy we usually use two; never more than three. Washing them is as easy as washing the nappies.

At home we keep a few pre-wetted. We submerge them in water and then wring them a bit so they are wet/damp, and then keep them in a clear plastic bag (in fact, an empty Boots cotton wool bag) next to the changing mat. We keep a dry one for drying baby off after wiping him down. When out of the house we use the Cheeky Wipes Out & About bag which is perfect for them.

We bought 40, but we've actually only used 30 which is plenty (washing every other day). I've held back the other 10 for wiping hands and face when he starts eating food...

Fab wipes that save both money and time!
Monday, 20 June 2016  |

Before my LO was born I decided that I would use muslins as nappies until he was big enough for re-usables and then added these wipes to my order because Nappy Lady recommended them on my advice letter. Unfortunately the muslins as nappies didn't work out but these wipes were brilliant from the beginning. Even with a tiny newborn these were never any trouble to wash, they just went in with his clothes and muslins (everything went on a 60 in those first few weeks). Having thought these might be a step too far, especially for my husband, they turned out to be an unexpected success and I honestly don't know what I would have done without them! I once forgot them and had to use a free sample pack of wipes that I had in the change bag. It was a disaster, they just slid over his poo and didn't take any of it off despite using most of the pack (while I worried about the chemicals!). Thank goodness I was at a children's centre and they had cotton wool! I tend to use two for a poo with any (rare) marks left after washing being removed with a bit of sunshine, and I pop some vinegar as a softener in the final rinse. I always use a bowl of warm water so haven't got round to using any of the recipes and I wet them under a tap when we're out. My brother-in-law has his eye on them for car cleaning when I'm finished with them but they're far too good for that!

I have been looking to get rid of all disposable wipes etc in my home and these have been a fantastic investment. Brilliant for my daughter who is prone to getting eczema as I can make up my own potion to keep them in.

These are completely essential for life wiith a baby and beyond. They are so versatile and can be used for bottom and face, and for wiping things generally. They wash like a dream, coming out spotless despite being used for grotty breastfed poo. As an added bonus, even my husband loves them, and finds them easier to use on dirty bottoms than wipes or cotton pads, as they are textured, so allow grub to stick to them so easily. A perfect product!

Very handy wipes
Thursday, 3 March 2016  |

I love these wipes. They wash well and dry quickly. I've used them after opening some very dirty nappies and they have not stained so far. The fleece side stays soft too which is lovely for delicate bottoms. Only thing I would say is that the site recommends buying 5 packs (40 wipes in total) to give you enough wipes in between washes but I have found that so far I have only needed about 3 1/2 packs. That said I do have a breastfed newborn (now 6 weeks) and the aftermath of a dirty nappy is still very runny so easy enough to clean up with just the one wipe. More may be needed for older babies and toddlers.

Given that we're using reusable nappies, it makes so much sense to use reusable wipes too as you can just chuck it all into the nappy bucket at the end of a change. We keep some wet for wiping up and some dry for patting dry- works really well.

I bought a load of these as with baby#2 I am going for reuseable wipes as well as nappies. They are decent thickness and material seems good quality. I like the fleece side, v useful. Seemed a better option than some branded ones. Bit rough around the edges, but doesnt affect functionality and given their destination irrelevant!!

these are a great alternative to disposable wipes, as they handle easily, are soft on baby and wash/dry quickly with the nappies. I love the size and that I've got 40 of them--I end up using them for quick cleanups (neck gunk, spit up, etc) but don't have to worry about having enough for nappy changes. We took the Nappy Lady's advice and keep them wet with a sprinkle of lavender which makes changing time a little more pleasant for everyone!

I love these reusable wipes. They are good for the environment, create no rubbish, gentle for to the skin and have so many uses. I have found myself using them daily for the past 4 years. From wiping a baby's bottom, using as a washcloth, covering a baby boy's parts when removing a nappy to avoid accidents to using as a face wipe when weaning and as a reusable napkin for a toddler. I recommend them!

Better than disposable wipes
Monday, 27 October 2014  |

I got through half a pack of disposable wipes the first night I had my baby. Half a pack! Once I got home I got these washables in action & they're just brilliant. Soooo much better than flimsy disposables. You can get a pooey bottom shiny with just one wipe usually. Two tops. East to wash. No point drying them. My baby hates the cold of wipes so I take a bowl of hot water in to the nursery with me to change him so he gets a lovely warm-towel-like experience. The chamomile tea & honey recipe is gorgeous too but I can't do that & get his wipes warm so sadly had to give that up. Keep contemplating making up s thermos though... when I get a minute..!

Bottom line. I washed Bauer about buying these, thinking doing washable nappies is enough and wipes as well are a step too far. You won't need to use so many wipes for them to affect your washing load. Lob them in with the nappies. You won't regret it

Perfect wipes
Thursday, 9 October 2014  |

I bought these after using cloth nappies for a couple of weeks as I was easing myself into using reusables. I was impressed by the good reviews they had been given on the site and was not disappointed. The terry side is great for wiping off poo and gets lots in one wipe, then the fleece side is lovely and soft for doing a final clean-up. I keep about 10 at a time in a plastic container and moisten them with camomile tea as suggested and they are great. They're handy as little wipes for when a little bit of milk comes back up too.

I love these wipes! I had been using cheeky wipes but after a year's full time use they were pretty threadbare. These are much thicker and I think will last longer. They are also bigger so you need fewer wipes per dirty nappy. I also have a set for using in the kitchen, much nicer than throwing away usual kitchen cloths which wear out so quickly.

I find these are great at cleaning my baby's wet and dirty nappies. I've only been using them 3 weeks so far, but find the soft side works well with the runny poo, I very rarely use the rougher terry side but think it will come in useful when baby is older and needs a bit more of a clean! I only use water so far, but may try using some of the 'recipes' when my baby is a little older.

Simple and Effective
Thursday, 12 June 2014  |

These wipes are great - so much better than the useless, flimsy, chemical disposable ones. In cloth nappies baby gets much wetter, so you need to wash the whole bum area each time, and these are so much more effective than ordinary cotton wash cloths.

The fleece side is wonderfully soft and gets baby really clean with just water alone. I haven't used the terry side so much as newborn poo is very runny. The terry gets quite hard and rough in a hard water area, so if this is a worry to you you might want to try the bamboo ones instead.

At the moment I have about 20 wipes and a few cotton ones I use if baby is just a little wet. I find this lasts about two days as I only need two wipes for a really messy nappy with a newborn.

The best thing about reusable wipes is that they get your baby really clean and you can choose what goes on baby's bum - just water works fine. And it's an easy way of saving money.

My most recent purchase of these wipes was as a present for a friend with a new baby. I have had my set of 40 for just under a year now and they remain a vital part of my son's nappy experience! Just one wipe will clean a very messy bot (i use the towelling side to start and then fold it over to finish off with the fleece) and protect your hands from the poo. He had such sensitive skin and will often react to disposable wipes, however, with these and a chamomile tea and lavender oil solution his bot is happy.
