Used during daytime after lanolising twice. Seems to work. No leaks over fitted nappies. Keeps baby warm in winter. Recommend as lanolising is easier than i first thought.

First wool cover - converted Thursday, 4 February 2021 | Bethan
The wool cover is easy to use, and very comfortable for baby to wear over her bulky night nappy. The Nappy Lady has some clear instructions on how to lanolise - we would recommend lanolin rather than the disana conditioner. And you definitely need to lanolise before first use!
Will buy more wool wraps as baby grows!

Disana Woolen Soakers are amazing quality. Lanolised 3 times and was ready for use. They are the best solution for night time for us. Amazing service The Nappy Lady.

This was my first ever try of using a wool wrap. The instruction video on how to wash an lanolize from the website was super helpful and it worked really well. Nappy fits so well and has made night time so much easier. I bought the medium for my skinny yet tall 10 month old. It’s a nice size and it doesn’t leave any marks. Very soft on the skin! Will be getting another one so I can alternate when one is drying. Mine took around 2 days to dry like others have mentioned. Definitely recommend!

Didn't work for me - soggy bottom
Thursday, 17 December 2020 | Kate
These are a delightful pair of woolly pants and look hilarious on my baby - they're also extremely snug! However, they are definitely in no way waterproof, even after lanolinising. I was sceptical but desperate as none of the wraps we have (which we use over the tots bots bamboozle stretch nighttime nappies) really seem to give 100% waterproofing. I guess used over the top of a wrap they help a bit, as they stop the baby getting cold at least (same way a thick jersey keeps you warm even when its raining) but I must say they do not keep the wee in. Sad times!! I was so hopeful!! Maybe I am doing something wrong???

Response:
If they are very snug then this could cause leaks as it will put constant pressure on the wool.

I was a little skeptical about these, but am so pleased we took the plunge and bought a pair! My baby is a heavy wetter and these have been a godsend as a cover for her night nappies. No leaks, self cleaning and super soft. Have just bought another pair!

I got these over pants after a recommendation and am so pleased with them! My 6 month old had been in reusables since birth and nighttimes were getting really fractious. I couldn't shake the feeling she was uncomfortable in her nappy by the way she was constantly wriggling. Since switching to the disana woolen wrap she's been a lot calmer, less wriggly and super cosy now the winter nights are drawing in. They're also so easy to care for by simply airing them out in the day. Big thumbs up!

Perfect, rectified all my night time nappy problems! Monday, 9 November 2020 | Shoney
I've struggled lately with my baby (12m) rolling over onto her front when sleeping and this making the nappy leak on her belly. I used this wool wrap with my existing little lamb nappies with boosting and I've not had a single leak or problem. Must be much comfier too as she wakes up with no sock Mark's etc. Absolutely love it and would use this from birth with any other baby!

Up to now i feel like giving Disana 2 stars only. As the Nappy Lady suggests, the nappy needs to be lanolinised. The first time i followed the nappies instructions very carefully but i had a massive leak the morning after. So i washed the nappy the morning after. Again i followed the advice on how to wash and dry the nappy (i put it on top of the microwave shelves u use to heat food and placed it on my table). The result was that the fabric became sooo big i could have fit in. I tried rewashing it and being gently but nothing. So i put it in the washing machine and used the gentle wool program but it has become felted. To be honest now it is more like the size i need again. I am going to try to lanolise it but i have little hopes. I would recommend not buying this one but buying plastic wraps.
I give the product 2 stars because the wool is nice and soft. But i would not buy it again ever.

We were having a lot of problems with leaking nappies overnight. He wore a bambozle night nappy with multiple boosters. He would always be wet through in the morning. (He does drink a lot and sleep for 12hours).
Using the wool pants instead of the plastic nappy wrap has made a big improvement. It’s not perfect but it’s much better.
You do have to lanosilse them your self even through the pants say you don’t. But it’s easy

They do seem quite small though.

Perfect at night over a little lamb or your choice of fitted. Just make sure your original nappy is absorbent enough. Can be a pain to start with wool but worth it! Much more breathable.

The very best night nappy cover Monday, 27 July 2020 | Katie
We hadn't found any wrap big enough for our chunky thighs and little belly that would also cover his giant night nappies... then we found these. They fit over everything comfortably and the best part they never leak! No need to wash every time, they dry in the day and are ready to use again the next night. Yes you have to think about washing the wool carefully but not very often. Definitely worth it.

I have no idea how it works but it does. My baby wears his for 12+ hours overnight and no leaks or dampness. Do not let lanolising put you off. It's really not that complicated and it only needs doing every few weeks and then it's perfect. The wool is super soft and even cool in the hot weather. As always five star service from The Nappy Lady too.

Absolutely my favourite covers! Using them at night time, nothing goes through! Bought two and I use them alternately, washing maybe about once a month as they do not smell like PUL covers, and they dry so fast if you follow the instructions. Oh, and the colours are just beautiful! Would use them during the day as well as so easy to pull up and down and they look so cute, but I don’t use shaped nappies during the day and baby too wriggly for nippas at 6 months old. Highly recommended! Wool is by far the best cover!

I love the Disana wool cover. I lanolised it despite the instructions onthe nappy and it works brilliantly. I have since made a wool nappy myself but Disana is for sure my favourite. I wish it came in more colours.

I love our woolly pants! We were getting leaks most nights with a variety of wraps but not had one leak since started using wool 3 weeks ago. They are so easy to put on and really soft on little ones legs so no marks at all unlike lots of others wraps we've tried. I'll definitely be purchasing more.

Fantstic - Far better than any plastic wrap! Saturday, 18 April 2020 | Leanne
Don't be put off by the lanolising process! It's simpler than making a cup of tea.
I started using these on my 1yr over a bamboozle with Little Lamb tripple bamboo booster or Petit Lulu night nappy and I am totally converted. No matter the plastic wrap make I tried they often leaked and left sore looking sock marks - this is no longer a problem! The wool is super comfortable and I haven't had a leak yet. No daily washing either - a month on and only starting to think it might need a wash soon.
A cheaper option too as you only need 1/2 at any one time. Should have converted to wool much earlier!

Really good alternative to plastic wraps Monday, 17 February 2020 | Anna
These pants are great. We've only just started using them, so can't comment on how long they last before needing to be lanolised again, but so far so good in terms of comfort and ease of use, as well as being effective.
Also top marks on the eco-friendly packaging they came in.

Wish I'd discovered them sooner! Saturday, 1 February 2020 | Christina
I'd been eyeing up a wool wrap for a while before I took the plunge. It turned out to be a great decision and I just wish I'd done it sooner!
It took a couple of goes with the Disana wool shampoo to get fully lanolised, but it's now working brilliantly and starting to felt nicely in the crotch area, just through normal wear. My boy wears it in the daytime over a Terry nappy, essentially as a pair of shorts (with legwarmers for cold days). I love the look of it with a pair of knee high socks! For a younger baby I'd probably choose a shaped nappy underneath, for the sake of containment.
I love the simplicity of it, and the lanolising turned out to be pretty straightforward too. I'm totally sold and will definitely be back for more.

Great! But I’ve destroyed 3 pairs 😩 Friday, 20 December 2019 | Amy
I bought one pair to try and was really impressed so ordered another two. Not sure how I’ve done this, probably baby brain, but I’ve managed to shrink them in the washing machine on my wool cycle. I thought I’d lowered the temp to 30 (for some reason my wool cycle is set to 40) now I have three tiny pairs!! Absolutely gutted. Because of the time it takes to prepare them I’ve now been using disposables for a month longer than I wanted to. Because of my silly mistake it will now be another 2 weeks until I can start using washables again. My baby gets a terrible rash from any plastic style wrap. A great wrap, just be vigilant with washing temp, probably best to do 20deg. I really thought I’d hit 30deg button?!

Found it a bit confusing as the nappy lady recommends lanolising but when the product came it said on the packaging that there was no need to lanolise. I lanolised anyway but not sure I’ve done it properly. Anyway it’s brilliant the nights that it’s worked. Other nights it’s been a bit damp in the morning but still lasted all night. I’d recommend.

We really love these. Our daughter gets terrible nappy rash from teething, and this was recently exacerbated by a bad reaction to some bambino mio liners (not bought from this site!). Her rash kept getting worse, and nothing seemed to help. It eventually calmed down of its own accord, but using these wraps at nighttime definitely made a difference and she hasn't had a rash since. We were using mother ease airflow overnight anyway, which are much more breathable than most wraps, but even so the difference with these is huge. I do find them get smelly pretty quickly - she is almost 2 and has very strong smelling wee, especially when teething (which is pretty much always at the moment). But really a minor issue in the scheme of things. Just wished we tried these sooner - they are really good value for money and weirdly cute too. Just about to buy some more....

I love these for nights, they are so easy to use, completely cover the nappy at all times and we've never had any leaks. A lot of people say to lanolise before first use but I didn't and we have been using them for a few weeks now without washing. Perfect!

Really enjoying our new wool wrap, been using about 3 weeks now and I’ve lanolised once a week so far. The last one seems to have really taken, I think it just takes a few goes to build up. Never had any leaks from the start and the wool is really soft on babies skin, not itchy at all and also no marks on her skin in the morning!
I have another in my basket ready to order we love them so much.
I went for XL for my 7 month old girl who is on 95th centile for height and weight.
We use the wool over a L Bamboo Sandy with L Sandys Bamboo Booster next to skin and a Stuffie between nappy and booster folded in the ‘wet zone’.
So glad I took the plunge to try, they really are magic!

Soft and perfect for nights! Wednesday, 21 August 2019 | Kimberley
These covers are so soft and look so comfortable on my 10 week old baby. We use these for nights over a Tots Bots bamboozle and they are fantastic! I only had to lanolise this cover once before use and got around 3 weeks of constant nightly use out of it before having to lanolise again. I am planning to place another order for one of these again soon. I ordered the medium which fits my 15lbs baby perfectly with plenty of growing room still. Highly recommend!

We use pocket nappies in the day and needed a night nappy. These are fab, she is 5 months and doesn't poop at night so these are very low maintenance. She's dry and none wrinkly after 12 hours and the nappies haven't smelt at all. They are bulky so sleepsuits and vest have been difficult to get but worth it. Def my. Favourite nappy. No plastic, and I don't worry about leaks as you can't really put it on wrong so I don't have to check it like the pocket nappies. We have 2 which has been perfect for nights as they take a while to dry when lanolise as you have to lay them flat.

Soft, well fitting and effective Saturday, 2 March 2019 | Justyna
Wonderful wool pants excellent for overnight. Never leak for us and are comfy for baby with a high rise and wide leg elastics and soft finish. They seem pretty thick and dry slowly but are very effective and waterproof. I'd use on a baby of any age including newborn, this wool is so lovely for their skin.

the softest, most comfortable covers Friday, 7 December 2018 | Ana
I have been wearing Disanas as my baby's night covers since he was a week old, rotating between three small and two medium ones (which also fit my almost 4kg newborn). They are truly comfortable, especially in comparison with those tight newborn and OS pul covers that leave red marks on his legs and back! They do come out a bit moist in the wet zone with every change, but still I never had any leaks. Even though the washing and lanolizing process may seem a bit much, I only had to do it after 2 weeks, a pretty reasonable interval in my opinion. Goes without saying that they are also the softest, cutest covers out there. Can't praise Disanas enough!

These are lovely wool shorts, very soft and comfortable, and well made. Definitely more breathable than PUL wraps, which meant my son's nappies didn't get quite as sodden overnight. They do need a lanolin treatment before first use (up to 3 is recommended for full waterproofing), despite what the label says!

Life changing! Love love love Monday, 16 July 2018 | Melanie
These covers have changed my life. I was starting to go insane when my son was waking up drenched every morning and after each nap, but that all changed when I found these covers! At first I didn’t believe wool would work and the covers were so big I thought of returning them, but I tried them and was instantly impressed. They were the precise barrier I needed to keep his clothes dry even with a soaking wet diaper beneath. It took me a little while to master the washing and lanolizing process (I destroyed 2 covers through trial and error), but I’m now a pro and don’t find it any more difficult than washing any other laundry.
These covers don’t absorb and won’t prevent leaks, so you need enough absorbency in the diaper alone for your child, but these covers do a superb job of keeping moisture from wicking into cotton clothes, sheets, sofas, rugs, you name it! When PUL begins to fail you, this natural everlasting alternative is definitely the way to go!

This is lovely and soft, I use it for overnight over a terry square so my boy has a break from elastic (and because he rarely poos overnight). It's breathable and his skin is pristine in the mornings. I had a couple of leaks when it was new, once I'd lanolised again (the instructions say you don't need to, but it worked better for me once I had) and sorted out a different terry fold so there were no thin bits for wee to flood through, it's worked perfectly. I've been surprised a few mornings at how wet his nappy was as the wool was so dry outside, it really does work. No smells after hanging up all day it's ready to use again.

Work brilliantly but enormous Thursday, 8 March 2018 | Rachel
We bought this two fit my 18 month old. We sized it up as per the recommendations and they are enormous! We now need to purchase smaller ones. We tried them without lanolising as recommended on the label but they leaked. Once they were lanolised we have had no issues. It’s truly magical that the nappy undneath can be soaked and containing a poo and once the wrap come off it doesn’t smell of anything other than sheep. Very happy to find a breathable organic nighttime wrap.

I had seen these recommended on a few blogs and so a few weeks into using hand-me-down disposables, and enjoying them, I decided to splash out on two pairs. They. Are. Amazing. I had already purchased some solid lanolin from The Nappy Lady so I did do a treatment to start with. Easy to dry, (roll up in a towel and press out the water, then they dry very quickly). They do look large on my 6 week newborn! But I really really like them. It's easy to tell if she's wet, as you can feel the 'cold/damp' through the clothes. It's had some poo on it, and it was easy to wash off and dry. The most noticeable thing is nappy rash. Using PUL covers meant that it was a hot, humid, sweaty nappy each time, but the wool in this design means her bottom can breath. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I bought one pair of these a few months ago, and came back for a second one a few weeks ago. They are amazing. They take a few weeks to get fully lanolised (really do think 3 treatments is probably the magic number, but with both of ours I just did it once a week for the first 3 weeks and accepted that there could be some dampness in the morning at first). Once they are fully treated and felted a bit (haven't consciously felted them, just from washing and use), they are "bombproof". They are so soft, and seem more comfortable than any PUL wrap, though you can get the same spectacular overnight results with the Motherease Airflow, this seems kinder to the skin since wool breathes throughout. They take a long time to dry (1-2 days), but, again, once lanolised, they only need washing once a month unless they've been pooed on.

Been meaning to get round to knitting some woolies for my 11 month old, but obviously didn't quite manage it. These are a great intro, work really well. We use a bamboo terry square with 2/3 bamboo boosters and the outside is dry after 13 hours (overnight). Once we had under boosted and in the morning when she was standing she peed and it came straight thru- but an absorption problem not a wooly one! Also, great in the hot weather with nothing else on!

I was a bit sceptical that wool would be any use as a wrap for my six month olds nappy at night but low and behold it works! I would definitely advise lanolising the wrap three times as I did it only once and it didn't perform as well as it should. Definitely give this product a try and be brace you won't regret it.

I was a bit sceptical about this working but actually it's brilliant. I bought as my LO's legs were getting chaffed at night with her airflows and she also gets a sore bottom. Since using this wrap there has been no more chafing and her bottom is lovely and clear. The nappy I use is well boosted and I have never had a leak or damp night clothes.
