Made from sustainably-sourced wood, the Tearmann Playstand makes a perfect addition to any playroom. Used singly or in pairs, Tearmann allows you to create a magical space where your child can play and explore! It combines useful toy and book storage with a truly open-ended play experience that fires up little imaginations.

Please note the Tearmann is not a climbing toy and has been designed to actively discourage climbing.

Made from Birch plywood and engineered redwood dowels sourced from FSC\PEFC-certified suppliers.

Sawdust & Rainbows made their own colours so sometimes they do vary batch to batch.

They are finished using water-based, toy-safe paints made in the UK, and have been CE, UKCA, ASTM, CCPA and ISO tested.

A family-run business based in rural Northern Ireland, Sawdust & Rainbows manufactures activity toys that appeal to kids’ natural curiosity and desire to explore their surroundings, while allowing them to do this in a safe, supported way. We never tire of seeing the joy on little ones’ faces when they master a new skill such as cruising or climbing, and our toys are designed to help them grow in both physical ability and confidence, while having the best fun ever!

Sustainable Future

Environmental values are at the heart of everything we do.  We’re passionate about safeguarding our planet for future generations and therefore we hold ourselves and our suppliers to high standards on sustainability.  All our timber is sourced from FSC or PEFC certified suppliers.  We work hard to ensure that we generate minimal wastage during the manufacturing process, and any offcuts we do create are recycled.  We also use planet-friendly, water-based paints and we ship our products in recycled cardboard boxes with no plastic packaging, using carbon neutral courier services where possible.

Giving back to the planet

As well as sourcing all our timber from sustainable forestry sources, we’re giving back to the planet through our partnership with Just One Tree – which means that for every sale of our Wee’UN, Finn, Slide and Tearmann, a tree is planted.
