Nappy Overview

Thirsties Natural All in One is a natural option and simple to use. The nappy fastens with poppers so no worries about older children learning to undo velcro. The nappy provides a one piece, trim fit nappy and offers gentle elastic around the legs and waist to protect against leaks.

Sizing

Thirsties Natural All In One is a birth to potty nappy thats designed to fit from 8-40lbs.

How do I use it?

Thirsties Natural All in one must be  prewashed before first use. Thirsties recommend it is washed and dried at least 3 times to remove the natural oils in the nappy fibres.  These washes should be done separately from your other nappy items so that the oils can't get on other items  Hemp/Cotton blend will reach full absorbency after 10 washes, so just change a little more frequently between washes 3 - 10.

Important notes:
These are super absorbent nappies so make sure you use enough water to soak and cover the diapering items and allow them to agitate.

Please avoid the following practices and/or additives that can void the warranty on your Thirsties products:

  •      Sanitise or HOT Whites cycles on High Efficiency machines. Maximum wash temperature is 60deg
  •      Avoid Pure Soap
  •      Avoid Routine use of Bleach

Nappy Fabric

The nappy is super thirsty and contains 11 thirsty layers of natural fibres. Which are described below. The booster pads can be folded so you can position the absorbency just where your baby needs it most.

Inner Absorbency – 2 layers of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton
Inner Soakers – 8  layers of 55% hemp - 45% organic cotton
Outer – 100% polyester with waterproof TPU laminate
Inner Liner – 100% GOTS certified organic cotton

We have been using these nappies for a few months that now and are quite happy with them. However it has leaked a few times and it feels a bit bulky

Super absorbent and slim but very slow to dry

Customer review of free product.

The Thirsties NAIO is a very absorbent nappy, the most absorbent all in one I have used, with almost two parter levels of reliability. Despite this it's lovely and slim - the hemp-cotton mix tongues provide a lot of absorbency without too much bulk.

The downside for me is the very slow drying times, which is the only reason this is not a 5.

Love the print but the nappy itself is really good 😁

We love thirsties NAIOs because they are easy to use, narrower than other nappies and have a good absorbency. Lovely patterns too!

Nice print, but not awkward fitting
Rating:
17 February 2021  |

This was the first cloth nappy I ever tried on my child and I tried it when he was 4.5kg. He could be too early for it, but the fit with the two attached inserts made it very awkward as it did not reach all the way to the back and we ended up having containment issues. I've put it for a rest now and hope to use it again when he is a little chunkier.

Overall, love it for the design but not convince by the overall usage.

The right all-in-one for my tall baby girl
Rating:
15 September 2020  |

Bumgenius never fitted quite right on my 75th centile (weight) and tall baby girl even at just a few months old (To be fair, they’re not bad, but had I paid attention to TNL’s caution on the Bumgenius description and thought about the likelihood of my baby being tall, I might not have bought them). These have been much better In terms of fewer leaks and less of a sock-mark. I’ve encountered fewer leaks than with the Bambino Mio. At 9mo now, baby still has plenty of room to expand. They’re pretty average to dry - not quick, but quicker than the shaped bamboo nappies I use at night. The prints are gorgeous, more cool than cutesie, and I really enjoy the look of my baby girl’s bum in bicycles, musical instruments and so on.

Our 10 mo is a heavy wetter, and these nappies with hemp +cotton inserts are simply great to avoid leaks and explosions. They are also quite slim. One of the best all in one i have tried

Not for us
Rating:
30 July 2020  |

I have 2 Thirsties nappies and they just don't seem to fit my little one. I have been using them for 6 to 13 week old, large (95th percentile) girl.
Plus points, the narrow gusset means they appear much slimmer than other one size cloth nappies, the designs are great and more vibrant than the pictures suggest, and the all in one system means no rummaging in the clean laundry to find the insert.
What didn't work for us:
The cotton inside left crease marks on my LO's bottom which didn't look comfortable, this doesn't happen with the bamboo or minky nappies we have. We got leaks, I don't use these in the morning when I know she is heavy wetter, I don't leave it much more than 2 hrs in the afternoon. They take ages to dry. I am a big fan of all in one systems. At the moment I would rate these as equal to Bumgenius Freetime, where the Freetimes are bulkier, they dry much quicker. Miosolo are one star better for us, they are bulkier but have better absorbancy and dry quicker.

Great all-in-one nappy!

These nappies are a great all-in-one nappy. They have two built-in liners which is great for my 10 month old as he's a 'heavy-wetter'. Fun designs and easy poppers.

Easy Transition To Cloth For 6 Month Old
Rating:
08 July 2020  |

My LG was 6 months old when we started using cloth and these AIOs have made the transition from disposables easy. The poppers are a bit stiff but I find this reasuaring as I don't want my daughter pulling the nappy off when shes older.

Excellent nappy, not my fave print
Rating:
06 June 2020  |

I've found that functionally this nappy is really impressive and I reach for it often. Having the two boosters sewn in just at one end means it's flexible with folding but not too complicated and dries quickly. I don't like the print as much in real life as in the photos, it seems a bit fuzzy but that's just aesthetic!

Nice trim fit on our 5 month old twin boys, they seem to be quite heavy wetters so we fold 1 inner to the front and then lay they other over it unfolded and add a fleece liner. The nappies feel very well made - no flimsy PUL. Prints are lovely in person.

Really good fit on my chubby baba and lasts 3-4 hours. Takes a lot longer to dry than my other AIOs and not a huge fan of the prints.

Thirsties by name, thirsty by nature!

13 May 2020  |

I have only been using this nappy for around a month but so far I’m very happy with it. I bought to add to my stash of all in one nappies and it is the best day time in my stash so far! I can get up to 4 hours with no leaks in the day and have tried it once at night with a booster in (from a tots bots bamboozle) and it lasted overnight(11pm-8am). My son is a very heavy wetter.

Only 2 negative points 1) it really does take ages to dry! At least a whole day so I only get to use it every other day.
2) my son is not even 4 months old yet and I do wonder how long we will be able to use this nappy for. I can’t imagine it taking us to potty as it may not be big enough. He is a very chunky monkey!!

Despite this I really like it and I’m hoping to add a few more to my stash in the not so distant future

Lovely nappy

I really like this nappy. It feels like fantastic quality, it is very easy to use - no stuffing anything! The inner absorbency is loose at one end which helps speed up the drying and it has two strips of absorbent layers which is great for absorbing wee whilst allowing it to dry more quickly. My favourite nappy is the blueberry simplex with this coming a close second. I feel it might be a bit too trim for very chunky babies but is perfect for us.

Perhaps better for a larger baby

I love this napp and the absorbency seems like it has great potential but I hae had a few wee leeks from the front of the leg. It's quite bulky and a bit more rigid than other all in one Nappies, the inner fabric seems to poke out. I'm hoping as my little boys legs get a little bigger the fit will improve

Oh my, seen a review on the nappy lady Facebook group for this nappy and it sounded like what I was looking for. My little one is a heavy wetter and has very chunky thighs, I wanted a nappy for days out and long car journeys that was still reasonably slim . The Natural Thirsties all in one ticked all the boxes, it’s preforms fantastically, fits my little one well, is fantastic quality and added bonus it looks gorgeous. Will definitely be buying another for my nappy stash.

It has a great fit, excellent absorbency, no leaks. Not as slim as the Blueberry simplex and downside is the drying time.

Prefer this to unos!

Love these nappies! The prints are gorgeous, so easy to use and so absorbant. I've really struggled with finding the right nappies as my boy is such a heavy wetter. Most brands will only last 2 hours. We can reliably get 4 hours out of these nappies which is the same as unos for us but the fit of these is much better. The drying time is a pain and they take a lot of washing to reach full absorbancy but I'd happily have a whole stash of these fabulous nappies!

Gorgeous print, very absorbent

Very well put together nappy with lots of absorbency. We got this as an alternative to Bumgenius elementals - in comparison the thirsties nAtural is a bit bulkier and longer than the elemental, and has 2 soakers attached from the back. Dries slower than elemental. Satisfied with the nappy but would choose the elemental over it if it was available

I absolutely love this nappy. It's extremely slim-fittting, highly absorbent and the materials are high quality. Takes a bit longer to dry in winter, but worth it for the reliability and ease of use.
