Disana Pull On Pants Overview

Disana pull on nappy covers are for use over two part nappy systems such as bamboozles or terry squares. Disana are famous for their woollen nappy covers but they also make this PUL option.

While they look like traditional standard plastic pants previous generations would recognise Disana pull up wraps are NOT AT ALL the same.

How are Disana pull on pants different to plastic pants?

Original traditional plastic nappy pants which we wore as babies were so impermeable that not only liquids, but also vapour could not escape, and air could not reach baby's skin. A hot, humid atmosphere develops, and fungal rashes and sore skin are inevitable.

Disana's microfiber nappy wraps are entirely different. To create them, a knitted synthetic fibre fabric is covered with a fine, microporous layer of rubber. The pores in this layer of rubber are so small that liquids cannot pass through, but vapour can escape and air can get into the nappy. Thus, the microfiber nappy wrap stays leakproof and baby's skin can breathe freely.

Fastening

Elasticated waist and legs make these easy to pull on.

Sizing

The sizing is VERY generous on these wraps and the rise very deep. These will fit over virtually any nappy  The XL is larger than the Motherease Airflow XL which is our other bigger wrap.

Big pants

These come up huge! But still work well.

Functional

This isn't the most beautiful nappy in the world, and ours had a little flaw in the waistband, but... it works. It's large enough even for older kids. It looks massive, even compared to the Motherease airflow XL, but we haven't had any leaks with our (fairly small) only-just-three year old.

The one negative we've had is the occasional complaint in the morning that it was a bit hurty (maybe the leg elastics?), but there are no visible marks and he only mentions it as the nappy is being taken off.

It's entered our regular rotation for night time. I'd probably buy an XL airflow given the choice, but it's definitely a contender as a slightly cheaper alternative.

Great for skinny legs

One of my twins has very skinny little legs and no matter how I do up nappies there is always a bit of leg gape. Not with these though

Perfect buy

I must say this is a good buy! I shall be buying more. Its containment is magnificent when used with a Little Lamb bamboo night nappy and my son feels cool enough in them.

Worked well first use

Worked great first use. Had to wash it and despite going by label instructions, it discoloured and also the leg elastic tightened (did not use tumble dryer). Next time I used it the elastic cut into my son’s thighs so much a mark was visible all the next day. I’m afraid it’s not for kids with big thighs once washed and the leg holes shrink! No leaks though

Not gorgeous but does the job

I thought this nappy cover looked massive and a bit strange when it arrived but it actually does the job well and fits under my 15mo clothes no problem. Haven't had any leaks yet 👌

Does what's it's design for

It is a decent wrap. Not very pretty but it has its retro charm. It also does its job - no leaks. Unfortunately the leg holes are to small for our baby's legs and he's getting red marks and little chafing. We're keeping the wraps as a backup but it won't be our first choice in the future.

Good value, seem comfy, do a great job

These do a great job, haven't had any wee or poo leaks. (Using over totsbots bamboozles)
We got the medium size for my six month old, and they did look enormous out of the packet, but once on, they fit just fine. I think they're designed to leave lots of airflow around the nappy for more breathability.
I was concerned about the elastic leg and waistbands as I have a very chubby baby (lots of thigh rolls!). But they haven't left nasty marks on him at all. Again I think as they're designed to leave a gap between nappy and wrap, the leg band sits further down his thigh closer to the knee, so it doesn't cut into his chunky bits

Not so pretty to look at as some fancy wraps, but they do have a quaint cuteness to them - once on, they look like old-fashioned bloomers ^__^ and to be fair, they will be under clothes. Plus, they are less bulky and more soft/flexible than other wraps, so the clothes you put over will probably fit better.

This is the only wrap (XL) that now fits our 5 year old who still needs nappies at night. Easy to pull on and off too.

These fit perfectly over my 4 1/2 year old's big fat overnight nappy. They are comfortable and they wash and dry really well.

Large on a 5 month

We ran out of clean wraps for the bamboozles so all that was left was the toddlers wrap and though it’s huge the elastic is fine on the legs and tummy (bubba isn’t that chubby) and the extra space is fine and so much easier than the rikkies as they just pull on, would definitely get a couple more!

Ordered a medium for my 17lb baby to go over the bamboozle stretch with extra booster at night. It's massive though so won't be using for a long long time
