Bright Bots Trainer Pants are cotton terry pants in a Y-front design, in 7 colours . The centre portion has foam wadding over a plastic lining, hidden inside the cotton terry. Available in M (approx 18 months, slim build), L (approx 2 years, solid build to 3 years, slim build) and XL (approx 3 years, solid build).

Select your choice of colour in the comments section on your order: fire engine red, navy blue, emerald green, bright orange, bright yellow, dusky pink (a really nice one, not a Barbie pink) and deep purple.

Designed to stop a flood if "caught short", they will not hold a full wee or withstand being sat on when wet. However, they will prevent trousers etc getting wet, if an accident happens on the way to the toilet.

These pants are really smart and most children love them, even when they no longer need to wear them. As such, they are a big incentive to toilet train.

If you find your child is not quite ready for them, they can be worn with your existing waterproof wrap or pant over the top, to protect furniture and carpets.

Perfect for the child who is basically dry but maybe prone to leaving the toilet dash to the last possible moment (or beyond!). Saves lots of changes of outer clothes.

Sizings on the Bright Bots are a little vague if in doubt go up a size.

Small - 12-16mths, Waist = 52cm, Height = 84cm

Medium - 2 - 2.5yrs slight build, Waist = 54cm, Height 92cm

Large - 2yrs chunky build or 3 year slight build, Waist = 55cm, Height 100cm

X-Large -2.5yrs chunky build  Waist = 56cm, Height = 108cm

We've not used them as much as we thought, but nice to have extra back up. Very snug fit on my small toddler, but guess they need to be to a avoid a small leak. Bought a variety of colours and sizes and happy with them all.

No good for overnight
Tuesday, 6 June 2017  |

I bought these to use overnight for occasional accidents instead of nappies. They did the job of appearing like pants to him and therefore being accepted (he will not wear nappies). They're also comfortable and easy enough for him to pull up and down.

But, the wee seeps straight out if he has an accident in bed.

I think they might just about catch a very small daytime wee but we've not tried them for that.

Service from nappy lady was excellent.

Response:

yes these are NOT suitable for night times unless you put a separate waterproof layer over the top. These are designed for the last minute dash to the toilet. For nights for LIGHT wetters try the totsbots trainer pants.

Great pants, great price
Tuesday, 13 September 2016  |

I bought these for my 2 year old as she was generally doing well at potty training but occasionally didn't quite make it to the potty in time so I thought these would save on lots of clothes changes or be useful when out and about. They do exactly what I hoped they would and catch a small dribble if needed (they wouldn't hold a full wee though!). My little girl is petite, although over 2 she is only in 18-24m clothes (but only for the length, she'd get away with 12-18m in the waist!) and the large is snug around her waist and legs so probably wouldn't suit a chunkier child. They are very good, but I've given 4 stars instead of 5 just for the sizing.

Very good concept for maintaining toddlers confidence by wearing pants, while at the same time suppressing accidents.

Lovely Pants
Tuesday, 14 June 2016  |

These pants are great for when you're out with potty training toddlers who tend to leak a little bit before making it to the toilet. Don't expect them to hold an entire wee for any great length of time though. It's just for a bit of extra security at times. The reason I have given 4 stars is because you have to wash them at 20 degrees which is a bit annoying when is usually wash at 30-40 and 60 for a nappy wash. Especially because my girl often poos her pants lately, I would rather be able to wash them at a hotter temperature.

Great training pant
Friday, 1 April 2016  |

My daughter loves wearing these and they work brilliantly as a training pant. Definitely go up a size as recommended - she is very petite but the medium fits well.
4 stars because they lose their softness very quickly.

a must have for potty training
Wednesday, 18 November 2015  |

I have recommended these training pants to every mummy I know. They are lovely quality and hold 1 wee long enough to change trousers, luckily my little boy has only had one accident in these so far but they give us confidence when out and about. They are quite small in size, I got xl for my 2.3 month old boy and they fit perfectly. The colours are bright and fun and the material is so soft, they also wash really well. Fantastic product.

Great but on the small side
Monday, 16 November 2015  |

Great training pants that are handy when going out and a few dribbled escape before you get to the toilet. However, I bought a large size for my just turned 2 year old and they are tight round the legs so she is unable to pull them up/down herself. Definitely go up a size!

Colourful, just right amount of absorbency
Friday, 25 September 2015  |

I bought 5 more pairs of these for my youngest son, in different colours, to add to my supply left over from my first son. We now have every colour of the rainbow! They are brilliant for potty training as they are proper pants in fun colours, but the towelling inner and waterproof hidden layer means they will absorb an accident enough for it not to make a puddle on the floor (unless it's a really big wee) which is great when you have carpets. They do soak through as they aren't supposed to be like disposable pull ups, but I'd say the amount of absorbency was spot on. They say to wash them cool and not to tumble dry, but I'm afraid I chuck ours in the nappy bucket to soak, wash them on 40 or 60 depending on how soiled and even tumble dry them on rainy days, and they are fine.

Just what I was looking for!
Wednesday, 12 August 2015  |

These trainer pants are just perfect for starting potty training. I use them at home, when I know I can bring baby to the potty every hour and he is super cute with these on. When purchasing consider that they run quite small. I took a small for my 40th percentile 8months old baby and they fitted just right. I am going to purchase a medium size soon.

I cannot really comment on these pants as they are too big at the moment (I didn't even need to try them on my daughter) and my daughter is now potty-trained so will not be wearing these at all.

Good pants
Thursday, 30 July 2015  |

These are great. My boy likes wearing his pants and I can see quickly if he has an accident and they hold enough wee to avoid trouser changing. He can pull them up, down is a bit harder.
I wouldn't use them if unable to have regular toilet checks.
He's a small 2 year old so I got a mix of medium and large. One fits well the other is easier for him to pull up and down.

Large size too small and a very warm product
Monday, 9 March 2015  |

The material is soft but very warm! Would not recommend during summer. My son is 3yrs old about 14kg and I bought the large size. My son is slim built, and it's too tight at the legs. It is truly only suitable for few dribbles as it said - but for that I think it's too warm. Don't see the purpose. I bought it to try during the night in order to encourage my son to wake up if he needs to pee. Way too warm to sleep in.

Response:

The trainer pants have a waterproof layer but are fully breathable much more so than disposable trainer pants/nappies which contain plastic. These are only suitable for daytime unless little one is dry at night and it's very occassionally wakes in the night and can't reach the toilet in time. in this case put a motherease wrap over the top.

Worked a dream
Wednesday, 3 September 2014  |

We had already tried normal knickers but these seemed to give our 2 year old the extra confidence needed to leave nappies behind. We're still having a few accidents but there's not as much to clean up with these as cotton knickers and she seems very confident wearing them. Very pleased!

I purchased these excellent trainer pants for my Grandson. Although they will not stem a full flood (!) they are thick enoughto give protection against initial small leaks before getting to the potty and they look good, making him feel 'grown up'.

Does exactly as it says on the tin! these are great for toddlers such as my daughter who barring the occasional accidents, has cracked wees but not poos, far better and less messy at containing them then normal pants, and easier for little ones to pull up and down.

Provides a bit of extra security when going out, and seem very comfy. Plastic bit doesn't go all the way around, so accidents do happen, although my tot does seem to do giant wees!

Great pants
Tuesday, 4 February 2014  |

We used it a few times when we are out and about. It does hold wee and poo just enough to take you little one to the toilet to change. Sizes are a bit strange, I got large and medium and have fairly skinny 2.5 years old, both sizes fit him well, but it does look like medium size gives him an itch, may be it is a bit too tight. Pants are quite thick so it is fine in a colder weather, I am it sure if they are going to be as comfortable in the summer.

Secondary use!
Saturday, 21 September 2013  |

I have these to potty train my 25 month with, I do find I still get puddles even if changed immediately but this is possibly because she drinks loads! However my 12 month old has awful nappy rash at the moment and I've been using these on him to catch the wee. As they do smaller wees at this age I'm not getting any puddles (but am changing immediately) but find its airing his rash with minimal risk to my furnishings! He is a big 12 month old (98th centile height, 75th centile weight) but the large ones are fitting him just fine!

These have been great for late stage potty training, when you need a bit more reassurance that accidents will be minimised. Contrary to some comments they held most wees, and did hold a poo when she got caught short. Feel like 'real' pants, so good confidence boost too. Much better than pull up nappies!

Very good quality product, keep one accident, even two sometime. My son even did poo in it! No problem. I bought small size for my 25 month old son, he is skinny boy. Perfect fit. Only problem that my son doesn't care when it is wet! Very rarely he will point the accident

Pretty and Colourful
These pants are colourful, absorb a leakage and let the toddler know (s)he's wet. My toddler was more likely to leak into these than normal pants, probably due to the feeling of padding.

I bought several pairs of these for potty training my son. They are really handy for when we go out in case of accidents they manage to contain little accidents but not a full wee. The bright colours are fab they are on the small size for my toddlers chunky legs though and he does struggle to pull them down in a hurry

these are comfy, easy to wash and like pants rather than training pants, only not giving perfect score as I would like them to have a little more absorbency, even though they are listed as not being the highest absorbency.

Superb, funky, training pants
Thursday, 2 May 2013  |

I purchased these in a range of funky colours for my son, who adores his "special pants", and loves choosing which colour to wear! They are well made and the invisible waterproof lining means there is plenty of time to get to the potty in case of accidents. Poo contaimnet is good too. They will not, however, hold an entire wee, so are best used during waking hours. I'm using these for daytime with the flip trainer pants for sleeptime/long journeys, I would highly recommend the two as a winning combination. My only criticism of the bright bots is that you can't wash at a high temp (the label says 20 though I am successfully washing them at 40 with only minimal shrinkage).

Fab training pants
Monday, 11 March 2013  |

We bought these when my daughter started potty training, and have been brilliant! They look just like Big Girl Pants (we have some pink ones) but slightly more padded, and provide that little bit of reassurance for daytime naps and car journeys. I have found the hidden waterproof inner contains an accident very well - the outer is completely dry yet daughter knows she has done a wee.

I found other training pants have a bit of extra absorbency but no waterproofing, so these stand out as being more practical. They are a little more bulky than pants/knickers and do crinkle slightly, but daughter is still convinced they are 'pants' not 'nappies' so evidently not a problem!

Love these - great colours, great fit, well-made and contain surprisingly well when accidents do happen!
