Fleece Liners are 100% polyester fleece (similar to fine clothing fleece, not sheep fleece!), providing an effective stay dry layer as well as a poo catcher. Wash at 60 with the nappies. Please note that fleece does need to be prewashed a couple of times, otherwise liquid runs off it rather than through it.

Let me tell you a bit about the event which converted me to fleece liners, having always been pretty sceptical when others raved about them:
I flew to Orkney with my first son, and he did not do his usual morning poo before we left (normally as regular as clockwork), so we had it hanging over us like the Sword of Damocles all morning.  At Gatwick, I changed him again, in case he had sneakily done it en route - no poo.  By the time we got to Aberdeen, he finally decided to perform, at which point I realised I had used my only spare nappy and the rest were on the plane.  The nappy itself had plenty more capacity for wee - the only problem was the dirty liner.  However, luckily I had put on a fleece liner rather than a flushable one. I say 'luckily' because fleece has the following huge advantages:

Being quite large, it covers the whole nappy area, and so poo is far less likely to even hit the nappy in the first place (with paper liners, they can tend to move out of the firing line once baby is old enough to wriggle).

Being quite thick, no staining goes through to the nappy once your baby is weaned.  This means that if your child poos in a fresh nappy, you can just replace the fleece. You couldn’t really do this with a flushable liner.  Also, this protects the nappy somewhat from the curry stains a pre-weaning breastfed baby is so fond of producing.

Being 100% polyester, the liner is completely non-absorbent, and so provides an effective stay-dry layer. Not essential by any means, but parents seem to like it, and it is certainly nice to keep a very wet night nappy at bay.  It also cleans easily and dries immediately, so on our trip to Orkney I was able to drop the poo into the loo, hand wash the fleece and wring it dry then blast it under the hand drier for a few seconds before putting it back on the nappy for reuse.  Twice, thanks to a repeat performance by Bob!

Once you have bought them, there are no ongoing liner costs or the hassle of making sure you don’t run out.  Poo drops off a fleece liner very easily into the toilet for the most part.  Even relatively squidgy ones will usually drop off if you turn the liner over into an upside down rainbow shape and wiggle your hands a bit.  If the worst comes to the worst, “picking” at one end of the poo with a piece of toilet paper is usually enough to start it peeling itself off (how much detail do you really want on “poo management”?!).  Actually, the easiest thing to do is just to drop the fleece into the loo and leave it for a few minutes.  When you lift it out, most of the poo will have come off anyway - the only risk is, you might forget it’s there and flush it away.

Love these liners, much better than paper liners. My boy no longer gets a rash from soggy liners sticking to him and is kept pretty dry. Easy to flick poop off and more or less dried after the washing machine spin! Recommend!

My baby is just over 4 months and still being breastfed. These liners are suitable for this stage but am yet to try them on weaned poo...!
I also find these handy for night time nappies that don't have a fleece layer touching their skin to keep them feeling dry all night.
4 stars because they are a little pricey for what is essentially a rectangle of fabric.

Good size, dry fast, hold most poo, keep bum dry. Much better than disposable liners which bunch up and got the hassle of buying and expense. Seemed expensive for what is, but then I struggled to find this thin fleece material in fabric shops when looking. Also does go quite bobbly.

Ok fleece liner. I personally prefer the LL fleece liners to these, as much softer. Nice and long and easier to flush away any poo that might be stuck on...unlike my LL fleece liners!

I really like this product. They do keep the moisture from the baby's bum, they wash well and don't seem to stain, but...it is basically a piece of fleece that has been cut into rectangles, there is no processing so the price seems steep to me.

I am a first time cloth nappy user and I am a huge fan of these. They are nice and long and very soft, easy to wash (even with not so solid poo of a 4 week old). I just quickly wash them in the sink and they dry very quickly. Would recommend 100 %.

Serve the purpose admirably.

Exactly what you want in a liner - plenty big enough, easy to rinse, quick to dry and comfortable (at least I assume so!). They do tend to stick out of a smaller shaped nappy at the legs, but this hasn't caused any problems and probably pads out the elastic nicely. A good investment in the longevity of your reusable nappies - at 5 for ten you can't go wrong.

Lots of good points
Monday, 27 April 2015  |

We've always used paper liners but when they ran out I de used to try something new. These are lovely and soft but did take a few washes to stop the wee running off at night. They are great as feel dry even when nappy is very soggy. They washwell and don't stain and the size is great with our mother ease one size and Bumbles. With more solid poos they are great as it just rolls off but wet poos are more tricky. Great containment - So much better than paper with an active toddler - but canbe tricky to get off - needs lots of dunking in toilet which is fine at home but I'm not keen on doing this when out and husband never keen to dunk! So lots of good points but does depend on how you feel about dealing with wet poos!

Do the job!
Friday, 13 March 2015  |

I use these alternately with disposable liners which are much thinner and therefore don't bulk up the nappy even more. When you've got two boosters then a thick fleece liner it does make the nappy huge but they work and wash well so in that respect I have no complaints.

Great, but a bit big!
Monday, 12 January 2015  |

These are brilliant - lovely and soft, quick to dry, and do a top job at keeping baby's bottom dry. However I think they are wicking the urine and causing more leaks round the legs as they are so wide they reach the edge of the nappy. So I've started folding about 1cm over on the width and this seems to work. So I might cut this off in time. But overall a great purchase and I am thoroughly converted to reusable liners now!

These are much easier to rinse than the liners which came with the Little Lambs nappies. I just wish they came in the same size and shape, because it's a bit annoying to have to fold them to fit. But then maybe they need to be that big to fit in the next size up of nappies.

We decided to switch over from paper liners with our 14 month old as we now have a newborn using paper liners and were concerned with the amount of them going down the toilet.
They work really nicely, his poo just peels off into the toilet and usually leaves very little on the fleece, not sure I'd want to use them with pre weaned poo though.
Very simple but do the job well and for a great price.

Bit of a faff
Monday, 6 October 2014  |

I don't really like fleece liners. Inevitably baby sits in the poo and squishes it into the fleece and then it's really hard to get off. One flush doesn't do it. You have to leave the liner to soak in the loo for a while before the poo will come off. You forget, of course - we've flushed at least one already. It's also kind of gross and then you're putting a dripping wet liner into your nappy bin.

I do use these at night because I do think they keep baby drier and more comfortable. One trick is to change baby early in the morning when she's just woken up - before she poos. But during the day I use disposable liners so I can flush the poo and get on with my life!

I love the soft fleece and how easily the poo falls off these. Miles better than paper liners. I am having a problem however with flooding - my son seems to be doing power-wees and they aren't absorbing it quickly enough through to the nappy underneath. I did prewash them a couple of times - am I doing something wrong?

Our little boy likes to poo soon after a nappy change and these are a laundry saver! The liner is so wide that it covers the nappy area (we use BG 4.0 and LL pocket nappies) so it catches the poo and we can just change the liner. I'm really glad we bought these. Thank you, Nappy Lady.

Absolutely fab
Thursday, 24 July 2014  |

I started on flushable liners and found that they stuck to baby's bum and felt so wet and horrible against her skin. My friend recommended fleece liners, so I got these. They are brilliant. They keep their shape so catch the poo and they draw moisture away and into the inserts so baby doesn't have wet fabric against her skin. Price is great and cheaper than flushables too as you don't need to keep buying them, they just get washed with the nappies.

I would say to anyone thinking of getting flushable liners, don't bother, get these fleece ones instead.

Great, well recommended for any type of fully reusable system
Saturday, 12 July 2014  |

We used these with our first from birth, but when we found we needed more nappies, went with cotton fleece liners for them. The lack if wickingmeant little boy had wetness for longer than ideal, and nappy rash around teething was horrendous. With the synthetic fleece liners, and their wicking ability the rash is immensely minimized. They're inexpensive, wash easily and bleach well in the sun. Recommended to anyone using any type of reusable system

Really great and seem to do a great job wicking the wee away. 4.5 yr ago I bought a pack of these and a more expensive make and they have both been equally as good. This newer pack seems better still so why pay more?
I never mastered the flicking poo concept so when poos become solid will probably use with paper liner again.

Good value for money
Sunday, 1 June 2014  |

When I first started using reusable nappies I was a bit grossed out at the idea of washable liners, but now I'm weaning my baby and her poo is more solid I realised I was just keeping a bin full of poos since everything else went in he wash! That grossed me out more! I also wanted something fluffy and soft next to my baby's skin rather than paper that scrunched up.
These fit lovely in the nappy, and seem to do the trick, we've had the odd poo thats been hard to get off but she generally only goes once a day. I wouldn't recommend them for babies that haven't started weaning yet as soft poo would be a nightmare, but it must be so much more comfortable on her bottom, and very cost effective too.

I love these washable fleece liners. I use them with little lamb nappy plus booster. I found new breast fed baby poo does stick to the liner, so am using a paper liner on top to get rid of most of the mess, and the micro fleece liners catch the rest and save the nappy from stains. Great product. Size is good as quite large. Lovely and soft.

Good absorbency, but poo stain needs washing!!
Saturday, 25 January 2014  |

I love the feel of these liners and their absorbency capacity. Also they literally come out dry from the washing machine. 5 stars for their urine holding capacity. My 3 stars is only for the reason that poo stain needs manual washing forcing me to keep paper liners over top of them. My LO is just 2 months and the yellow liquid poo doesn't clean up that easily without manual washing with soap.
Great service from Nappy lady as always
Any ideas nappy lady to help avoid this ???

Response:

Fleece liners are just that liners they don't have any absorbency at all. They are there to keep baby feeling dry (wee goes through but doesn't come back up). Newborn liquid poo often doesn't come off these easily with sluicing in the toilet (it will do once they are weaned). If you find this is the case just store straight in the bucket and let the washing machine do the work.

I have used disposable liners for many months thinking they were really good until the change to these - they add no more hassle to the nappy washs etc and are much much better at wicking away the moisture from my little ladies bum, plus they do not screw up or shift about like the vicose liners do. They wash clean really easily in the flush of the loo and dry almost instantlyl, wish I had gone with these from the begining!

Excellent liners, large enough to cover the whole nappy area, not too flimsy. I also use them as wipes when we are at home, dipped in a jug of fresh water. They come out dry from the washing machine. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the fabric is not Oeko-tex certified like other brands. When new, they need about 5 washes before they will let water go through them.

These liners are nice and soft and do the job well. I use them in Totsbots Easyfit V3s - they are slightly larger and thicker than the ones that Totsbots provide with the nappy but it's easy to poke in any edges sticking out when checking for gaps round the legs. They wash well and are good quality and value.

Fantastic Liners
Tuesday, 16 July 2013  |

I've found these liners are fantastic to use. Before ordering them I purchase a liner sample kit from the nappy lady & found we prefered the thicker liners. I then remembered I'd got some fleece liners from totsbots with my nappies & I tried them.

The totsbots fleeces were good but I didn't have enough so I ordered these. I'm so glad I did!!

They are much thicker than the totsbots fleece liners and cheaper in price! It takes a few washes for things to soak through right but once it does it soaks through quickly leaving skin leaving nice & dry. Because they are thick they stay I place in the nappy plus wash fantastically - After 2 months of using fleece liners, my totsbots ones look tired & ready for the bin where as these still look new.

If your already washing your nappies then what more is it to wash the liners.... & better yet why not use washable wipes too - but that's another review

Started out using disposable liners, but they weren't a great hit - our daughter did not enjoy the feeling of wetness she'd been spared in her disposables, and her bottom started getting a bit red, even with us changing her nappies more than twice as often as we had her disposables. These liners changed everything - her nappies can stay on as long as the disposables, and her bottom seems a lot happier as well.

As we're using cloth wipes and nappies, it makes sense to have reuseable liners as well!
